The inn is way too far from the town center forcing you to either have a rental car or walk 40 minutes from the center to get to your hotel. The hotel is just not a practical option if you want to be immersed in El Calafate. The walk is also very dark and a bit rural, making me nervous to walk at night so far out from the town square. Also didn't appreciate that each room did not have its own conditioning/heater system. Our room was way too hot and was not able to be changed to our liking.

I like this hotel because it has a beautiful lake view. Friendly and helpful staffs, nice location. If you want to go to central downtown for shopping or eating, you have to take a taxi.

One thing that we were very disappointed about was that the hostel claimed it had WiFi but we never got it to work the entire time we stayed (3 nights). Also, I’m not sure if the people of Argentina are not big on breakfast but you may want to plan on getting breakfast elsewhere as the “breakfast” they offer is subpar at best.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is a little out of the way but we knew that and enjoyed the view and the serenity. The staff were pleasant and very helpful with food allergies. The wifi was intermittent but when asked the staff seemed to be able to fix it. We really recommend the restaurant Mirabelle opposite the entry to the nature reserve.
