I took my seven kids to the lake house for a weekend getaway. We had a great time! We loved the lake/fishing decorating theme. The house was a perfect fit for us. It comfortably slept 8. The main level has a nice open floor plan. Although we did not use the fireplace, it is beautiful and would be a wonderful amenity in the cooler months. There is a nice view of the lake from the front porch. The host was very helpful with a question that I had during our stay. The house is in a nice location close to many of the Clear Lake attractions. We highly recommend this house to anyone visiting Clear Lake!

Lovely cottage style home with a gracious and accommodating host. The built in fireplace made for some cozy family time on the cold evenings, and the direct access to downtown Clear Lake made finding things to do easy. Cleanliness was a bit to be desired, I ended up doing a bit of my own cleaning before the rest of my family arrived. But other than that, it was a throughly charming getaway.

This house was GREAT for a weekend getaway in November! Exactly as promised in listing. Clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen let us cook a little Friendsgiving dinner :) We had 3 couples, one toddler, and a dog. It never felt crowded. We LOVED the fireplace inside and the location to the lake and town was walking distance. Pam was a fabulous host who communicated very well. We got to meet her and she was so kind. I would highly recommend a stay here!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property. Very clean, super neighborhood, close to lake and downtown area. Owner was so accommodating and this property met our every need. It’s a Hallmark movie town. So charming! We would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the front porch area and the lake views!

Great place. Kitchen is amazing. Three bedrooms up all have their own AC. Only quirk is that the upstairs bath has a tub with a hand held shower unit. Well stocked, close to everything. Will definitely stay there again

This rental was perfect for us and our dogs. Easy access to lake and walking distance to city park, Main Street and The Surf area. Right in the middle of things and everyone cruises by so you get to see all who come to enjoy Clear Lake. The neighbors are lovely and people are so friendly in this beautiful small town. The lake is gorgeous and I recommend you get out on it. Plenty of space for us and we had some friends come visit and sat out on the front deck. Kitchen is huge and everything is there for those who want to grill/cook/entertain, we kept it simple and patronized many restaurants. Hosts are attentive and easy to contact and we would definitely rent again. I fully recommend this place and Clear Lake!

Really enjoyed this house and location. Just a stones throw from the lake, beach, and downtown activities. Cozy and well maintained home. Property owner was amazing to work with and communicate with. Looking forward to booking again in the future!

Very close to the lake so my friends could pick me up on the boat! My teenagers enjoyed it being close to downtown and park. Nice area with plenty of parking

We enjoyed our stay at this cute house. It was super close to Clear Lake and the community park. When we checked in, one of the heaters wasn’t working. The property manager answered my call quickly and had her maintenance team there and he was able to resolve the issue. Very impressed with all the communication and quick response.

Another fun year at the Winter Dance Party! The location of Away at the Lake is ideal for any event at the Surf only being a few minute walk. The cabin has all the comforts of home. We were able to entertain friends for a lunch and night caps after the Surf. We even stayed an extra night to rest and relax before our trip home Monday. Our trip was fun and because of our stay at Away at the Lake it was extremely comfortable!

We had a great stay. It was a cold weekend and we loved staying in, watching football, playing cards and enjoying the fire. Island in kitchen was a nice gathering place. Hosts were responsive and very accommodating!

Stayed for a weekend with family for a quick girls' trip. Owner was quick to respond to any questions and the location was so close to the lake and walkable to downtown. We would love to stay again in the future!

My wife and I stayed for a quick weekend and couldn’t have been happier. We just built a fire and drank coffee in the morning and enjoyed the local restaurants for dinner.

We were very happy with our experience here! The only confusing thing was the parking. A more specific direction regarding that would be helpful. The location was perfect for us! It was close to the park, beach and splash pad. It was a great weekend!

The owners have thought through all the essentials to make renters feel at home. The unit is well stocked with all items you’ll need. They even included two bottles of wine! The location is great, and walkable to the lake, downtown, and park.

What a wonderful stay we had at Away at the Lake! The home had such character and was decorated beautifully. There was so much room for our family, which included grandparents and a 1 year old. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the front porch and chatting with neighbors. The best part was the location. We walked along the lake, and went to the city beach and downtown. Our host Pam was very responsive to any questions. We'd definitely stay here again when coming to Clear Lake!

House location is wonderful. This is our second stay and will stay again. The best thing about location is you are a short walk to the city beach, downtown, or surf. Can walk to all. Owners communicate extremely well and are very accommodating.

We enjoyed our time together. We could walk around the neighborhood, enjoy sitting on the front patio to start our day relaxing and enjoying visiting with people out for a walk. Easy walk to the park and splash pad and downtown area for our grandchildren and it was so easy to get to our boat that we rented. Owners were awesome to communicate with and very prompt in answering our questions. Such an enjoyable weekend.

The size and location of this property worked well for a long weekend getaway for 6 adults and 3 kids. Extended family joined us on Saturday and there was plenty of seating available both inside and outside. The kids enjoyed swimming at the beach, and the adults liked being within walking distance of the cute downtown area. Great experience for all!
