We stayed here for the first time on our way to Missouri from Arizona and enjoyed it so much we stayed again on our way back. The breakfast that was provided was pretty good with lots of options. Both my teenage boys and I enjoyed it. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious. And when we checked it they gave us some delicious cookies! We also got a discounted price which was really nice! We definitely would stay again.

When we arrived at the hotel in Tucumcari, NM they told us that they didnt have a room for us because their employee didn't clean enough pet rooms. We told them we had reserved a room several weeks ago We were told that it was not their problem that we booked with a third party. They ended up giving us a handicapped room telling us they couldn't give us a room with carpet because we had little dogs. We told them we had a room with carpet at Best Western last week in Amarillo Texas with our dogs. We went on to our room and immediately saw that there were stains on the bed, as if someone had an accident and it wasn't cleaned. We returned to the office for new bedding and they told us the bedding was locked up by the people who clean the rooms In the mornings. We told them we didn't want to stay in that room so they told us to go to LA Quinta across the street. We asked for a refund and they told us we couldn't have one because we went through a third party. We couldn't just pay for another hotel so we asked for any blanket they could give us. We got a top and bottom sheet and a single thin throw blanket. We were exhausted after driving 9 hours and went to sleep. We are very upset and will not ever use Best Western again. As for third party booking? We booked with you because we always do and thought it was safe to count on you, but apparently it just means we pay you when we book it and IF they have it when we get there then that's great but if not we're out of luck? We are really bothered by this.

The property is immaculate, situated right off I-40. The evening staff were so sweet. there was a choice of wrapped cookies in the evening & a wonderful freshly prepared breakfast in the morning. The room looked exactly like the online picture & was just as clean as it looked. Best mattresses of this whole 9 day trip.zzzz

It is motel style not hotel style as stated

We had a spacious ground floor room with a private patio. Comfortable bed and other furniture.

Why is Best Western determined to make the bed so high? Short and/or older people have difficulty with the height.

It was easy to get to off US 40.
