Breakfast was great. Location is beautiful. It would be nice to have a shuttle to Atenas.

The location was amazing. The views were spectacular and the large window overlooking the mountains was fantastic. It was easy to get to places.

The food was a bit expensive, which made us not want to eat there. The restaurant looked really nice.

Rooms are comfortable and the property is charming. Restaurant service for dinner was excellent overall. Highly recommended. The waiter Martin gave excellent service, he made us feel at home and the food was flawless.

Breakfast service was extremely disappointing and the low point of our stay. Food was very basic and bland and the morning breakfast staff were not courteous or service oriented at all. When I asked for some condiments, they didn't acknowledge me and closed the kitchen door as to not be bothered. It is a shame to treat paying guests in this way. I don't recommend getting the breakfast during your stay.

The staff was great and very helpful. Chef Jacques was very friendly and welcoming.

the sheets had tears in them, there was only one chair and there needed to be a second bedside table for a lamp to read in the evening. Let's face it, the facility is simply worn out. the main reception lodge and the dining areas were ok but needed to be cosmeticized.

The location is amazingly beautiful

Things Americans are used to, like all the toiletries, were not as fancy as usual. Not an issue for us

The hotel is very dated. Our kitchen faucet fell off in my hand and it was obvious that it had been glued and taped on. The bugs were horrible, but the hotel did the right thing and moved us. Unfortunately, the next room's plumbing was dated as well and the bathroom faucet squirted water all over the bath if you accidentally turned it on too full.

Staff was friendly, restaurant had great traditional Costa Rican breakfast. Beautiful views & saw wild parrots and toucans!

Everything was great, some bugs but that's to be expected with the country location.

While the view was terrific, finding the hotel was very difficult.

If it weren't for local police giving us an escort, we would have never found the hotel. There were not enough signs on the road that were easy to read at night.

Big room with nice view.

The whole room seemed a bit out of date. We found hairs under our pillow and the floor was dirty (with dust, hair and dead/alive insects). There were also many mosquitos, ants and worms entering the room all night. We also found a dead insect in our clean towel. I would expect way better condition for its price.

The view is amazing!! Big rooms great roof top balcony. The restaurant is also with great view night and day.

Incredible location with stunning views. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, privacy, lovely staff at the hotel and restaurant. We liked it so much that We came back and We would recommend it to anybody visiting the country and looking for the perfect retreat.

The location is stunning. A roof top terrace to our individual cabin where we sat and watched the sunset. We visited because we had booked a coffee tour nearby

The picture on booking.com makes the property look a lot smarter than it is. We had two outdoor metal chairs in our room and not the chaise that was shown. There was a fridge which was a bonus as it was really hot so good to cool drinks but the outside cabinet door was missing and generally the place is looking tired. We were told the chef had a night off so we chose from a reduced menu. As the hotel is at the top of a steep hill and we were only staying for one night we didn’t want to drive back into Atenas for dinner and breakfast The food was ok but nothing more. We swam in the small pool and were given towels. The the views are amazing a shame it’s a little neglected. This however is reflected in the price. If your looking for a short stay at reasonable prices with an amazing view.
