Staying here is always a stay alone. No phone, no help desk support, (sorry I am disabled fi I feel on my face I rather be able to call for help than scream until someone hears me. The system is - "give me money - take a key - walk a mile - leave - and thank us. so so so NOT modern

We stayed for two nights. First night, room next door kept blasting music so we had to sleep with our tv blasting to drown out the music. *Breakfast was slim and noticed people just taking hot food with their hands. Second night, we understood why there was noise and signs during breakfast, "no food outside breakfast area"..... Hotel is being used as HOUSING, instead of just as a hotel. *Pool area was closed, now we understand why. Stay elsewhere, this hotel is not worth a dime out of your pocket.

Terrible room walked in room there was a blower running on the floor for fresh paint on the ceiling paint peeled of bathroom wall the air conditioner didn't work properly the hair dryer didn't work only one towel and washcloth in the room that was booked for 2 people

The sheets were the only clean thing in the room. The floor was sticky, the toilet had fecal matter on the underside of it, the shower was stained with who knows what. One of the worst mattresses I've ever slept on, which is fine for the price. I don't expect luxury when I book an inexpensive room, but I do expect the room to be clean.

The room was run down. Definitely needs updating. Stains on bedding. There was no one around the front desk at check out time so there was a line.

We were 3 family and stayed there for one night. 1 of the rooms had dirty bed linen, towel and toilet bowl. Also it had strong smell of tobacco. My room was better, but also had smell of smoking. At night somebody loudly shout outside at 3:00 and 5:00.

When we were checking into the hotel, there were some shady-seeming cash deals happening behind the counter, and a couple of people in the lobby who appeared to be on drugs. There were people/kids running up and down the walkway in front of the rooms yelling all night long. The people in the adjoining room to our were having a fairly "athletic" evening, loudly, and we could hear all of it. The mattresses were comfortable enough, but the springs in them were squeaky. There was a brown stain on the sheets up next to the pillow on one of the two beds in our room. The pedestals that the beds are on seem to be held together with packing tape. The TV remote rattles. The shower/bathtub is heavily stained/worn. On the plus side, the towels were clean, although there were only two bath towels for a double queen room, which sleeps four.

It’s not the employees nor the older hotel, it’s the scumbag people who are choosing to live in the hotel, hang out outside, drugs, fights, ladies of the night. NOT a safe place to stay. Outdoor entrances to rooms. Otherwise the people working there are nice and trying but the gross disrespectful clientele have taken over

For an older outdoor motel style hotel it was in pretty good condition, rooms have been renovated had refrigerator and microwave, we got a room on 2nd level facing the courtyard which is a little nice but breakfast wasn't very good, had minimal choices but didn't expect a whole lot. Very reasonable rate for a major holiday weekend Labor Day doubt that I would stay there again though

I love the staff here and I love the breakfast in the morning and I love how it's convenient to the mall and other shopping places and places to eat

Property has such a beautiful area.. I enjoyed sitting outside and playing with kids. Price is great and would be perfect if rooms were more clean! Besides rooms cleanness I loved it.

room smelled like smoker's house

The bedside lamp was broken, there were crickets appearing in the bathroom, the light fixture in the bathroom was cracked open, the smell of the room was off a musty smell, the face of the A.C. Unit was falling off, and there were a lack of outlets.

Nice budget hotel! Modest breakfast, better than expected for price paid for hotel room. Friendly, helpful staff.

My sister and I booked this hotel last minute. I wish I read all the reviews. The bad reviews date back 3 years ago and based on our stay it appears non of the concerns were addressed. The staff were pleasant and the location was good but the room and property were terrible. The room and bathroom floor were covered in previous clients hair. The curtains had holes. Our sheets were stained. There were blue pills on the floor by the bed. It appears that there are people that live there long term and they were drinking outside. It was loud. The hotel website and photos are misleading.

This place is very rundown.

The room seemed clean enough, however the room we stayed in was a non-smoking room, but it stunk of smoke! There were people outside and next door that were very loud and pounding on walls. They at least quieted down after 11:00pm. Breakfast was ok. We would not stay here again.

Can’t or should not complain it was cheap. But it was dirty. The room floor was filthy cut and walk barefooted when I did the bottom of my feet were black. Behind the bath door and toilet or hair and dust The whole lights were off hard to see going up the stairs however, the attendant offered to walk me to the room for safety reasons

Do not stay here. Unsafe residents and location. Drug paraphernalia. Didn’t even get out of the car and found a different hotel. Requested a refund..still waiting to hear back from Expedia.

This property should not be listed on Hotels.com, my personal opinion. it is NEGATIVE many stars. it is UNSAFE. Prior to the booking I have checked the main website Wilkes Barre Inn and Suites, lovely pictures, promising "Luxuary Experience in your Holiday", seriously not a typo. Laxuary. Conveniently enough, there is a photo of different hotel used as a background of the main page. This motel is dirty, smoked up and unsafe. The door to the "non smoking" room did not close or lock. Man sitting outside the check in was catcalling me. I requested to speak with manager and was told to wait 20 min then again 20 min. I gave the roomkey back and book Fairfield by Marriot 3 min walk.

The photos do not represent the property. No smoking is advertised, however every room smells of cigarette smoke of marijuana. Patrons sit in the room entrance in chairs holding the door open and smoke, allowing the smoke to blow into the room. Tried several rooms. Bathroom had mold.

Room had cockroaches, people outside partying all hours of the night, people fighting in the room above us until 4am. Kids running around outside until around 3am with no parents to be found.
