Nice hotel within walking distance of the main street in El Calafate with restaurants and bars. Reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was fairly basic, but did offer cooked eggs on request. The room was nice - ours was on a heated corridor and also had under-floor heating - which was very useful for drying clothes and boots after a rainy day.

The location is not ideal the service from the staff of the hotel is inappropriate, they give suggestions without being specific and in the middle of nowhere with freezing temperatures is not nice

Very hot and humid inside the room and very far from amenities

Pictures don’t quite make justice to the place. Good size room and so was the bathroom, bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they even helped us book some tours to the glaciar park and other activities. Location was great, walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops in town. Breakfast was okay and they don’t have a/c (which is not needed if your visit is during the cool temperature months)

The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very loud when other guests were walking by and talking, which is the reason for the low review. It was difficult to sleep through the noise.

Overall it was good, the only thing was the twin bed request that hadn't been taken into account but was fixed in the hour. And we had to wait for an extra day for the laundry, hopefully we had some spare clean clothes.

El Calafante is mostly a Base for your daily excursions. This lodging is well-suited and more than adequate for this purpose. Upscale lodgings are available in this City - but are unnecessary- unless you've "got to have it"

We truly enjoyed our stay in El Calafate. The rooms at Glaciar are simple, but clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The town is very walkable from this hotel.

Fantastic location, really central for town and pickups which you can't fault, relaxed vibe and really helpful reception staff. The breakfast was okay but had an early start which was handy. Our room was showing signs of wear and tear but were made up daily. You could hear a lot of noise from the walkways which started early given folk were off and away on excursions - take earplugs.

The experience with the hotel glaciar libertador was very good. Carlos working at the reception of this hotel was very helpfull and very nice. He advised and arranged for me the different activities I could do in El Calafate and around (Los glaciares Spegazzini, Upsala, Perito Moreno) at reasonable prices. The room was clean and breakfast was good. I definitely recommand this hotel !

Pleasant hotel in great location. A lot of small things missing. Minimal space for storage and no hooks for hanging towels, etc. A few more $$ towards what you'd normally find in a hotel would make this place excellent.

One off the main reason to choose this hotel was the payment will do in the hotel.
Despite this condition the hotel charge mi credit card in US$ before arrival and did not permit me to pay in the hotel either at arrival check in or leaving.
This is important because exist with argentina a serius matter regards the exhchange rate between ARS$ and US$. (currency arbitrage)
And the pay in US$ is almost the double. The owner of hotel did not made anything to correct this situation
This is a not completion of its obligations as what as agreed.

The atmosphere was really nice, but the night was very uncomfortable. The heating was on and couldn’t be turned of. The room was an oven and very noisy. I really liked the place but slept horribly.

Great location, Wonderful & friendly staff, Extremely Clean

We loved staying at this hotel. So many kind and friendly people which made our first trip to Argentina a success. Rooms were very clean. Location was perfect since it was right on the main street. They also had a great restaurant inside the hotel and everyone was very nice and welcoming there.

Carlos was really great; very funny & helpful even w/ the safe; Senor Durante was very Argentinian, warm, loving, staff were great, cooked fresh scramble egg. The price was right the amenities available.

It’s an hostel but we choose to stay in a double room. The location is good, 20 minutes away from the bus station and 5 minutes from the Main Street, with lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The only downside was the floor is heated and it was really too hot in the room... the breakfast was simple but with choice of eggs and empanadas were good too
