The lake view was breathtaking. The hotel was clean and beautiful. Will definitely be back if I’m in Iowa again!

We only had 1 bath towel 1 hand towel 1 wash cloth and no bath mat. There were 2 of us in the room. Also the “lake view” was a little deceiving.

Such a beautiful setting right on the lake! We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset while sipping wine at their patio bar!

Mattress is way too soft. Tv did not work. Location is excellent. Cute town and lake feel.

It was so beautiful love it.

Not the property fault, however we had a neighbor up all night trying to recenter building so we got very little sleep, maybe 3 hours of sleep! Our whole floor was not happy!

Passing through for work - decided to stop here for a night and fish. Worth it.

Staff was very accomodating with my early check in request. They even called me to say room was ready.

We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Lovely view of lake. Enjoyed the bar and grill on site.

Parking was not ideal

On Friday night July 12 they had a band in the evening. They were very vulgar and cursing a lot. Cuss words in their songs. There were children around. We thought it was very inappropriate. The band fought and argued during their breaks, and then packing up. There was an argument as well. Everything else was fine. Very friendly staff

Me and my late husband stayed there for our honeymoon and it was the perfect place. So last weekend I took my kids there to see and they absolutely loved it too.

Everything for the most part was great 👍 But dock was not safe to moor your private boat I also found a rusty nail 2x6 floating inside one of the dilapidated customer slips… I set it nails down on the unusable dock slip…. I’ll bet it’s still there, as there was 0 evidence of upkeep.. The gals at the front desk were nice but never there early in the morning for coffee, which I turned on myself a couple days a little after 6.. One morning the front desk didn’t open until after 8:15?? Garbage removal? We did it.. Fresh towels and wash clothes? We refreshed them.. PARKING TOTALLY SUCKS!! With the cones and small spaces… For some reason you asked…. So I had to be honest…. Otherwise we loved the room and view 👍

Stayed for location to downtown and view. Liked the bar and grill attached with lake view. Our balcony view blocked by rooftop of the bar and grill. Dont stay in 204 for that reason as all other rooms looked to have great view of lake. Id stay again, just a different room gaving problems with hot water. Wife didnt have hot water for shower

We loved our stay at Lakeside! We highly recommend getting a balcony room. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. We'll be back!

They were having troubles with hot water heater so showers were cold sometimes and for how much the rates were you would hope for a hot shower

It was by the lake.

Older but well maintained, clean, and updated property right on the water. Very near to downtown and not far from The Surf Ballroom. Friendly staff. Not much of a continental breakfast. No elevator and front desk shuts down at 8pm.

We went for an overnight stay was a nice room. There is a restaurant and bar attached so had some drinks. Sucks can’t access lake after restaurant closes.

Our only negatives were in the room. The bed and pillows were not the most comfortable, and there is not a regular closet. There is no place to hang anything longer than a shirt. But that is also a personal preference thing. The location and view cannot be beat. And the hotel staff were very good. Overall we had a wonderful stay.
