Rooms needs updating. The bath tub had cracked tiles etc. Buffet breakfast is over priced for customers who do not eat a lot of food for breakfast.

Old, dark, poor internet, mosquitoes in the room.

I was the hotel for one night, as I transferred to Nairobi for work. Due to Covid restrictions, most of the hotel was closed/blocked for use, but overall, the room was fine, internet connection good, and had a pleasant stay.

The room wasnt to my expectation. The photo of room/bed shown on Hotels.com is not exactly as it is. The room while it has king size bed, is smaller than expected. Room service only done to close curtains..dirty towels etc are not changed during evening.

The back gate closes at 7pm which is too early. It has security so they can keep it open till late

The staff at Jacarand hotel is very friendly and helpfult, especially the front desk staff, but also those who work at the restaurant. The hotel has a big and very nice garden where you can relax or work. The gym is big and very good. The hotel in itself is more of a reminiscence of past times. It's quite well-kept, but you feel a little bit that it's best days have past, which is a shame since it has a very good location and few hotels around enjoy such a big garden. You can use a "backdoor" close to the restaurant and go directly to a shopping mall just across the street where you will find for example Java house, Mugg and beans. In the neighbourhood you will find many restaurants in a walking distance, but the traffic is very hectic and Nairobi is the city least made for pedestrians that I ever have seen. If you have time, I highly recommend a visit in the fantastic Karura forest to relax and become one with nature again.

GM Margaret invited me to have a coffee and breakfast and constantly asking for ways to improve and feedback. Fabulous. Safe, secure and well located. Brilliant gardens with huge pool and well equipped gym. Super for business. Everyone knows location added to which parking and security are top notch. Thanks to all the staff for making me so extremely welcome throughout my stay. I'll miss those awesome breakfasts.

Excellent attentive staff. Lovely grounds. Easy access to shopping.

Nice lap swimming pool and gym. rooms a little dated in style, and desk height is not ideal for working with laptop. Had to use cushions to get chair to the right height.

Clean, conveniently located but noisy some nights dut to their proximity to a casino with loud music/a live band.

The hotel has a great location and a wonderful staff. It has beautiful gardens and is a jewel in the middle of Nairobi. Close to everything. BUT. The rooms all need drastic renovation. I had an older room and while I lived there for 6 nights and slept, the carpet smelled awful and was visibly dirty, the curtains had not been washed for 12 years at least. Just do not think that the basic hygiene measures are being taken. Could be such a great hotel with a bit of facelift. Such a pity.

The Jacaranda hotel was perfect for our stay in Nairobi which was a combination of work and pleasure. It provided value for money and I would recommend it for anyone needing a hotel within this price range.

The hotel has a back to Sari Centre but the back closes early. The security is fine. The food is so good. It has in addition a fantastic restaurant outside using the same WiFi with the hotel hence you can just take your laptop and continue working. A well equipped and Spa The rooms are okay, the sheets and towels are sparkling white. A good hotel I must say.

I had a good stay - I always stay here in Nairobi for its proximity to our office. The hotel needs some serious upgrades - this would have been top of the line 20 years ago, but now you can tell its a bit outdated.
