The casino hotel is very clean, comfortable, and modern. It had two restaurants, a gift shop, and an express store. Parking was free. Unfortunately, the advertised hot tub was closed for the season because it is outdoors. Our room looked so new and the beds were very comfortable. We tried to order food from the restaurant to take back to our room, but they told us we had to come down and order at the bar. That was annoying so we decided to skip eating in the hotel. They also charge a ~$34 resort fee but we knew that going into it. Still paid a great price for a great hotel room in downtown Reno.

Needed better blankets was cold

Very clean rooms, but the shower was a terrible design. There is no way to turn on the shower and warm things up before you climb in. You are stuck getting doused with cold water. Other than that, it was a positive experience.

Great location near the highway,the hotel Itself Is modern and rooms are huge

This is the newest hotel in reno and it shows! Very nice, clean, and just the feel for the place is just so modern. Would highly recommend and plan on returning..

I really don't want to give 5 stars because I'd like J to stay secret. I'm afraid their prices will skyrocket once people figure out they have amazing accommodations and are extremely affordable.

Very nice hotel except the showers had only lukewarm water in the evening, hot water in tge morning.

I work often in Reno. The J is well priced, clean and comfortable. The restaurants are good.

The overhaul they did on the remodel is impressive

The property is a bit dated. Also at breakfast I ordered a tomato juice and got billed for a very expensive bloody mary. I was in a hurry so I just paid it. I would stay there again, people were very friendly, but it's definitely not a 5-star experience.

I enjoyed staying staying here with my kids. Good location, nice hotel and Security is always around. They also have a nice fitness center. I would stay here again!

The rooms looked brand new. Everything in the rooms were updated; The beds were comfortable, and the cleaning service was thorough. The room was quiet and it has a great view of the city

TV wasn’t working but tech eventually fixed it

Cool!! Came for band competition for kid, the reviews on Yelp were horrible. I was a bit hesitant to stay due to reviews. Figures we give it a try..Wow!! Clean rooms no bed bugs as some wound say we checked nada! Only thing was the little kitchenette sink was dirty we didn’t use it so off limits. The staff is super nice and friendly. Only hiccup was at restaurant the waiter with glasses was a douche. We probably won’t eat there again. Food was good but he didn’t nothing. Will stay again for sure

Great location. Figuring out the parking lot with valet and self-park was a bit tricky, but it all worked out.

It is a very nice place to stay

We had a water leak in our bathroom that took a while to get fixed. Everything else was very good.

The room and bed were very comfortable. The pillows were too firm for me. I didn't realize I didn't have a microwave until i got to the room. The room looked clean but there was trash in the trash bin left from the previous guest. That made me think they may not be being thorough when cleaning. The front desk staff didn't know general information about the restaurant or other venues in the hotel. Just small details that could be better. Overall, it is a nice hotel.

Very nice hotel with great casino floor and good restaurant options. Very kind staff and clean and wide open spaces. The room was nice with good views. Plenty of toiletries but thin blankets and only 2 pillows for each bed. Overall great option for Reno.

Very disappointed not with the resort Jay Resort is a really nice hotel great prices but hotels.com overcharged me charged me ahead of time for two different stays two of them will work on the same day and then wouldn't give me a refund I was at the desk and they screwed up the dates hotels.com and then when I went back on and put the actual dates they had already charged me for three different reservations

We decided to go to Reno for our honeymoon and picked the J Resort because of the ratings and price. We were definitely not disappointed. When we were checking in, Natalie, the girl at the desk, asked what our trip was for, so we told her, and I asked if there might be any chance we could get an upgrade. She politely said they were booked, but try this room out. If it's not to your liking let me know and I'll move you to another. We thanked her and headed to the room. When we got there and opened the door, it was a suite on the top floor! She was being coy and a pretty good actress at that. We had to head down and thank her personally and immediately. We had more luggage than we needed so we called the bell desk. Jesse was available right away and helped us get everything from the parking lot to the room upon check in and check out. He was personable and respectful and works his butt off. We only ate at Hannah's table, but the food was great, service was a well, and the prices were fair for what you get. We will definitely be making the J Resort our go to anytime we stay in Reno. Thank you guys for making an amazing time in our lives even better!

Everything was very pleasant, from the check-in service to housekeeping. We have no complaints, Crystal at the check-in desk was very friendly and answered of all our questions. She set us up with housekeeping during our stay and we got complementary wine and charcuterie bites for our first night's stay. Our fridge was not working and once we called the front desk maintance addressed the issue right away and made sure we were taken care off. Definitely will be back!

The stay was good. My only complain is that I paid for a deposit when I was there Sept 5, 204 which equals to one night stay and it is not Oct 30. I have not seen my deposit back. I have reached out to the hotel and nothing. Don’t stay here. There are other hotels in the area.

Great value

The first night was goo, but the air conditioner stopped working on second night they came and said the problem was with how the thermostat worked he got it to work but it shut off in 30 seconds and then restarted which to me I’d say there was a problem with the thermostat. But he said everything was okay it just how they work at times. Then about 3:00am I woke to the room being very hot it had changed from air to heat on its own it was up to 75 degrees and only way to stop the heat was to turn everything off. To say the lease it wrecked our sleep. When I told them at checkout they just shrugged it off and didn’t seem interested.

The room looked amazing. Bed was very comfortable. Pillows a bit to fluffy. The room was loud as in the ac unit was loud, the fridge was making loud noises, and other noises we couldn’t pinpoint in the room.

The hotel and everything was nice but the people in the room next door to me was extremely loud dam near alllll night arguing called the front desk it was room 689 I was in 691 which was a adjoining room it stopped for a while at 5 am woke up to it again

The room was beautiful and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable , which was very appreciated after a long drive. The only reason I dropped in a star is because the service wasn't great. The front desk didn't seem to be interested in customer service or looking me in the eye It was somewhat dismissive of simple requests. The phone in my room wasn't working, so I had to deal with them frequently and it wasn't the most pleasant experience.
