For a solo budget traveller this was a good choice.
Early check in was available. Coffee etc downstairs. A lift too the room but only after going down steps ☹️

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. The room reeked of urine, and it was crawling with bugs—absolutely unacceptable conditions for any guest. From the second I opened the door, I knew this was not a place I could stay. Though they offered a different room, there’s simply no way to overlook such glaring issues with cleanliness and hygiene. Even worse, I was denied a refund despite canceling within five minutes of check-in. No amount of money could make up for the shockingly low standards here. For your own health, safety, and peace of mind, AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.

The filthiest room I have ever stayed in. Carpets are filthy, a mat covered the entrance to the toilet and underneath it was absolutely disgusting. Rat droppings found on the floor. The bathroom had clearly not been cleaned for i dont know how long. I had to go to Albert Heijn to buy detergent wipes and marigolds to clean so I could have a shower.
The owners should be ashamed to rent out this room and to allow a beautiful building to fall into such filth.
The receptionists were pleasant and thats the only positive for this place.

Fabulous location. At the end of the street is a canall, dining options and the area has a great vibe. Lots of streets to explore and close to the Dam Square for walking tours. Not far from Anne Frank's house and Centraal Station. A great hotel and location to start my trip in Holland. Mitti (I think thats right) on the,Reception desk was exceptional. After a 30 hour flight from Australia he was so helpful and welcoming. Thank you City View - a great stay.

It was a lovely quiet area but close to everything like central station shops and tourist attractions. The hotel was small but big enough for a what we needed and beds was very comfy and bedding was clean and the room was acceptable. Theres a small lift so u dnt have to walk all the stairs. And there was tea/coffee making facilities in the basement area for u to help ur self. And the reception desk staff was very helpful and polite. Thanks for the stay.

Scammed me out of a huge sum by refusing to correct a booking error on a "fully refundable" full-price reservation. First refused to deal with me on the phone, saying to go through Expedia. Then refused to talk to Expedia on the phone, saying they had to e-mail. Then didn't respond to Expedia's e-mail, refused to make a manager available to speak to either me or Expedia. Left me totally hosed with a reservation I couldn't use and couldn't cancel.

Amazing location! Staff was friendly and you're within walking distance to anything you want. Very close to Amsterdam Centraal Station and all public transit. Space is definitely tight, but it's worth it for the neighborhood.

The room and bathroom were way too small, also it was dirty. The floor was not vacuumed, spiderwebs from the window curtains. I will not recommend this hotel.

Reception/staff was excellent, location is perfect. Coffee and croissants in the morning was a distinct plus. Room/bedding could be cleaner(stains), and the floor had strange plastic-like carpeting. Bathroom was very tight.

A Very Nice Hotel Very Close to Amsterdam Central, Many Shopping and Eating Places Around, Reception Was Extraordinary Helpfull, Bekir Who Checked Us in With a Smiling Face Was Very Helpfull and Explained Every Thing We Needed. there is an Elevator in teh Hotel which is very rare in this type of small hotels, Coffee and Tea Available At the Basement, Also there is a Croissant Every Morning, All Free Of Charge. Rooms Are Medium in Size Not Small, Rooms and Hotel Are Very Clean, Will Definatly Stay Again

X1 night stay in Amsterdam with the location being ideal. Having requested and booked x2 rooms, only one of had a queen size bed with the other smaller room only having a 3/4 bed which as extremely inadequate.
