Food was below average

Room claustrophobic due to lack of window. Room nice and big though. Food in the “cafe” disappointing and not value for money. Linen napkin coved in white particles which covered my cloths. The layout of the tables for a party of 6 was poor - why use round tables rather than push 2 rectangle ones together

Very average stay. Bar staff didn't seem in the least bit interested in any level of service. Stayed here many times and its not what it used to be. Quite soul less

Place itself was nice. Room was clean with a nice view of the golf course from the balcony in my room. Good cleaning products to use in the shower with added dressing gowns to use if you wish. Down side was when we booked for evening meal. We noticed even though our order had been taken other guests were getting their food first. In the end took over an hour and we ended up getting the main course before the starters. Way too late for me to eat in the end but we had to make do. The manager on shift was very nice to us though. Breakfast was very nice so overall I would recommend anyone to stay there if you are that way.

I liked it here, had an atrium facing room which was okay but you overlook a bar/restaurant. Would book a normal room next time

I had been looking forward to staying at this hotel as attending a wedding nearby. I booked the restaurant to have dinner with friends and was very embarrassed to find there is no restaurant- it’s a pub/bistro/bar. Akin to a Harvester Pub. Atrium bedroom was ok size wise but bed was very hard. Window to atrium only had a roller blind that meant light came in on both sides. Lights were on in the atrium ALL night. Noise from large group of golfers carried into the bedroom until late. Breakfast average with no choice of eggs and same every day. Golfers were again noisy each morning and hung over and no respect for other guests (swearing etc). Overall a Travelodge would have been much better. This is NOT a 4* hotel.

Just go to the club house and have your meal and drinks on the terrace overlooking the golf course Amazing venue and amazing stay

Beautiful location and very well kept grounds and buildings. Staff at reception seemed attached to their chairs! Actual assistant help with our bags would have been appreciated. When ordering a coffee at the outside bar the waiter said he would leave it on the bar… offered me a tray to carry it then followed me outside where I found a table! Astonishing that he did not invite me to find a table and offer to carry it for me!😳It was not busy. Pool I arrived and found NO TOWELS available in the changing rooms. Put my things in a locker only to discover the key lock was broken, so I switched to another locket moving all my things…. This lockets key had no pin or elastic … Please please put POOL on appropriate door. Also EXIT or OUT to reception on other doors! I found the staff once again attached to their seats…. Unable to lead or show me what was what! I wanted a treatment in the spa… but fully booked. I had checked out of my room 228

Nice hotel with plenty of sports Plenty of car parking and very quite. You can eat in the restaurant or the club house . Nice gym that the residence can us . The only issue that we had was that the room only had a single twin socket .The TV was plugged into one outlet this left one outlet .So we struggled to charge devices and boil the kettle Also one day the shower gel ,biscuits and water was not replenished . A shame for a hotel of this quality

We stayed for 1 night and were very impressed with the high standard of the rooms in both cleanliness and space. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was great. We had lunch at the ClubHouse, which served excellent food and conveniently close on site just across the car park. The spa facilities and pool were excellent and well managed by friendly staff. The only trouble we had was that the lifts did not run from top to bottom of the hotel and we found we had to walk along floors to get to the next lift, which was a little confusing at the time and not good for mobility requirements. Overall we would definitely recommend a stay here though.

I paid at the welcome desk for 2 breakfasts for the sun and mon morning, both mornings i was told you havent paid for breakfast a simple thing but not put on the computer sadly. The room was clean and very nice. The bathroom was very dated. The breakfast was a real let down and not worth the money we paid, i was shocked how bad it was really dreadful. However the evening food was great and so well presented. The spa was fantastic everything was so nice there.

Lovely hotel, spa and pool area well equipped. rooms a bit small and a bit dated but had everything you needed. Only criticism is that the atrium rooms have no opening windows . On the second night of our stay there was a group in the lounge/bar area in the atrium who were loud and roudy until 2am and were vaping inside. Two calls to reception and the group continued to be rowdy.

Nice room but incredibly hot. Wifi was dreadful and tv wouldnt connect.

4 golfing ladies enjoying a night away with a round of golf the following day… hotel facilities were good although when we stay again we will go for rooms with a view outside… practice facilities were awesome and the course has certainly has had improvements made … Pro shop staff were so welcoming and the shop was a delight to walk around, we will return.., thank you Woodbury you certainly ticked all the boxes for us

Quite a pleasant hotel, good size rooms with all the necessities supplied, good views and comfortable beds. A good variety of food for breakfast, overall a good stay.

Great for our one night stay before flying from Exeter the next day. Had EV charging which was great and reasonably priced.

A beautiful and quiet setting. Clean and comfy bedroom. Loved the spa facilities.

Stayed here with family for an event the day after. Rooms were a lovely size, nice and big. The beds are super comfortable and really big. View was out into the golf course which was lovely. Had my window open all night and could hear owls out and about doing their thing. Yes it’s slightly tired around the edges but for the price I paid I’m not complaining. My only gripe was a slight rumbling noise every minute or so throughout the night. Not sure if it was a boiler? Food was lovely. We only stayed for dinner but it was nice, prices reasonable and service was great. I need to come down again a few times over the next few months so will be back!

we enjoyed our stay, we did not like having an internal room, we booked using Tesco Clubcard points and were unaware of this which meant no outside view and needing air conditioning, porridge and drinks were lovely, the avocado and poached eggs first time was very nice, second time of ordering - not so nice and quite disappointing, very clean room and all staff, cleaning staff included, were very friendly.

A lovely hotel and golf course. The staff were friendly and helpful. The spa and swimming pool complex were good but the floor in the ladies changing room needed cleaning.
