Amenities were good. food for full board was really good and good variety. The rooms themselves were good but definitely could do with a modern refresh.

We read about bedbugs before we arrived, but hoped someone had just been unlucky. We didn't have much choice to be honest, everything within our budget was fully booked. As we entered the reception at the Canarife Palace we met guests who had been exposed to bedbugs. We tried to get a room at one of the hotel's two other buildings next to us, but they said everything was fully booked. So we went to sleep after searching through the sheets and moving the beds from the wall (that had holes in it - I think they live in there).
We talked to them the next day, but they insisted there were no bedbugs in our room. After two nights my wife was bitten and we discovered a bug on her pyjama. We found one on her jacket as well. We then went to the reception, and this time we were offered a room at another floor. And we had to freeze our clothes and everythong for at least 24 hours. We were offered a free drink. Terrible place. Terrible service.Don't go there!

I expect better food. I expect that all services are easy to get, i do not want to spend my holiday running from one desk to another as I had to do to get towels. I paid my deposited 20 euros but never got towels, they were always in the cleaners. I also expect to pay all the deposit one time. I do not run around with dimes in my bathing shorts when I´m in an all inclusive residence, so to get a drink I had to go to my room to get dimes which I do not have there either, cause I always use card. I expect the sunchairs to be in good condition. I also want to have a friendly encounter at the bars even though I do not drink alcohol. As it turned out I had to comply with coca-cola and such. Well, I wanted a nice alcoholfree drink, but that wasn`t included in "all inclusive". The best service was provided by the cleaning staff that always greeted us with a nice hello and did their jobs perfect.

We stayed for 3 nights to celebrate the New year, very few British mainly French and German so leftout with the activities due to no translation. New years eve was a let down again no atmosphere. Food was basic and cold, staff were wonderful and hotel clean.

Friendly staff, even though when we initially got to the hotel, they overbooked the hotel, and then had us stay a night at Blue Sea Costa Jardin, (which is at least 3km away) They said the "room wasnt ready" until after 3pm (suspiciously in line with a siesta)
Did the same thing when we arrived at Puerto Resort.
Overall the stay was nice, AC was terrible in the room, and basically was slightly better than sleeping outside.
Food was great though.

You get what you pay for.
We only stayed for 4 days and didn’t pay much thankfully. Hotel is clean but food was poor quality, lots of queuing for the bar. They allocate meal time slots but always chaotic and running out of plates/cups. Very limited food choice and very poor quality. We were all inclusive but only had the soft drinks/coffees at mealtimes. Coffee was like water and the options for outside were queues for a small bar and seating on flimsy plastic furniture. Loungers around the pool are all old, sagging so very uncomfortable Hotel is very outdated and needs some attention/refurbishment.
Location was good - on the Main Street so easy to walk around shops/bars.

The Blue Sea Resort consists of three hotels and as guest at the resort, you are allowed to use all facilities. I had booked all inclusive and the buffé were good, even if the variation could have been better.
Common places in the resort were in fine condition and kept clean, but the room did not live up to expected condition. The room had a very nice balcony, on the inside how ever it was worn down and the carpet was probably 30 years old and had ingrained dirt. In the bathroom it looked like mold in the ceiling.
It said in the presentation, that room cleaning was done everyday, but when I asked in the reception they told me it was every second day and during covid that seems to rare.
None of the pools are heated and the water was very cold.
Even though the hotel was not good, I had a great stay in Puerto de la Cruz and Tenerife, which is a very nice place!

The breakfast was excellent but house keeping and receptionist was terrible not changing towel and some time forgot to put towels also the bed sheets not changed also room was so hot although the Cooling on but useless also the receptionist not make afford to understand what you want and not helping and don’t know speaking English I never come back to them or not recommend to any one ?!?!

Be careful they own 3 hotels all next door to each other but when you get to the hotel they might tell you you’re staying else where! Took them over 1 hour to figure out where we were staying! The car parking was FULL so had to park on the street (the main reason I booked was for the car park) and the air conditioning didnt work!!

I WOULD NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN SIMPLY DUE ATTITUDE OF THE MANAGEMENT THEY REFUSEBTO FACE UP TO THE RESPONSABILITY OFBTHEIR ACTIONS AND TRY TO SKIRT OVER BY OFFERING A CHEAP BOTTLE OF THEIR HOUSE CHAMPAGNE AND OFFER OF A FREE SPA I CHECKED IN ON A TUESDAY AND REQUESTED AT THIS POINT A INVOICE FOR PAYMENT THEY HAD TAKEN ON MY CREDIT CARD I WAS ADVISED TO COME BACK TOMORROW YES CAME BACK NO INVOICE AFTER THREE REQUESTS I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND SPOKE TO THE ASSISTANT MANAGER WHO IN CONFERENCE ADVISED THAT THEY DID NOT TAKE MY MONEY BUT A THIRD PARTY MIDDLEMAN DID AND THEY WERE NOT RESPONSABLE HAVING CHECKED WITH HOTELS P.COM AND CREDIT CARD COMPANY I KNOW THIS NOT TO SO I CALKED THE POLICE AND POLICE ATTENDED THE PROPERTY WHERE STILL CONTINUED TO SAY IT WAS NOT THERE RESPONSABILTY FURTHER CALLS FOLLOWED TO HOTELS.COM AND I FINALLY SPOKE TO MANGERESS WHOM STILL CONTINUED THINK THIS IS EXCEPTABLE SITUATION I HAD CANCEL MY CREDIT CARD AND CALL THE POLICE THERE MANAGEMENT DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS OF MISTAKES STAFF ARE NOT TRAINED AND THINK THIS IS A EXCEPTABLE SITUATION I AM PRESENTLY WAITING COMPENSATION FROM BOTH HOTELS.COM AND HOTEL AS HAVE RUINED MY HOLIDAY PUT IN A STATE OF DEEP STRESS HOTEL DENIED MADE THE BOOKING AND THIRD PARTY TOOK PAYMENT CONCERNED ABOUT FRAUD I CONTACTED THE POLICE AND EVEN AFTER PRODUCING EVIDENCE STILL DENIED THE SITUATION DUE TO THIS I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AS MY EXPERIENCE

Level of knowledge and professionalism among them was not consistent. The knowledge that they were in a hospitality industry seemed to have been missed by some staff. Some rarely smiled and as a guest did not always feel welcome. There appears to be very low morale among the staff which management really needs to urgently look into. I highly commend the waitress, unfortunately cannot remember her name, in the restaurant at the hotel and wish there were more like her.
We do not plan to visit again.

This hotel is advertised as a 4 star hotel offering a range of spa treatments. This list details all the facilities that WERE NOT available and clearly have not been for some time.
No Spa, No Sauna, No Turkish bath, No Spa Therapists, No massages, No body treatments.
The whole hotel is very tired and in need of a total update, the rooms are old looking with views that are unacceptable. My single room looked out across a flat roof full of chimneys, the balcony received no sun at all therefore making the room cold. I asked for a room change, which was not given.
I found a cockroach in my bathroom and on another occasion a cockroach running around in the corridor outside my room. These were reported.
When reception staff were questioned about the lack of facilities they made out they did not know they were not working. It is clear from seeing these facilities that they have not been available to paying guests for months now. The hotel lobby has sofas for guests that any other person would have taken to a local recycling centre. They were old, dirty and falling apart. I booked this hotel based on it being 4 star and having the facilities they offered. I used Expedia to purchase this holiday. I put my trust in Expedia but they have let me down. So far they have offered me a £50 reduction upon the booking of another Expedia holiday!! Now why would i be booking another holiday with them when they have misled customers with this one?

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Entertainment was average, bar could be noisy. Good facilities and nice gardens for relaxing. Plenty of sun beds.

Overall hotel was good value for what you pay. It's very clean, big room with balcony . Tasty food with great selection, clean heated swimming pool , very nice people and great service.

We stayed at the Bonanza Palace for a week. For starters we arrived and we were sent around all 3 hotels before we could check in which was annoying. Staff were nice and friendly. Room very dated but clean, the worst part was the bed, which was literally that uncomfortable I had to take pain killers every morning for my aching joints, apart from that and the TV been something from the 1990s our towels were fresh everyday and bed made everyday. Food was very disappointing, cant say I had one nice meal, I survived on chips and pasta all week, puddings were more or less the same every night. Pool area was nice and clean and always enough sunbeds available. Entertainment staff were annoying one decided to splash me as I was getting into the pool which was not heated and freezing cold which I thought was rude and uncalled for. Good location and plenty to do outside of hotel. This hotel could of been a 4* 10 years plus ago, not anymore.

Only one issue, pillows are really small, but to be fair, i am sure they would have given me extra pillows, I just didn't ask as was not that bothered about it

On the hole a good hotel, the staff was very friendly, the room spacious and clean. The food was good the only fault was the cooked breakfast was cold. The night time entertainment in the hotel was so so! there is room for improvement. The location was good as there are a few shops and bars nearby. The pool area was good and there were plenty of sun beds.

Definitely not 4 star, but reasonable value. The "resort" is three hotels on the same road, with the main reception located at one of them. Facilities are fine, if uninspiring, food is plentiful and or decent quality, but a little repetitive. Nowhere near the beach, but a free shuttle is provided to the main coastal town. Would recommend, but know what you're getting.

The hotel is quite old on the rooms : old decoration and wardrobe, carpet on the floor. Before to arrive, i sent an email explaining i am allergic to dust and asked to have a perfect cleaning room. Nobody answered and when i arrived i had to ask to clean it again because of the dust on corners. The fridge was out of order and i had to ask twice to have a new one. However the good point was that the room was quiet and had a good view - luckily not on the noisy swimming pool area ( till 11pm at least). The breakfast was included and was quite disappointed : it seems to be only for english and german with a lot of sausages and beans. The bread was fresh though. I had to buy my own juice because the poor quality of it ( powder + water on a machine ). Some fresh fruits. We did not use the facilities they proposed ( swimming pool - spa - ... ) because we prefered to visit. Another bad point is the poor access to some facilities : we have to pay to use the safe on the room (!!) and for internet ( only free access next to the reception) I liked the situation of the hotel in the uplands : 20 min by foot to go to the sea via a lovely way - 5 min by foot to la paz where there are a lot of buses stop to travel everywhere in the island - 2min by foot to bar and restaurants ( not really spanish but better than nothing ) and tourists shops - Not my kind of place to stay all day but if you like to stay at the pool and tan, thats a good place.

I booked double bed but when i arrived there only single bed available. The TV very old and not work well and no remote control. The fridge was empty and the air conditioning not work. The shower no work properly was not in the right place for me to take shower bath falls down to hold I put some plastic there.

Was very disappointed initially - room was ridiculously small and bed was so loud - every little move squeaked like mad. Requested a room change and after being told there was nothing was moved to what seemed like a suite compared to the other.
TV is straight out of the 80's and with no remote and the bed clothes are cheap and nasty and only just fit the bed - they really need to spend on improving room items.
Food was good but always the same and the rude german tourists made it a nightmare pushing in every time I was trying to get food or coffee. Don't think the buffet/inclusive scene is the way to go really.
The grounds are nice but the pools are freezing - not sure I'd want to swim in them even in the summer. I'd be happy to pay a bit extra to have usable pools. Also whats the use of having lovely lawn everywhere that can't be used. Signs everywhere to stay off.

Condition of outdoor areas appalling...dead plants etc. Room big but hideous decor and the most uncomfortable bed We've ever tried to sleep on. Shower temp kept changing and got scorched several times. Air conditioning not working. Awful threadbare linen. No drink making facilities nor room service. No hot drinks in dining room. Food very good considering the price but dining room like a big canteen. Wifi charged for 25 euro and generally not available. A total rip off. Overall a really dreadful hotel!

Paid extra for wifi but it would not work in room. Asked to be moved to a room where it would work but told not possible as hotel was full. Wifi in lobby terrible slow and unreliable.
Complained about air conditioning and was told they only turn it on for 12 hours a day. Room was very hot at night. Had to open doors to balcony. Beds very uncomfortable. Would not stay here again.

The hotel can improve a lot by introducing basic services like a good animation team and a bit more interaction with the children (play games with them) . The rooms were cleaned ok but a couple of days were missed , rooms were a little dated as was the hotel .

This is a nice hotel in a great resort.,We stayed all inclusive and the meals wer very good with a good choice of drinks and entertainment. We had the option to use three different hotels adjacent to each other, all with good facilities. I would recommend it. One slight negative was that it was up a steep hill to walk back from the resort centre

We stayed here for a week in Oct. Our room was on the 6th floor with the most amazing views, courtesy bus to local town centre was a bonus, only complaint was we were half board and you could not buy snacks on the premises (think you could purchase drinks) overall great holiday would go back again

We have stayed here a couple of times, for the price I think its good value for the bed and breakfast option so I can't rate the all inclusive plus since we travel here often we know some of the best local restaurants all in the la paz district.
The hotel is spotless but not modern like other locations south on the island.
I saw families with children but think you could find somewhere more suitable for a few more euros.
The breakfast buffet was average and as we like decent coffee we walked up the road to Molinos for excellent proper coffee.
The rooms were spotless with older decor but personally this decor added to the experience because we like the charm and not looking for ultra modern.
The pool area is lovely and also an eye opener with the dress of some of the many German tourists. Also a notice asking customers not to reserve sun beds with towels .
The entertainers were excellent but very much for an older crowd , however for me it was perfect especially the very talented piano player named Luis.
Overall will return but would like better wifi the tv I can't rate but it was extra with free bbc 24 hour .

Had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel earlier this month (March 2010). Fairly last minute booking as wanting to catch some winter sun. No prior recommendation but information on website promoted hotel well and it matched everything described when actually there! Pool area and restaurant areas exceptionally clean, as was the hotel room, that had spectacular views of the pool, sea and Mount Teide! Stayed on an all inclusive basis which was well worth the money - very good food choice. Also made good use of the hotel bus service to the town - very useful if you would rather not walk up steep hills. Great holiday and would definitely recommend.

Although we only stayed for one night, this was a thoroughly enjoyable stay. My room was spacious and had a balcony with a sea view. The pool area was nice and the facilities were good. There was an excellent choice of food for the buffet breakfast, however the staff did seem to struggle to keep up with the demand for cups etc, maybe this was due to the hotel being quite busy.
