West Wood Hotel is a real gem given the proximity to all Westlands facilities like malls and restaurants and bordering Karura Forest.

The backyard garden is a beautiful site. There are monkeys everywhere, elephant bamboo and the review runs through as well. I found it very serene.

The location was amazing, with the Karura Forest right there, surrounded by nature and a good view of it from the room. The staff were helpful all the time. My stay was very comfortable. I only have one complaint, the Wi-Fi in the room was very poor, signal kept going off.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I never write reviews like this, but I strongly, strongly do not recommend this hotel. As we were departing for our flight, Diana (the food and beverage manager) locked us in the hotel compound, holding us hostage, ordering us to pay a wildly inaccurate bill ($325 more than we owed), and refusing to let us speak to Gerusha (the hotel manager). When I finally spoke with Gerusha, days later, instead of apologizing, she treated it as a negotiation to see how much extra money she could get out of us. I then reached out to several people in their hotel group, Superior Hotels, and, it turns out nobody is in charge. Their Operations Manager, Winnie, is out of the country and the Superior Hotels group claims they have no way to reach her. If anything goes wrong with your stay here, know that the managers are unscrupulous and that there is no recourse.

We loved our stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff super friendly.

The staff were amazing and sweet, liked that they brought me a hot water bottle when I was cold. They also constantly checked if i was okay.

The hotel can't be found on uber or google maps, that should be fixed to make it easier to get there
