The size of this home was perfect for the people that we had. The home was wonderfully equipped with all the things we needed. The high end finishes in the main floor make this home look and feel like we were in Beverly Hills.

Upon arrival, no shovelling had been done. Everything was complete ice. Trying to pull in the vehicles was tricky. We had to clear a path and the steps before we could even go in. Just safety wise, glad no one fell. With all the beautiful finishes on the main floor, it would seem like momentum was lost when they got to the second floor. The bedrooms are very plain and seem to be out of place with the rest of the home. There were open vents in the walls where the covers were not replaced. The staircase was missing what I would assume to be a fabulous chandelier, but only the wires hung. Although these things are minor and just cosmetic, our stay was great and served the purpose. We would stay here again!

We used the house for a staff retreat. The house was perfect for this purpose. With 4 bedrooms upstairs, each with an ensuite bathroom, our out-of-town staff were very comfortable. There were beds in the basement as well, but we didn't need them. The space available on the main floor was very spacious and comfortable and allowed plenty of space for our buffet-style meals and options of places for discussions, breakout sessions, etc. Absolutely ideal. The kitchen is also very well stocked with an extensive variety of things. Just short on place settings of dishes and cutlery.

Two things...The couches and chairs were mostly broken in some way. With a few repairs to the supports, these problems would be easily fixable. Surprising that this hasn't been done since many reviews have commented on this and to be honest, these comments almost caused us to not book the place. But it wasn't a big deal at all, just good for a laugh more than anything. The one very disappointing thing was that I asked the host in advance about specific things that we needed in the kitchen, like how many place settings of dishes and cutlery there were (we were a group of 11), whether there was a frypan, strainer, microwave (not shown in their pictures), cutting board, coffee maker, etc. I didn't hear back so sent a reminder request for the information. It took the host almost a day to reply after my second request and the reply was "our kitchen is equipped with basic booking needs". So given that we had no information to go on, and our stay was now in a matter of hours, we had to bring everything we needed just in case. This was a huge effort and it turned out we didn't need any of it. The place is very well stocked with all kinds of kitchenware. I can't think of anything that wasn't there. It was all stored randomly in various cupboards and drawers but there were likely 6 frypans, several pots, a rolling pin, muffin tins, cookie sheets, all kinds of cooking utensils, even random things like egg cups and expresso cups. Very disorganized, but very well stocked. The disappointing part was that the host simply didn't make the effort to tell us what was there thereby causing us a lot of extra work and transporting of items (not a microwave of course!) There were only 7 dinner plates and maybe 7 smaller bread and butter plates. That is another thing that is very odd. Many people have commented on the lack of plates.

Very dirty, charges extra for early check in to hire clean staff. Arrive dirty and people sitting in the house. Found food in plates in room dried up, no cleaning product for washing (cloths). No propane tank in bbq, discussing carpet in basement. Broken shower doors.

It is more spacious than the description, a beautiful house and a comfortable place to stay. The location is great. It is very close to the center and easy to find. The host is friendly and helpful. Would recommend it!

The automatic transaction system had many bugs, but the host was so patient and nice and she tried her best to assist us. Hope they switch to a better system!

The basement smelled a little musty !!

It is a big house, perfect for receiving guests and prepare food and hang around, while maintaining everybody's privacy. There certainly is a lot of space! Close to the metro-station and other public transport.

This place needs some tender love and care! There were lots of broken items (a shabby lazyboy-chair in the living room, the dishwasher's lower compartiment rollers were off rail, the downstairs toilet would keep on flushing,...) Also the cleaning crew did not do a good job (filthy pans in the cupboard, coffeemaker with old coffee-grinds, showers with moldy floors...) And how do you expect a party of 8 to function with only a few spoons, only 3 chairs outside, only a few old pots and pans?? There is personal stuff throughout the house (shoes, prescription medicine, letters...) which made a very unprofessional impression. The decoration might not be to everybody's taste, but a lot can be done if the house would be sparkling clean and cleared out of personal items. Because it is a lovely house, after all.
