Room was lovely; spacious and clean. The hotel decor is a little dated, but well maintained and stylish. Very conveniently located in Windsor, close to castle, shops and restaurants.
Check-in took some time because my booking was not on the hotel's system.

Everything about this hotel is bad would advise no one to book here. Unclean , bad customer service , shocking and hotels.com are no better

I booked a twin room but was given a double room. So I told the staff at the reception desk and Haroon immediately sent a female staff to check a clean twin room in exchange for the wrongly assigned double room. So the fault was rectified instantly and the room was very clean too. A lady staff, Ash, was very helpful and informed me that if I needed extra things (like sachets of coffee and tea, body gel, etc) I could let her know and she would attend to me right away. The TV wasn't working at first, so she contacted a technician to sort out the matter for me. Ash is diligent, attentive to details, and her customer service was excellent!

Myself and wife felt let down with this booking considering what we paid for the room, the room it’s self was spacious however cleanliness could do with being improved, the decoration was tired, the room key didn’t work, we could only use one channel on the television so robot wars it was ( remote control was broken and no buttons on the tv ) considering the hotel is viewed as 4 star I was expecting more than what was offered

Booked 2 rooms, 1 was missing the TV and the other reeked of smoke so that was a bad start. Allocated upgraded room. Still far from luxury,bath stained and hair in it and plug faulty so didn't hold water. Not warm, someone's plaster stuck to floor. WiFi wasn't great on 3rd floor

Pleasant and helpful staff. Fantastic castle view from my room. Perhaps a bit shabby chic, but very clean. I am delighted that I chose this historic spot

Unfortunately 1 night only stay did not go as planned. Booking made for luxury room with castle view for 2 adults and 2 children, due to overbooking we got double room with courtyard view. Not acceptable as it was 4 of us. After complaint made, room was changed for bigger one to accommodate 1 single bed. Although we had been promised refund, no one came back to us with any answer. Despite number of messages sent. This is not something you want to deal with if you are staying for 1 night only. I am really disappointed with customer service level.

A quirky hotel. It’s not a modern chain so you get exactly what you’d expect. A little run down and shabby, but clean room/bathroom and comfy bed.
It’s right opposite Windsor Castle so you couldn’t ask for a better location. Conveniently located for restaurants, cafes and pubs, although there are no catering facilities in the hotel.

Truly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Sadly, having booked Castle View Luxury Rooms that are shown in the picture gallery on this site - reality was shoved to back rooms of very poor quality and filthy condition, changed room 3 times and frankly all appalling. Noise and smells from restaurant nearby and the absolute pleasure of no hot water at 0720 for shower - all in all would avoid at all costs - location however is perfect for visiting the castle etc and really near the rail station - truly disappointing !

Staff was great. The location is 5 stars. Rooms are outdated and difficult to go in and out the tub. I would stay here again.

My parents who are in their 70’s stayed here. They said the staff were very helpful. The room looked amazing with an antique four poster bed. There were period features everywhere. The windows opened up fully to a view of the castle. Absolutely stunning. It is a bit dated but it’s an historic building. It was clean and tidy. The hotel cost was very reasonable compared to everywhere else in Windsor. It’s in the best location. They will be back.

A very historic-feeling hotel directly across from Windsor Castle. Surrounding area is a nice area with shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Historic property with beautiful architecture, directly across the street from Windsor Castle. Maybe some areas would benefit from a refresh, but if they did, then the price would skyrocket. If you can see past the worn carpet in the stairwells, then this is a fabulous place to stay.
Staff were awesome.
We would definitely stay here again if we are in Windsor.
