Great gem of a find

The property is a little run down but the room was spacious and everything was provided for us. The only thing that we didn’t get was an iron for our clothes, which was a little surprising! Breakfast was ok and nothing to write home about. Location was great and we were able to walk around the old town and see all the temples and markets etc.

Everything was good except hot water in bathroom. It couldn' t use on the second day 🚿🛁

My family of 3 stayed for 4 nights at the Viang Thapae resort. The property was very clean, well-maintained, and the ambiance was homey and welcoming in Thai decor and fashion. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or needed help with anything during our stay. Our third floor room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The A/C was also greatly appreciated throughout the night. It was a quiet and calm respite from the craziness of the night market, but conveniently close to shopping, street food vendors, and restaurants, just a short 5 minute away from everything! It was also only 5 minutes away from the GSB bank, which offered the best rates for converting our USD currency to bahts, The bathroom was clean and well-stocked, but the water was often at inconsistent temperatures, so sometimes our showers were lukewarm at best. It rained a few days, and the resort offered the free use of their umbrellas, which was a very nice touch. We used Grab to get around, but they usually stopped 100 feet to the left of the entrance, so be sure to walk out to check for their arrival. The resort offered daily breakfast and had a beautiful pool, but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to use either. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit!

Very cool property. Great staff. Nice pool. Cool Thai style building. Not too far from the night market and the main square entrance. A number of food options not too far away. The desk helped book us perfect tours. Would return.

This hotel is a gem. It’s located walking distance to scooter rentals and is in a prime location. Hotel itself was kept clean. The Wi-Fi is patchy sometimes and the water isn’t the hottest for more than a couple minutes. All in all. Well worth the stay

Very quiet good location close to the square. Easy to walk around. Great breakfast clean room

The property is in a very convenient location being a block off in two directions and two blocks off in a third direction from busy areas. I did not hear the slightest bit of road noise. Street outside the hotel is used but lightly. Breakfast was good. Room very pleasant and safe. A very nice property that I would use again.

It was perfectly located, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Very quiet and serene. Staff was so kind.

Everything was really nice. The only thing that could potentially be improved is breakfast: western choices were really limited.

It went beyond expectations! The place was so much better than I predicted. Massive, clean, and decorated. Its not one of those stilted, minimal hotel rooms. Honestly, the bed was super comfortable, everything worked perfectly, and the free breakfast was great. Would recommend to anyone!
