Comfy B&B.

Lovely host and great breakfast. Loud people below us watching TV late and slamming doors made it hard to sleep.

Had a good overnight stay at the BnB; basic accommodations but clean and functional.

Very nice and close the stores and bars for walking.

Comfortable room, comfortable beds. Very nice owner, who waited for us despite a considerable delay and prepared a great breakfast.

Friendly staff, close to town.

First off, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Really made us feel welcome in the space. The breakfast was great and we had lots of options on the menu to choose from. The room itself was small but the beds were comfortable and the natural light was nice. The bathroom was a bit of a problem — The shower was very small and there was a restriction on how long a shower we could take because it was solar-powered hot water. The water never really got hot, just warm, unfortunately. As well, the toilet in the room flushed strangely and we struggled to figure out how to get it to work at all. That was a challenge. The free WiFi did not work the entire first evening/night we arrived on any of our devices (including other guests we spoke to over breakfast) and was consistently spotty and dropping in and out the whole time we were there. Very slow when connected and often fell off. Not a good place if you won't have data or need WiFi for work. The b&b is a bit far away from the city which made walkability a bit of a challenge if you're not interested in a 30 minute walk just to get there. Would consider driving from accommodation or picking a more centralized hotel next time.

My friend and I had a nice stay, we did feel the room was a little bit cold, we reported this and we were given a blow heater so that we could use it as and when needed. This was a very satisfactory solution

Clean property, delicious breakfast, friendly host

Both the rooms and dining room were lovely and beautifully decorated. The host, David, was very welcoming and he also served a great breakfast.

The property is very tired problems with hot water availability and heat in the rooms. Compared to many other b&b in Ireland the breakfast were very basic with no fruit , yogurt or cereals. Numerous notes of what you should not do were posted and did not create a welcoming atmosphere. Pictures are deceiving as is the “join us for a drink in our lounge”. Good location basic accommodation.

The room was very smal,the listed ensuite bed seemed very small,very old and had large wooden corners on the two bottom ends which being a small room you had difficulty not hurting yourselves on.The ensuite was extremely old and needs a complete new suite.Thought the price of one nights stay is far too expensive for what is on offer.Would not return.

Great location but property is old and worn. Surprised shower head kept falling out of shower arm while jerryrigged with zip ties. Not a positive experience. Rates out of range for lack of updates.

A very nice stay with the host David. Location is 15 minute walk to town. Nice area and furnishings. A fantastic Full Irish Breakfast too boot.

David is a wonderful host. He is very friendly and had lots of helpful information about Kilkenny. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying at Launard House. I would offer a few heads up. The house is in need of some touch-up. The water heater is limited, so showers need to be short. We had problems getting the toilet to flush. They do have washcloths, which was very unusual, and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. Plus, there was a top sheet on the bed, which was also unusual and very much appreciated.

Like a home away from home l. David had good suggestions for what to do in the area and he has a very warm welcome when you arrive.

We had a pretty good night stay here. Host was friendly, breakfast was included and delicious good and the location was easy to find and safe. Kilkenny is a great little town to explore. Lots of fun. But the property could use some attention. Walls are super thin - could hear conversation in next room. Only window was a skylight, shower was super tiny and did not drain and the room itself - lighting, towels, carpeting - could use an update.

Nice B&B with an extremely helpful host

Bathroom clean. Linen clean. Furnished to character and lovely. In General just tired and in need of freshen up in room - Carpet stained and dirty looking in room, kids complained no way to shut out the light as skylight. Other than that meets the bill.

Delicious breakfast

Property was a lovely, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The bed arrangement was perfect for my family (2 adults, 2 kids).
