A nice little hotel with great access to Stratford-upon-Avon's attractions.

This was a cheap room in centre of Stratford so you obviously get what you pay for as Stratford accommodation is not cheap. It was v basic clean accommodation in a very old pub - don’t expect anything more than that and was fine for one night.

Location is an easy walk from the station and close to the centre of town and its attractions.
No breakfast is available unless booked in advance. Room has a kettle.
Good size room. Comfortable bed.
Well heated with thermostatic radiator and heated towel rail.
Water pressure in shower good, hot water immediately available. Mould on shower ceiling and small patches of mould on grouting between tiles.
I stayed on a mid-September Saturday night and had requested a quiet room. Any sound insulation was ineffective with music, singing and shouting clearly heard from the bar below. Also noise from the corridor too. Single glazing means that any external noise is heard. The night I stayed the pub opposite had a live band that played until late and the last revellers were still talking in the street outside until 1am. Regular not blackout curtains. I’d stay here again but would bring good earplugs and an eye mask.

Charming pub right in the centre of Stratford Upon Avon. Easy to walk to all main attractions. Staff friendly and happy to assist me with my rather awkwardly sized bag. Bed comfortable, lovely hot shower. Would recommend.

Good sized single room in excellent location. Friendly staff. Exactly what was needed for a quick overnight stay.

There is very loud music playing till late hours of the night. Back area ( only way to access guest rooms) have other patrons who are smoking making the whole area unsafe for young children. None of the above is mentioned on the website for guests to make an informed decision. Not suitable for families with children at all.

The staff was super great. Understanding getting what I paid for, but the room left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness.

Lovely clean room, good size with a largish bathroom.

It was ridiculously noisy on a Saturday night. Loud music

Cosy room above a town centre pub offering accommodation handy for town centre and theatres.
Friendly staff - great choice of drinks!

Late arrival was no problem and we were able to store our luggage after check out to finish touring the town. Staff made sure someone helped us up the stairs with our luggage and were willing to provide all we needed. The only thing that was tricky was half our bed was lopsided, so my husband felt he was falling out of his side.

for location you cannot fault this Hotel. ideally situated for Stratford within easy walking distance of most sites including the church that holds Shakespear's Tomb.
the room was a bit basic but functional and clean. the bathroom is good size and you get some complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee. It would be handy to have the wifi details in the room and if you havent been to the area before maybe a pack of info.

The rooms are clean but very basic. Great budget option in Stratford, right in the center of the historic area.

The cushions in room smelled dirty & musty. Very dated. No food as apparently dont do food on a monday. Lovely staff though

Great location. Does the job for 1 night. Locals are chatty in pub.

Good accommodation, clean, well-presented, suitable for solo visitor or couple. Very close to town centre which was good for me as I have no transport and some mobility difficulties so cannot walk far without a rest. Only thing to bear in mind is it is quite a tight staircase up to the room. I managed ok though even though I do have some mobility issues. Good value for money.

The property is in the centre which is perfect to access the main streets. The staff were friendly when we arrived and helped us to our room offering help if needed. The room itself was not up to scratch and we were very disappointed. We booked a family room as it was all that was available. The advert said a queen bed and a double bed but when we entered the room it was a sofa bed which was really hard and two single beds pushed together. The towels were clean and the bedsheets were good too. The bathroom was not acceptable because the shower head was covered in mould and the taps for the shower too. The cubicle was full of mould and the water guards were mouldy too. The toilet roll holder was hanging off and the fan was covered in a thick layer of dust too. The room itself was very dusty and I kept my shoes on because the carpets didn't look clean either. The price was £104.50 which I don't believe was reflective of the quality we received in the room. When leaving we weren't asked how the room was or about our stay which made me feel like they are aware of these issues.

Very enjoyable stay. Great staff, pleasant rooms (our group had 2), didn't sample the food other than breakfast which was fine, though we did enjoy time spent in the bar and the outdoors area. Fairly easy to park outside for £1 but only for an hour, use the NCP car park which just round the corner £12 per 24 hours and you can easily get to the back entrance to the Queens Head no more than 100yds away at the end of the service road next to the car park entrance.

We paid £76 for a twin bedded small room, not bad for central Stratford. Mainly clean, bit dusty though. Loo seat broken, could have alerted the owners to the problem but was only there for one night. Bit noisy up till elevenish, but it’s a pub so normal.Owners very busy, didn’t have time for niceties, , fair enough. Comfy beds and nice bed linen, gorgeous fluffy towels. Probably won’t stay again because I have bad knees and there is a steep staircase, not their fault. Tons of tea, coffe, milk and sugar, didn’t have to ask for any more.

A great place to stay right in the center of Stratford upon Avon, the staff were very welcoming and accommodating,
My only comment would be is that the food which my companion thaught was great I found the fish I had over cooked, but I would definitely go there again.

Was asked to check out at 10am Sunday with knock on the door. I later checked and it was advertised as 11am check out. Very convenient location. Nice Italian restaurant over the road. NCP parking was £12 for 24 hours within 5 min walk.

We enjoyed the ambiance and the proximity to everything we wanted to do, see and enjoy. We understood it was old and were prepared for the wear and tear we found.

Queens Head is in the downtown area
Waking distance to downtown core and parks. 10 minutes to railway system. Its quaint.
The regulars at Queens Head are super friendly as well as Staff and Owners.

We didn’t realize that the rooms were over a very active pub so the music and noise continued well into the night. Thw next item is a positive and a negative aspect - the age of the building gives it a quaint ahd historic feel. However, it also highlights the flaws such as uneven stairs and floors. There was no hair dryer nor was there a waste bin in the bathroom. The shower was rudimentary at best. And one gets the feeling feom the proprietors that it's the pub first and the boarders second or third.

Very dissapointed, not appropriate if travelling with young children. Very loud music played late into the night (we stayed on fri). Room was not clean especially bathroom. Although advertised as family room this is not appropriate accomodation for young children. We decided to leave late that night rather than staying as could not get to sleep and was very uncomfortable. Very dissapointed as we cut trip short due to the noise and cleanliness of room.

Room was very narrow and not cleaned, whilst I was staying. No Table in room. Reception was not opened before 2-3 p.m. Internet password complicated, had to be taken down from back of the rooter on the landing.

Stay is good but no wifi connection available to the room. They said free wifi. No connectivity.
