It is a lovely hotel with great views and the staff are very good. But a 4* hotel should at least have a kettle in the room - this just seemed poor. We couldn’t get the aircon to work, but it wasn’t hot so not a big deal

Beautiful place

Pleasant hotel with amazing views over the lake. The hotel is a little dated in places but this is made up for by the amazing staff and great service.

The view over the lake from the hotel was lovely - nice to watch the boats bobbing while I ate breakfast. The staff were friendly and helped arrange a taxi to greet me at 5am after my night bus arrived and I paid for an early check-in at that time, which was most welcome. I had filtered hotels in hotels.com to only feature those which had a spa. This hotel came up as having one but does not, so that was a bit of a disappointment.

We have such a lovely time at the hotel, the staff was so helpful, Jose at the restaurant always greeting us with a big smile, Samuel help us to pet the baby alpaca what was the best part for our daugther, Vanessa in the front desk was always helpful, our room was always spotless thanks to Noemy. Beside all the helpful and lovely staff, the view of the garden with the lake is so peaceful. We wish to come back soon.

Our whole family loved this place. The room was spacious and the beds were super comfortable. The restaurant had a great free breakfast. The service was excellent throughout our stay. We enjoyed walking into town even though it was a bit of a trek. For those less inclined, a taxi ride was cheap. Views of Lake Titicaca were amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful property situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca on the outskirts of Puno, just a short distance from the new stadium and the University. There is boat access from the hotel pier and tour operators for Uros Islands and Taquille can pick you up from the hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and we found the staff to be most gracious and accommodating to guests with limited Spanish language ability. The alpacas grazing the grounds was an added bonus. Recommended.

Personnel were professional and friendly. Room was clean and with everything you need. Overall the hotel was pretty nice and with an excellent view.

This is a very comfortable and clean hotel and we enjoyed our three nights there. Their restaurant is also excellent, whether ordering lomo saltado, or pizza.

The shower drain was not working properly so the water in the tub took awhile to drain which meant you were standing in water while you showered. It looks like they are updating the hotel as a lot of the rooms on the first floor were under construction which is a good thing. Overall the hotel was very nice and the food in the hotel was really good. Free breakfast and we ate dinner there one night and we were pleasantly surprised.

Best to access via vehicle, although you can walk from the city of Puno but I don't suggest it. We had a beautiful room that was very clean with a large bathroom and our room had a view of the back of the property (which was very well maintained) including the lake. Staff were very friendly and professional. We arrived early and they stored our bags for us and delivered to the room. Highly recommend!

We got a free upgrade which was awesome! The only feedback we have is regarding the hot water which took a while.

Staff was kind, helpful, and considerate. Wonderful location and safe in an area where there is concern. The ad mentioned guinea pigs and llamas, but I was still stunned when we opened drapes in the morning and guinea pigs were running around - they were so fun to watch! The room and bed were very comfortable.

The property was located on the outskirts of the city of Puno, it was tranquil and relaxing. Service was excellent.

The Sonesta was beautiful! It was great to wake up with views of the lake, a cup of coffee in the restaurant, and sights of alpacas in the lawn. The customer service was great, the rooms nice, and the grounds were spectacular! I think you would have to be really picky to find issues with the hotel. There is no elevator, so make sure to request a first floor if mobility is an issue. We didn't eat at the restaurant as we wanted to try some places near the square (there is nothing within walking distance). But the front desk will call a cab for around 8 soles each way.

The property was really nice. The staff were extremely helpful in organizing activities for us. We originally had booked 3 nights and prepaid but only stayed for 2 as other than going to the floating islands and Taquile island it was too quiet for my liking. The food in the dining room was good.

The setting right on Lake Titicaca was amazing. So peaceful, so romantic. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was amazing. The area felt very safe. I would definitely come back again!
