I like the location and the staff was nice.

There was a strike going on. I had to cross a picket line and being a former union worker, not thrilled about that. No one called or emailed me to tell me that beforehand. Also, there were no suggestions to overcome the lack of services, food and extremely annoying noise. For instance: free breakfast or gift card to local restaurant; area to get your own towels since they were not replaced when taken; free white noise on You Tube?

The location is great. Close to the train and union sqaure.

Prior to my stay there was an issue with my booking. Which was resolved eventually. But when I called the hotel about it they were so short and rude with me. The room that you see in the photos on booking is so different from what I got. The room was fine. I was just shocked at how different it was.

Great location looking onto Union Square, had a junior suite which was very large, had a great view on the 9th floor onto the square. Nice little bar to chill in the evening. Plenty of lifts and no long waits like other hotels we stayed at.

Baliepersoneel niet aardig/ gastvrij, conciërge wel. Belachelijke prijzen voor ontbijt. Je wordt genept met een kortingsbon op bijv ontbijt, waarvoor je zelf als onderdeel van alle kosten al hebt betaald en waar je niet veel mee kan. Ook krijg je “ gratis” 2 waterflessen, maar ook daarvoor heb je dus ook al zelf betaald. Kortingsbonnen bijv voor maar 2 personen terwijl wij met zn 4-en zijn. Opletten op kosten dus.

Location is excellent & daily room service for new towels & remade beds is nice, hotel is clean. Decent coffee -double the espresso. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Hotel provides 2 tickets for the trolley, wine flight, bikes, & free drinking canteens, but this is to make up for the daily service charge. Enjoyed the historic journey of the St. Francis hotel through images, artifacts, and the mini museum, but it leaves one wondering where are these grand rooms, dining, and bars now?

Expected the quality of service, environment, and comfort to be comparable to that of The USS Grant Hotel in San Diego, but definitely not. For two people-need queen not full size beds. Need comfortable beds & chairs as well as turn downs, robes, slippers, etc. Ridiculously overpriced- $40 breakfast per person for eggs, bacon, & pastry. Sadly, it seems the prestige of the St. Francis is in the past. The Westin lacks the historical preservation architecturally and is currently under remodel. The grand lobby was not accessible and is being turned into a bar.

My Suite was amazing! My grandson suite had problems with the toilet that wasn’t fixed. He called and they came up once, but still didn’t flush properly. I told them when I was checking out, but they didn’t offer any discounts. They should’ve offered something.

Toilet in suite. They should tell you about all the extra fees when you order room service. They got me one morning, but I went downstairs and picked up my food at a reasonable price.

Rooms are beautiful. Beds very comfortable; loved the pillows. Our city/Union Square view was fantastic! Location on Union Square was perfect. Close to everything including BART, which was very convenient. Being Bonvoy members, we were given two very cool water bottles, two cable car tickets, a free wine coupon at the wine bar at Macys. A great stay! Will definitely be back.

Buffet breakfast was very expensive; $40.00, so we skipped that. Had a few drinks at the bar; $34.00 for a Lemon Drop and one beer. Seemed a bit high to us.

Location was great near Union Square, shopping, theatres, Modern Art gallery, lots of restaurants etc. The staff were very helpful, particularly the valet parking, luggage and concierge. Nostalgic and a fabulous view from our room plus super elevator ride in the new tower.

Renovations were going on at the time which we did not know about until we arrived so some facilities closed. The lobby was freezing! One needed over coats to just stand in line at the reception desk or order from the self serve cafeteria, which was not my fave place.

Um dos melhores hotéis que eu já conheci. Desde o momento que entrei no valet pra estacionar o carro, já fui muito bem atendido por um funcionário muito simpático e cordial. Na recepção idem, este último, além de educado, se mostrou interessado em atender nossas expectativas, além do nos presentear com 2 garrafas de água, que eram muito bonitas e ficaram de souvenir de SF, as quais uso diariamente em minha cidade, além de 2 passes de bondinho, drink de cortesia no bar do hotel, que também me atenderam exemplarmente, e ainda um aluguel de bike, que não consegui usar pois estava chovendo nos dias que estive lá. Gostaria de lembrar os nomes dos funcionários do estacionamento, da recepção e do bar, pra poderem ser reconhecidos. Isso tudo sem falar de toda a estrutura do hotel, que é excelente e muito bem localizado. Se puder retornar a SF um dia, voltarei a me hospedar, sem nem pesquisar outros lugares.

Não tenho nada pra falar. Talvez o preço do estacionamento, perto de 80 dólares por dia, por ser um SUV grande. O valor estava acima do que eu esperava e gostaria, mas isso é algo que não pode ser considerado falha do hotel. Estacionamentos estão caros na cidade inteira.

Beautiful property in the heart of San Francisco’s Union Square. Very close to the cable car, bus, trolley and BART. Bed was amazingly comfortable and our room overlooked Union Square yet it was very quiet.

The hotel was wonderful and the staff was friendly. However, I was charged twice so I had to deal with that one morning when you don't really want to handle that on a vacation. The first lady I spoke to said I wasn't charged twice but when I showed her my credit card statement she got her manager and then something was actually done about it. Added some stress to my stay.

I didn’t like the constant smell of cannabis (not inside the hotel) near the entrance to the hotel or in the streets. I know this is nothing to do with the hotel.
