We had a 2 night stay in the Hibernian for a special anniversary.
The room was amazing and the staff went out of their way to make it such a lovely occasion from the Prosecco with dinner to the desert,we were made to feel very special.
The staff make this wonderful hotel. We will be back

Spoilt for choice of hotels in this city but i picked this. there is no parking but a multi story over the road.
this is one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in for a long while. lovely room and comfy bed. the food in Ember restaurant was tasty and not badly priced. Everyone was very friendly and very good service.

For one reason I wouldn’t come back to this hotel - room is like a steam room, heating is running all the time. And for what ever reason staff can not turned it off. Couldn’t sleep all night.

Lovely hotel, very central, great breakfast and the bar is also lovely. Room a little too warm for me even with heating off and window open but that’s personal preference. Overall we had a really good stay and would come again.

Wonderful old but renovated hotel in downtown. Parking garage right across the street, and reasonable, like 12Euro for the night. Dining room and bar staff were wonderful. Food in Ember is first class.

This hotel is adjacent to everything: Kilkenny castle, shops, restaurants. We dined directly across the street at Left Bank for a superb meal. Afterwards we enjoyed the live Irish music provided in the bar area. The breakfast provided was quite good. The room was quite comfortable.

excellent location just round the corner from the castle and high street. While the hotel rooms are a bit tired looking and the bathroom is definitely due a refurb this was more than made up for with the excellent food and lively bar

Iverall the hotel is nice and unique. It isba classic, well maintained older room with some modern upgrades. My biggest complaint would be it was overly stuffy. Even with 3 fans and an open window it was not a comfortable temperature especially for sleeping even with outside air temps in the 50s and 60s (F). The bar and restaurant and staff were all great.

This Hotel was in a good location and pub was fun. However Room was very stuffy and staff was slamming the door during the night. Bed was very small did not sleep well there.

The room was too hot to make us sleep. There was no hot water from the shower and no hair dryer in the room. We complained with the staff, but received neither support nor refund.

Fabulous Hotel right in the city centre, close to all the shops and the Kilkenny castle and the Kilkenny design centre...
The room was nice, it was quite warm when we stayed but there was a ceiling fan and a floor fan in the room that kept us cool during the night...
Overall it was a pleasant experience

Don’t be mistaken this is a HOSTEL. the room we stayed in was dirty. The carpets were stained and discolored all over and the chair had a cigarette burned hole in the middle. Don’t pay high prices for a mediocre stay. The only thing good about this hotel is the location, very walkable. Otherwise be aware of what you are getting yourself into.

A central hotel with a multi storey car park close by which can be rented separately at economic cost 5 day pass $24(euros).
Busy restaurant which you need to book. Some rooms may be over the bar ours wasn’t. Room 328 is only bedroom with air conditioning.
Excellent breakfasts too.

Rooms slightly dated but kept well and clean. Perfect location and excellent staff. Breakfast was meh.

Very well located in the heart of Kilkenny, the hotel is ideal. The only drawback is parking, but there is a car park close by for about €15 a day. Our room was large, airy, well furnished and generally felt pleasingly luxurious. Breakfast was very good. All staff were very helpful and responsive to requests for additional items. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful elegant hotel, great location, nice free breakfast and a wonderful pub with great Irish musicians ! Corner room #120 is a stunning and huge room. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Great location! The beds were very comfortable. Staff was super friendly and customer service desk was polite and helpful. There is paid garage parking about 100 meters from the hotel. Hotel does not validate parking and it’s about 15€ per day.

Terrific staff. Great location. Great breakfast with hot and cold choices. Safe. Close to bus stop to get to Waterford or Cork. Short walk to the castle, restaurants and shopping. Really enjoyed our 4 day stay.
