I stayed here a few years ago…sadly standards and condition has deteriorated - rooms now need a refresh. The window shutter is a good idea but the skirting board needs cutting away so that the shutter closes to the wall, rather than leaving a notable gap for light to flood in in the morning. The Buffet breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever had - scrambled eggs were set in the buffet container, sausages ‘looked’ raw, bacon covered in fatty residue. There was only ‘toasting’ bread available to accompany the continental meats/ cheeses - why no fresh rolls/ breads. Nb this was on several mornings! I understand the ‘cook to order’ menu is better - at an additional costs though. I was told most beds are zip link - which I found very uncomfortable with such a thin ineffective mattress topper! I left two requests for the management to call me to discuss, and resolve, my dissatisfaction but no one called!

Best Hotel in Southport by far. Great location and staff. The mattress was the only low point and has been last couple of stays. Worth replacing them and then nothing but good things to say.

Brilliant facilities in the town centre, tasty food in the restaurant, very attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Good staff

I wasn't very keen on the breakfast. Stayed here last year and thoroughly enjoyed the taste and quality of the breakfast. I like Rice Crispies but the hotel rice crispies had no taste whatsoever was like eating bits of cardboard. My wife asked the waitress if the what the sausages made of, the waitress went to check and returned to say they were pork. I tried them and both my wife and I decided that they could not be pork, they looked and tasted more like beef. We both left the rice cripsies and the sausages. We believe breakfast is a big part of any hotel stay and we couldnt eat it. It is my belief that maybe to cut costs the kitchen are buying in inferior products. The hotel itself is really nice but beware even if a room is advertised with a shower the showers are above small Japanese bath tubs and so anybody with less mobility issues may find it difficult to get into the bath to shower. My wife having had a recent injury could not raise her leg to step into the tub and so we had to move rooms but it turns all rooms bar 2 have the same tubs. Changing rooms to have a walk in shower meant downgrading our room type. In fairness to the hotel they quashed out 2 x night valet parking as compensation for the room downgrade. We were away with friends and felt let down having persuaded friend to stay there. We visit Southport every year but I won't be stopping at the hotel next year. I hate leaving poor reviews for any hotel something I rarely do but you have to be honest.

Restaurant fab

Lovely hotel and superb staff. Can’t fault it. Mega comfy beds, great deep baths and powerful showers. Really clean and well maintained.

Great location, modern hotel, rooms clean , beds very uncomfortable . Breakfast very good. Would not stay again only due to beds being very very soft and didn’t sleep well at all, which was real shame as lovely hotel. Did ask to move to another room but was told the beds are the same in all the rooms! Would recommend Resturant and have breakfast/dinner on future visit.

All the staff were very kind, helpful and friendly making our stay a great experience but I found the Vincent to be a bit tired and dated and the bath/shower in our room was not designed for people with poor mobility, we were staying for 4 days, on the first we used the bottled water in the fridge it was never replaced and the bed was not made up every day, just small things but we expected better.

An excellent and comfortable stay. Our only issue was the spa which wasn't open and very hit qnd miss.

Staff members were all extremely friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate and modern. The only downside for me and it was my fault for not saying, the bath tub was too high and deep for me as I have recently had two new hips.

Great hotel we ate in the restaurant nice tasty sushi. Quiet room and big comfy bed!

My favourite Hotel in Southport. Food choices are exceptional

Music blaring from a nearby pub until gone 11 o’clock and sound proofing was insufficient to keep the noise out, ruined a nice stay

I stayed in one of the basic rooms, which was really nice. Booking a view of Lord Street would be preferable though as i overlooked the back of a closed pub, but hey The Vincent can’t help who they back onto. Not an issue though. Massively comfortable bed. Staff are absolutely A1. Lovely and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Nice breakfast.

Unbelievably comfy beds and could have quite happily took the mattress home with me. Breakfast was yummy and the staff who worked there (on a Sunday) were all helpful and friendly. Only slight issue we had was a toilet that wasn’t fixed properly to the wall, felt like it would collapse at any minute! It was very unnerving! But would definitely stay at the hotel again 🙂

Extremely conveniently located on the main street in the centre of Southport. Beautifully appointed room with a real boutique feeling.

Restaurant staff in particular were friendly and helpful. Food was very good.

Myself and my wife attended a birthday party held in the cocktail bar. The service from all the staff was excellent. Our room was on the 5th floor and was a really nice room with a view looking towards Liverpool. The only negative thing about the room was the lighting, it was quite dark overall. My wife struggled to get ready as the mirror on the wall in the room was tinted so a combination of dark lighting & a dark mirror made it a challenge for her but it wasn’t the end of the world and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Friendly staff at check in & out. Comfy beds & great shower. Rooms are big & soundproofed so it was nice and quiet. The lighting in the room is a bit dim. You can’t see to put makeup on & do your hair. But that is the only tiny criticism. Overall fabulous!

I booked this hotel for my friend who is visiting me and prefer to stay in a hotel rather than in my house she stayed 6 nights and she’s happy

Would have liked to know that they didn't have a car park and we had to pay £20 per night for valet parking before booking. Advertised as having charging points - this is not true

I have my friend my room as I couldn’t make it an you refused him in an I’ve lost everything I come hear quite regularly an it’s just disappointed me

We always enjoy our stay at this lovely hotel.

Unfortunately when booking you are not aware only certain rooms have walk in, accessible showers. We weren't aware, neither did the hotel try to contact us and ask if we were OK to be moved to a smaller room. We weren't happy with the view of a back yard, smaller room so went to forgo the walk in shower and opt for the original choice. That room was somewhat disappointing. The room was big, for sure, but poorly appointed. The TV was tiny and far away from the bed. I struggled to even see what channels I'm clicking on. The bedside and the few ceiling spotlights are so eco friendly they barely cut through the dark making reading impossible. No extra lighting available, not even a desk light. May be just about OK in the summer, but when it's dark outside you can't even see what's in the suitcase let alone do hair or makeup. The tea /coffee facilities are basic, coffee machine, but only two pods, tea, but only standard type with 4tiny sachets of milk in the vast empty fridge. Water would have been nice. The room and bathroom were very clean, but show signs of tiredness, peeling paint, teared chair. Linen good and bed comfy. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Staff overall excellent, very pleasant every one of them

Loved our stay here. The hotel upgraded is as it was our wedding anniversary. The breakfast the next day was beautiful. The waitress and waiter who served us were amazing.
