Conveniently located and fully equipped

Check in was a little clunky and parking was challenging, but overall a great place to stay. The downstairs door slams too hard and creates noise.

Efficient check in with door codes thru email, was able to store small suitcases before check in. Nice neighbourhood- we slept very well, not too noisy but easy access to city centre by foot or scooter. Very comfortable beds and apt has great layout. You could fit a family in nicely. Would stay there again. Full kitchen to prepare meals and snacks

The property is tidy, clean, spacious, and walking distance to attractions in downtown area. Check in/out was easy and smooth. The host was responsive and got back to our email/text very quickly to make sure our inquiries were addressed. We enjoyed our stay there.

The apartment is perfect for a couple or a family. Plenty of room and a great location in the city. It was very clean and the hosts were very quick to respond to any questions or requests that we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Haphazard amenities, cracks in windows, blunt communication, and a poor shower set up. Nice living room and location.

Tyr apartments were very clean and in a good location, close to many restaurants and shops. We would of given the apartments 5 out of 5, the only problem was the bedroom window has a large gap between the window and the wall. The gap had been partly filled with tape and paper but this didnt stop a very cold draft coming through, we could also hear a lot of street noise through this gap, which woke us up several times. This would not stop us recommending this property as everything else was excellent.

Very clean , bright 1 Bedroom apartment with additional very comfortable sofa bed in lounge. There were 3 of us, but easily would fit for 2 couples if required. Very convenient location - a stone thrown away from the centre and only 15 mins walk to BSI bus station where most tours starts. Pick up Stop 9 only 3 mins walk There is a luggage room and laundry room in the building. Convenient check in process (just a message with door access code - no mess with keys) Hob, oven, kettle, coffee maker, pans and cutlery . The only thing we personally were missing was a microwave oven , but I guess it is down to personal preferences. Otherwise, it was a perfect 5 nights stay for us

A very warm apartment quite well equipped , however no kettle and the micro wave was situated in a very high cupboard above the fridge freezer. It was impossible to reach without standing on a chair, (so we didn't ) There were spare duvets and pillows however no spare covers. everything was very clean but some wall tiles in the bathroom were about to fall off. The location was very good, within easy walking distance of the harbour and centre. there was a handy corner shop at the end of the street.

Loved Tyr apartments - had everything you could ever need to cook your own meals… even gave extra bedding for couch to convert for more sleeping space. Perfectly located near downtown and city center and plenty of street parking around. 10/10

The location was very convenient for tour bus pick ups, restaurants and shopping (including groceries). Would recommend.

Nice apartment in city centre. Anyway a quiet area. 100 meter from the shopping street. And nice bath and swimming fascilities 200m up the street.

It was a complete modern, clean, apartment for our family of 3 with very clear and comprehensive instructions for all the appliances in the on line listing.

One bedroom apartment in a very central district, walking distance to the main tourist street. On ground floor on a corner, so not the quietest, and also need to keep blinds down so people cannot look in. Could not work out how to close the sofa bed.

Very nice and convenient apartment in the center of Reykjavik. Ideal for spending some days in Islands capital. Everything was is needed was present. We enjoyed very much and can just recomment.

There was no proper cleaning done prior to our arrival. Toilet is dirty and rubbish left uncleaned. We paid for 4 pax but the apartment only serve 3 pax. The double sofa bed was given bedsheet that doesn’t fir, single bedsheet was given instead of double. We informed the hotel personnel to do housekeeping the next day but they never came. In fact, they asked us to collect the new set of towels on our own at the store room. We have paid for cleaning but there is no housekeeping throughout. And definitely no free parking, wrong info in their posting. Bad bad real bad. Will never stay there again. Con-ster.

Great place to stay in downtown Reykjavik. The place is spacious and comfortable with lots of places to store clothes, a closet for your outdoor gear and everything you need in the kitchen area to make a quick breakfast. Despite it being really cold outside we barely needed the heating on as well.

The apartment was amazing. Very clean, veey comfortable beds. We hadn't anticipated a roll away bed but we had one which was great! Close to everything downtown in walking distance. Would greatly recommend. Also had a keypad so no keys to carry around:)

The outside of the building was run-down looking, but the inside of the apartment was clean and nice. Overall, given the price, I would recommend it, but it would be nice if the city would do a better job of eliminating graffiti in this particular neighborhood.

The kitchen was excellent and we were able to self cater the entire time we stayed there. The check-in and security code access was very straight forward and convenient. Beds were comfortable and everything well appointed. Very convenient walking to anywhere in the city. We had a rental car for part of our stay, and we were able to find free parking by night and on the weekend on the street. On the weekday, we parked for free near the Hallgrímskirkja as their instructions suggested, and walked to the apartment (less than 10 minutes). The only challenge we had was street noise. The windows let a lot of sound through - we could hear parties, as well as cars passing through the night, and it was loud enough to wake us up - but I expected this with a location in such a central part of the city, so it's not a big deal. It's just worth being aware of if there are light sleepers. The bedroom that backed on to Grettisgata was much quieter than the other one.

Apartment is spacious and comfortable. Everything was cleaned and in great condition. The only downside was that we were up in the third floor and there is no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs.

Excellent. Good location and had everything we needed, including comfy beds!
