Although we checked in late but we were still able to manage to get the key and find our cabin. Shared bathroom was clean. I suggest that at least provide coffee cups in the cabin. The place was nice and quiet and Lake Ruataniwha was stunning! And it was easy to find good restaurants in the town.

Basics were good. Value was very good.

This was a lovely little place to stay before going to Mt. Cook. We met a large group of friends who travel there every year from Dunedin and Christchurch. Tons of fun and very respectful of noise.

I stayed in the motel room with a spa. The room was large and comfortable. There was a nice view to the lake. The kitchenette and bathroom were modern.

Beds were not comfortable.

The room was larger than expected and had plenty of room to spread out a little and get organized. The bed was comfortable but it was very difficult to access power for chargers and my husband’s c-pap machine. The wifi was awful. It barely worked and often the service dropped altogether. The hiking around the lake was lovely and a fairly easy walk. Even though we were attached to other units, our room was fairly quiet. I was not happy that there was a sign saying I had to clean the dishes or be charged an extra fee! For the amount we paid for the room, that was ridiculous. Also, if you want someone to do dishes, give them the proper tools to accomplish the task! There was only one small dish towel and no dish drainer or rack. There was a fairly nice playground for kids available, but we were traveling by ourselves.

I made errors in my booking. The staff went further than best effort to sort me out. They found me accom in difficult times.

Nice quiet location with a lake view.

It just seems a bit run down. Lots of people live there in their RVs and have there sites walled off by fencing so we felt a bit like we were trespassing on someone else's space. Besides that, everything was fine. We stayed in a small cabin and used the shared bathroom and kitchen. Beds were not very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Kitchen was crowded when we were there.

Toilet facilities a bit old or basic. Apart from that all good.

Relatively large room with a water jet bathtub. The one significant disappointment is that cellular service is very poor and the hotel charges for wi-fi.

The location of the cabin was amongst unused sited caravans- close to shower/wc / kitchens etc bedding and room clean - downside was the metal bunk beds which were a little squeaky when turning over- beautiful lake which in season would be a busy site.

Lovely location, excellent quiet spacious room

Very friendly staff and room was clean and tidy. Super close to the beautiful lake Ruataniwha, a shop on site and they even jump started our car with a flat battery!

Motel room was great for 1 night, lacking toilet paper and an outside light shone in through back door.

The hotel is situated around the lake which has a convenient access to the lake. The comfort house is very roomy and clean. The kitchen is complete with cooking equipments and utensils. Excellent mark for cleanliness, service is really good. Thank you Kristine! Highly recommended!

the room is too small

We just enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the place but we did upgrade to a motel and that made a big difference.

We stayed 2 nights but only had 24 hours of WiFi. The office was closed when I went to ask for the next 24 hours. I had work to do and could not do it. There should be a way to have WiFi for the entire stay.

Perfect for our 2 night stay. Very clean, comfy beads with beautiful views out to the lake.

Great place that was value for money

Cabin was warm and cosy, close to the toilets as well.
