The owner was a very nice and helpful person. She provided us with very detail information about the cottage and neighborhood, recommended cheap shopping malls. It was a surprise to receive a gift waiting for us in a cottage - beach bag. There were also surfboards in the cottage which my kids could use what was a very important benefit for us. Excellent wi fi. Very good place to work remotely. Everything is very close (beach, stores, restaurants).

There were additional paperwork to be done before receiving an entrance code to the cottage what was a problem for us when we were traveling across Florida and having challenges with wi fi and problems with making scan of documents. A guarantee fee in case of any damages is also very high. The time to get it back was mentioned as up to 10 days what is not a default situation on a short-term rent market.

there is nothing about the place I didn’t like

it was quaint & quite. Very clean. Loved being able to breakfast on the lovely screened porch and the courtyard Christmas lights were the perfect touch. The on-site laundry facilities were just a few steps away. The area felt safe and close to shops and eateries. We walked to several places after dark without concern.

We had no issues. The property was very well kept and well lit at night. The “cottage enclave” atmosphere was just what we needed.

Very well maintained and clean property. Host was very informative and the property met all of our expectations.

Door lock was a little clunky, so it took a few tries to get it to work but it was hardly an issue.

Very comfortable. Lots of personal touches and thought put into making this an excellent beach vacation. Toys, Beach Chairs and even a cooler for our use! Elaine was great! Gave us lots of helpful information. And the place was really clean. We would definitely recommend and be back!!!

We have a wheelchair so the little rocks in the parking area were not ideal. But we managed OK.

Cottages by Ocean is a very nice place in Pompano Beach, very close to the beach (only 2 blocks away). The cottage we-ve stayed was a very nice and cozy place; a fully furnished kitchen; a very comfortable queen size bed, and a very spacious livingroom. And of course a very nice patio where you can have dinner outside. But really the most important thing is the permanent attention that you receive form the owner of the place, Elaine Fitzgerald, that is on top of every single detail and ready to solve any problem that you might have. Thanks Elaine for all your help during our stay!!

Very comfortable and cozy. The beach access is literally a 2min walk, the entrance was very welcoming and front porch made it seem like I was at home. Elaine was very informational and courteous. She gave us many tips all provided on a “cheat sheet” curated for the surrounding areas. The property was kept in great condition and super clean. Overall an exceptional experience and would recommend people to check out this little gem in Pompano.

The ambiance of the cottage was great, very well appointed room. Nicely decorated and it had all you need and want! Peaceful neighborhood and quick access to ocean and restaurants. Close to major roads but still located in a quiet and cozy area.

I liked everything

Elaine, the owner, met us at the beginning of our stay and took our temperatures--very impressed that she was ensuring our safety and the safety of others! Accomodations were clean (with the exception of some of the dishes in the kitchen), no insects/pests, air conditioning worked very well, and the area is surrounded by trees which provided lovely shade. The maintenance man, Jaimie, was very cordial and helpful. Bed was comfortable. We will stay there again.

I wish we could have left the dirty dishes in the sink. I also would have made sure that all dishes in the cabinets were clean before the next guests arrive. It would be helpful to have a recycling bin in the room.

This was perfect for families, and close to everything. Safe, spacious, clean, and the owner and staff are very attentive. The screened-in porch was my favorite. A great place for little ones.

Nothing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Any issues were minor and quickly addressed by staff. Our older family members stayed in another cottage and everything was very accessible.
