Terrace Green is a nice little boutique hotel in a quiet location in Negombo. I stayed a night there and the room, service and food were all good. But unfortunately I had the unpleasant experience of having valuables stolen from my luggage during my transit from the US to Colombo. It is not clear where exactly the incident occurred. The driver who picked me at airport in Colombo (arranged by the hotel) asked to make a pitstop at check out an Ayurveda farm (even though i was tired after a long flight) where the owner insisted on touring the place and purchasing products. This was highly unusual. The hotel was responsive to my complaint and had CCTV footage available to review to confirm the theft didnt occur there. However the theft ultimately couldnt be traced leaving me with a bad experience.
If traveling alone i would recommend staying in downtown Colombo area instead of Negombo.

The hotel is comfortable, clean and pretty well located with staff who were very responsive to a couple of minor issues. The main reasons I didn't give a higher rating is because of:
* noise generated by some inconsiderate guests partying through the night which highlighted that the rooms are not very sound-proof
* no pool nor anywhere really to relax outside your room (apart from the restaurant and reception).

Good place to stay before starting our tour. Easy communication for Airport pick up was arranged through the hotel. The Salt restaurant was so good that we had our evening meals there on two nights.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We choose this hotel for its proximity to the airport and the free shuttle to the airport.
Don’t expect much to do around.
The rooms were nice and clean.
The restaurant is very good though a bit pricey.
Special mention to the massage at the SPA, we loved it and highly recommend it. We had both the aromatherapy and the deep tissue and they were really great.

Hotel had kind staff but neighborhood dogs and visible crack on our rooms balcony door made us not sleep much at all the night we stayed. Dogs barked repeatedly throughout the night and we had to call the front desk to quiet them several times throughout the night so we could sleep. They need better soundproofing for the rooms or assistance relocating the dogs to homes ideally if they’re strays. We would not stay here again based on how poorly we slept.

Lovely place in Negombo near the beach. Room was comfortable and had wonderful pillows. Just the right mix of softness and firmness. Appreciated the airport pickup. That made arrival easy given we came in on an early evening flight. Overall, recommend this hotel.

The staffs here were friendly, well mannered, and caring. The room was nice but the room needs to be cleaner (i.e. bidet needs to be cleaner, saw ants by coffee/tea station). The restaurant in the hotel had delicious breakfast.

A nice place to stay with the spa and in-house dining but no pool. Dinner service for a simple meal was very slow given 6 chefs in the kitchen and 3 people in restaurant.
Had to get batteries in air con and tv remotes changed and 2 light globes replaced. Although done promptly when asked. Housekeeping in room was very good. Very noisy from 6am when kitchen staff come on duty as open kitchen and my room on first floor and from music playing in foyer. Also noisy from cars etc coming to hotel as I was at the front of building on first floor. Small wall tv not in front of beds and far away. Very dim bedside lamps so had to turn all lights on to read at night.

I stayed here one night before leaving Sri Lanka. The day I checked in I told them I needed the free airport shuttle. The next morning, two other groups left before me and their shuttles were on time. When it came time for me to leave, My shuttle didn't show up until 35 minutes after the requested time. I do believe it was the same car that took the other group which is ridiculous. There's no way I could have been on time. I came within one or two minutes of missing my flight. Would not stay at this hotel again due to their lackadaisical attitude.

Needed to stay near the airport prior to leaving Colombo. Only 20 min drive to the airport. Would also be a good place to stay if arriving in Sri Lanka and heading north Staff welcoming and accommodating. Lovely comfortable room. Great meals. Airport transfer included in price. Safe hotel if you’re a female travelling solo.

I arrived later in the evening so couldn't really tell what was around the property. I went for a walk in the morning and was pleasantly surprised by the surroundings. It is about a ten minute walk to the beach and restaurants. It is in a quiet area so it was easy to sleep. They also provided free transportation which was very convenient. The room was beautiful and clean and gave a feeling of calmness when I walked into it.

The staff is very welcoming, especially the two who work in the restaurant (Lasith and Sand... honestly forgot his name) The man who cleaned our room went above and beyond daily. The ladies at the front desk were helpful, and the night desk trainee was pleasant and always greeted us with a smile. Overall, the staff really makes the place. It is clean, comfortable and close to the beach. Definite recommendation!

Nothing more to say on management of hotel itself and all of staff. Good enough for money value. However size of room is bit small to be used by two people. Good to find that small but clean rooftop spa has awesome theraphist. I feel thanks on my luck to get treatment from this theraphist. Food too was good but little salty... Resort was helpful in making transfer to/from airport and had a nice restaurant on site. Room was large and well organized. No A/C but the ceiling fan and balcony were nice. We were out on excursions so didn't see much of the room. The staff was amazing. It was about 30 minutes from the airport and taxi was $15 USD/pp for the return. $5/pp for pick-up with a sign at arrivals.
