Everything was under construction, the Holiday Inn and the other buildings nearby. I don't remember anything about that when making reservations.

Price was high

They had a really good breakfast bar with a wide variety of selections. There was also a very nice lady who was working in that area who assisted us with finding some Earl Grey tea and kept all of the table clean and tidy. Of everyone we interacted with on the property, she was the nicest and the most professional.

After confirming by email that our request for a ground floor room would be honored, we arrived to find no one at the desk to help us. Finally a young woman appeared and she was incredibly rude and hostile when we asked about our ground floor room. When I presented her with my confirmation email to say that it would be available, she called her manager who invited us to leave, rather than make any reasonable accomodation. She went to great lengths to explain TWICE how they are not obligated to honor any "third party bookings" because the communication is usually very poor. It was clear from her demeanor that she has a problem dealing with people whose skin tone doesn't match her own and we were treated with complete disrespect. Will never stay at this property or any Holiday Inn Express ever again. The nice breakfast does not make up for the rude behavior.

Curtain in bedroom was hanging without fasteners. carpet needed cleaning. no creature comforts. very disappointing.

Location and cleanliness.

The carpets were stained and dirty the windows were filthy dirty handprint all over the elevator. The couch was stained and dirty. Couldn’t wait for the morning to come so we could leave. The house keeping staff did their best but there needs to be a deep cleaning .
