We stayed the second year in a row for the workboat show. Love it.

The location and price were great. Easy walk to everything we wanted to do. Check in/out was very organized. However, there was evidence that this unit recently had a significant water leak in the closet where the hot water heater/washing machine was. The wood floors were water warped, and the entire unit had a VERY strong & overwhelming mold/mildew musty odor. Had we needed to be there more than 2 night I would have had health concerns.

Unfortunately this was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It was dusty, rusty and filled with ANTS. The ants were in the room right as we got there. And on top of that our bed broke in the middle of the night. Overall, I was extremely uncomfortable staying here and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We had a nice stay overall with our friend group. There were a couple issues that made it less than perfect. It seemed like the place hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival—the floors were dirty and we found trash under one bed. In the main living space with the kitchen and couch area, we saw small ants crawling on the floor. Also, we couldn’t control the amount of moisture in the air and for most of the stay the humidity registered above 80% on the thermostat.

Cleanliness is the main issue

Read much reviews on Google prior to our arrival, and we were worried about the cleanliness of the place. We chose this hotel because of the close proximity to the convention center. My feelings are mixed for this hotel. For convenience to the convention center, it is excellent. The rooms are big and great for team building opportunity. Love the kitchen, couch and space. Disadvantage is that rooms are just not very clean! It does not take much for the cleaning staff to step up and show their A game. Luckily, we did not have pest issue like other people had, but the floor is covered with dust, your foot will turn black if you walk barefoot. We had good customer service when we call for towel service. Over all, I would say that it’s an ok hotel, but they certainly have to step up their game!

Apartment was beautiful! Originally booked one across from the conference center due to the gym access and amazing proximity to the convention I attended. Was notified day of my arrival that the unit I rented was without air and I would be renting at unit 15 minutes further away. This made my stay far more challenging, I was allowed access to the original properties gym but would have to haul back to my rental to shower. Had lots of extra steps!

The place is real close to the convention center. It has all the amenities of a regular hotel but without the hassle of waiting for personale and staff. Everything is automate and I loved the card-less service. My only complaint is that the body wash was low in the bottle when I got there. Only enough for one shower and they didn’t refill it the first time I asked so I had to ask two day in a row. The roof top is a nice hangout spot. The first night I went up, the lights were turned off and the staff was gone for the day to turn them on. The second night I went the lights were on already. Overall, this is a four plus rating hotel.

Great for the price

The good: the property was minutes away from our pickleball menu. The room was nice and clean. The bad: Minimal staff on the property, everything is generally virtual/AI. When trying to get our microwave replaced, maintenance never showed up. We needed and asked for hand towels, no response. We left text messages, no or late responses. We paid a pretty good premium for our room and yet we were charged $120 to park! That really sucked. Our room was right outside of an overpass so noisy traffic. We should be comped at least 2 of the 4 days we stayed.

BE WARNED - this is a SUPER loud hotel. It’s located under a bypass so it’s like you’re sleeping in the Indy 500. Zooming, racing cars revving their engines through the night. They clearly know about this because they provide a sound machine but it was so loud it cut through the sound machine. I lived in NYC for 10 years and I’ve never experience noise like this. In addition, the pull out sofa was covered in dirt. The sheets had stains, the sink clogged with just running water when washing my face, the bed was sinking on one side. The hotel refused to take ownership for any of this. I feel like the hotel had a responsibility to disclose the noise factor from their location. I felt duped into booking this stay that appeared better than it was. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had.

The room was nice and modern, but my son was trapped in the elevator for over an hour. Customer service was not able to reach anyone, so I had to call 911 to help get him out safely.

False advertisement no pool on site and it was a rat in our first room no staff on duty shower floor nasty just not a good property

Very clean and comfortable. The only issue was in one unit the air didn’t work properly so it was muggy and we didn’t have enough towels for 6 people.

Very clean. Property was well kept. Super close to the convention center- less than 3 min. The only thing I would say is the outside doors to the overall building were not locked even though it says a code is required. There is also no attendant at the front or in the parking area like stated. Parking is expensive (90.00).

It’s a little echo-y but it was nice that the rooms came with white noise machines. Everything else was great!

I like the idea of minimal staffing but it was heavily disorganized. We arrived and the initial room we booked was already taken so after waiting for about an hour we finally got a different room which had limited towels - When we asked where can we get more towels, the lady on the phone told us that she will make a request and the earliest would be the next day. Super disorganized. Missing items (we had an ironing board but no iron). The pool mentioned was a 17min walk from the hotel.

Headboard of the bed was dirty. They didn’t care . Bed frame broke in the middle of the night luckily we didn’t have any severe injuries other than back soreness from a lopsided bed. Requested a new room or atleast getting a repair. Was told they were coming at a certain time and I came back to meet them . No show. Another 3 hours passed and they finally showed up and “attempted” to fix the bed frame with pieces of wood. (Bed frame was missing a metal bracket) . They told me the bed was fixed when I arrived back at the hotel it was poorly repaired looked rushed. And now the bed was floating on one side because of the brackets he made lifted one side of the bed higher.

the parking was confusing & very expensive! We were told by the hotel manager to park on the back wall it was free! but they had 2 guys in the parking lot charging folks to come in! it wasn’t a set price they were charging because we told them what we were willing to pay & the accepted! they were just sitting in chairs in the lot the whole weekend

This was the oddest and most vaguely described anticipated experience. I literally never even saw anyone at the front desk ever. No one responded to my texts from either of the phone numbers. The towels provided had so many holes in them that they were useless! We checked out early and got a different hotel. The strangest place on earth masquerading as a hotel when it’s a hostel!

There were only 2 remotes to the TVs one of the bedrooms TV didn’t have a remote. Both of the showers water were cold, the water never got hot. Also when we left we were putting the luggage in the car. We left a piece of luggage in the lobby trying to load the car but we thought we could get back in the lobby but we couldn’t and had to call the 24 hour customer service and we could not get through. It was terrible. And the other pool was too far.

This is one of those self service “unattended” hotels. Not even sure if it qualifies as a hotel. Our room was decent. They were recently renovated within the last few years. Our room was right on the street so it was fairly noisy both from street traffic and people entering. There is a rooftop area but it’s only a place used to go smoke weed. It’s convenient if you are attending a meeting at the convention center. It’s a 15 minute walk to Canal street. Several restaurants are close by.

I had a pleasant experience. The check-in process was a little tedious having to find a link inside a link inside a text message. The space was clean and well appointed and in a great location close to the event center and dining options. I will book here again.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The room was extremely nice and very clean. My one suggestion for fellow travelers is to bring extra face towels (which I do anyway) and maybe a blanket because most things are virtual so there is no housekeeping and it just makes things a lot more convenient. The full kitchen came in handy as well. Our check in and out process was very easily and well explained. We will definitely be booking there again!

The Lola has a great design, modern aesthetic, in a convenient downtown location. When you book it, you receive a link with easy to check in/out info, how to access the building, wifi password, etc. You use keypad codes so you really don't need to interact with anyone unlike a traditional hotel. I got a studio room that was spacious and well-designed with thoughtful features like a white noise machine, micro and fridge, open layout. The lobby, gym, and rooftop common spaces are well kept and the complimentary laundry is a nice bonus! Note when booking on Expedia - the Lola comes up as pet-friendly, which it is, but there is a $150 pet fee.

Property looks nice but is dirty. There’s no one on site to help you. We didn’t have brought enough towels. They literally only gave us 2 and we rented a 3 bedroom with 5 people!! two towels really?? The outlets didn’t work in the bathroom as well. Everything was surface level cleaned but they really need to deep clean. Things were dusty so much scuff on the walls. Overall it’s a great concept but I rather stay at a hotel where someone is there who can help give you TOWELS at least!!

Know what you’re getting into as this is an un-staffed, no frills property. Charming design and large room. But no table and chair to eat at or work from. There is a vending machine where you can buy toiletries and Narcan but now one to buy a soda or bag of chips. Wheelchair lift was broken so had to bump heavy luggage up and down stairs. Very noisy area under the freeway and loud people hanging outside. Not enough water pressure in the shower and not a good layout for more than one person since the bathroom was not walled off from the sleeping area.
Definitely will not be staying again.

Checking in was a little bit unnerving but the lady stayed on the line with me throughout the process so I felt a little bit better about it. I never could get the outside code to work.

The place was nicely decorated. But be aware, if you want to watch ANY tv you must have your own tv streaming loggin services. Also, th3 showere where I stayed had quite a large amount of dark green mold? growing on the tile joins all over and especially by the door. It was very convenient to the convention center. But also know that there is no way to check in early even if the room is cleaned and ready.

The window curtain was on the floor when I arrived. I asked that it be placed and the employee told me not to touch it once set. I didn’t, and the it fell off at around 3 am, making a loud noise and almost giving me a heart attack. There was a street lamp across the street that kept me wide awake. I requested at around 7 am that the curtain be fixed, again, and it was. No one ever came to clean my room, so I took out the garbage twice. I did appreciate having a trash room nearby. The bed was very low, so it was uncomfortable to sit to work (no desk available). The Wi-Fi was spotty late at night but I managed to get my work done. The vanity in the bathroom area was rusty. There’s a proper coffee machine but there was a dirty coffee mug from the previous client that housekeeping missed. The shower had a good stream of hot water within seconds- probably the best part about this facility.

I had a wonderful stay at the Roami. I thought it was quite clever to have concierge so easily accessible. The room was so cute and cozy. The interiors made the room feel moody and welcoming at the same time. I would definitely recommend and will be back.

Very clean, comfortable one bedroom apartment with a kitchen. The property is very close to the convention center. About a 15-20 minute walk to Canal Street. Easy check-in and check-out. There was no staff at the front desk (at least when I checked in... I didn't notice if there was anyone there after that) which was a little strange, but there was a phone number to call if anything was needed.

Question the parking

There is an app that lets you pay online with a card and license plate number and state of issue
2 Hr & 45 minutes max
May also have a day pass as well

I chose this location because of how close it is to the cruise terminal. It is literally right around the corner. Once we figured out the parking situation, everything else was a breeze. We stayed for 2 days on the third floor and we could see our car in the parking lot directly behind the building. I think it was about $30-$40 a day for parking in this lot. Street parking is hard to get and you definitely don't want to take a chance on getting a ticket or boot on your car. Our unit had 3 bedrooms and was very spacious for our family. We loved the decor, the apartment layout, and the ease of access to the building. There are smart TVs in the living room and in each one of the bedrooms. There are two really fancy looking bathrooms that make you want to take selfies all day. I loved the fact that they had extra towels and toiletries on the first floor near the elevators. If we needed anything, we could just grab it as we were heading back up to the room. I would definitely recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again.
