The only feedback I have is to provide a fan or something for guests. The tv blocked the window so it could barely open and it was so hot I didn’t even stay there one night.

Horrible stuff. Unfriendly stuff. Any bad location.

The room was out dated. Expensive for what we got. €130 was a bit much for the quality. Noise was unbelievable LOUD, no fan and it was very hot with winter like blankets. Breakfast seemed to be ok, we did not eat but it looked fine. The hotel receptionist (male) was not so friendly. His excuse for not having a fan was . The hotel is old. Would not stay again. It’s ok if u must have a place to stay one night. Close to the city 20 min walking and five from the Train station.

The room was too ting the bed was Very good. Hair dryer was not working. Water was flowing well through sweage while taking shower.

The hotel is close main train station with supermaret nearby. Nice environment. The toilet is designed to close coulle

Lovely hotel to stay in whilst visiting beautiful Bamberg. Tea/coffee making facilities in room would be an improvement.

An old style hotel in normal quality, and the bathroom setting is not user friendly. Housekeeper came too early in the morning, and there was no “Do not disturb” sign provided which causing much inconvenience to the guest. The best point for the hotel its location, it takes only 5 mins walk from the train station, and you could easily reach to the old town area within 20 mins.

The price was reasonable. Room was not so small and clean. The old city of bamberg is 10-15 min walk from the hotel. I think the location is good enough for backpackers. However room doesn’t have AC or fan. If you are going to stay at summer season, this hotel may not be a good choice.

mixed feeling On one hand good hotel for work related accommodation and very central. The staff was very strange: refuse card payment for lower than 30 euros. Come on we are soon in 2020, and use of cards is not a cheque. The outcome was either breakfast or not and seeing I would not go out and come after a withdrawal at an atm then agreed without further questioning. I asked for an iron and table as mentioned in the list of offered/available service at hotel, I was given an iron and told to iron without table on bed or whatever I found practical! It goes without saying of preparing for a meeting not ideal:-( Not coming back. Breakfast not really worth the cost.

Very good staff and recently refurbished hotel. Excellent value for money. Only 4 tram stops to the centre of Prague. Worth a stay.

Nice hotel close to the downtown area. The only negative for us was that the bathroom was essentially see through (with glass doors) and the drainage for the shower was not very good, so when you took a shower, the entire floor of the bathroom (including the area by the sink and toilet) got very wet.

I was staying just for one night to visit center of Bambark. Location is good. Hotel is not so confortable as some resorts for vacation.

Location was key to hotel selection. Had reserved small double room but this room was too small to be called a double.

Hotel National is conveniently located in downtown Bamberg. Easy walking distance to the charming old city. The hotel is older which means it has character and not quite as comfortable as a newer hotel. Overall good value for the money.

This is an old and not well maintained hotel with terrible decor. The bathroom had very ugly tiles and no shower curtains so the water splashed all over the bathroom and everything in it. The sink was clogged for most of the time despite complaints. Cleaning was poor. There was a stain on a table that wasn’t removed for 4 days and the bathroom cleaning was poor as well. No AC and no fridge and room was very hot and loud. They gave us a fan but it didn’t do much. The whole experience was poor with the room really ugly with old curtains and broken blinds and the bathroom with tiles from the 70s. Even the few food items they offered in the room (nuts, pretzels) were after the expiration date. Staff was excellent though!

i knew i had booked a small double room, but did not expect a cupboard! the room was about 18 bigger than the bed. stayed 5 nights, sheets not changed. think the bathroom was minimum clean as nothing seemed to have been moved, only towels changed.hanging area for clothes left about 15 to walk past.have seen bigger bathrooms

Very nice central town hotel, close to hauptbahnhof and about 15/20 minute walk from most sights in the city

Hotel is very convenient for the train station, and about a 20-minute walk from the Unesco-protected old town. I had a room with a single bed, which was not very comfortable, but the rest of the room, including an excellent shower, was fine.

Could not get a better place to stay... close to train station, night walk to old town. When I go back to Bamberg...I’m staying there. Lovely staff, beautiful old hotel!!!

Very good overall. - Missing hair dryer in our room - Shower drain somewhat clugged.

Front desk was unmanned when I arrived. Had to go looking through the hotel to find someone - the cleaner on the 2nd floor - and even then took the staff 5 minutes to get there.No soap was in the containers in the room.No tissues in the room, asked at the front desk, took an hour to get them to the room, the front desk was rude when asked for them - mainly because it distracted her from checking her e-mails.Forget about sleeping in if you want, rooms are extremely noisy and the hotel staff even noisier when they are in the corridors.

A basic, no frills hotel just 5 minutes walk from the train station. Its an easy 10-15 minute walk to the main attractions, but theres not much around the hotel itself. I cant help but think there are better value hotels for the price than this one.

Close to the center of Bamberg. Friendly staff and great breakfast. If you like the hotels in quaint urban setting, this is for you. For Americans, there is no air conditioning, but the rooms get a great cross breeze. Bamberg is less expensive than other cities in the area and the hotel is close to the buzz of food and breweries.

The rooms have no fans or air conditioning. Also, my room faced the back alley and was cutoff from any breeze. It was often hotter in the room than it was outside. I would definitely Utley stay here again. I would just ask for a different room and buy a small fan.
