Situated on a residential main road, it was surprisingly quiet. The room smelled lovely and it was clean, modern and very comfortable. The room contained everything you'd expect: a large, flat screen telly; a mini fridge; a little awkward wardrobe that looked good but was a little tricky to access; a choice of teas and a choice of coffees. I think you could have accessed the beer garden but I didn't venture out there to try. There was a free car park around the back which was full when I arrived but there was plenty of parking available on the side street. It's just a set of rooms without a reception, although you rang a number and you were greeted and shown around your room. I am happy to recommend it if you want room only.

Like many Travelodges, it's not a B&B and they don't provide a breakfast option but I believe they may have offered a continental breakfast at one point, although there is a pub six minutes walk away. I'm trying to think what else I didn't like but I'm stumped. I've read negative reviews of the place but, honestly, I think some people just look for something to complain about and I'm not quite sure what they're expecting.

Amazing room … great touch by the host to leave beer and soft drinks in the fridge as well as some snacks …

It was convenient.

Didn't have what was advertised. No bar, it was permanently closed. My room was advertised as having a fridge, bathrobe, toiletries.It did not, walls need fresh lick of paint. The strip light in the bathroom was flashing all day and night. There was a bed frame in the corridor outside my room when I arrived. It was still there when I left two days later. Bulb had gone out in the main bedroom.

Comfy bed. Hot shower

Nowhere to park. Really strong smell of curry.

Location was exactly where I needed.

Duvet was far too thick for the summer.
