There were a lot of choices. The food tasted good. The food was warm.

Home made omelets would be a real bonus for breakfast

The staff was very helpful with assisting me with locations of various venues. It was very convenient to not only the City of Hope but to shopping nearby. There was a nice variety of items on the breakfast bar and the coffee was great! I liked having the dispensers of soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower.

Better tasting coffee in the rooms. Also, the current creamer/sugar packet is very limited in volume.

The room was clean and spacious. Also, checking in was very easy.

The room stated there was a pull out couch, and there wasn't.

I called the day before to let them know of our late arrival the next day and the lady obtained our information to “help speed up the check in process when you arrive.” once I arrived the lady at the desk checked me in and knew we would be late, ran my card and then went over the details of the room. we booked a king due to having a three year old that would probably sleep with us , however she said we had a queen. when I questioned that and that the charges were more than 140 dollars more than what we were told, she said “ well your room was sold, sometimes that happens in the system and that she would have to let the manager know to be able to change the prices” she did call other hotels but they were booked and gave me the option of taking the room or canceling. I told her I could not cancel as we need a room but I was not paying 140+ dollars more, especially for a smaller bed and would talk to management the next day. When we opened the door to the room, it appeared dirty. debris on the floor by the kitchen area, the table was soiled, food crumbs on the floor, there was hair that covered the chairs ( it looked like someone had their hair cut in the chair), hair on the bedside table, specks of toothpaste in the sink. we did call down and they came up and took picture and switched our rooms. all staff were pleasant but the experience and concern for customer service was lacking regarding the rooms and the issues with overbooking as she stated “ this happens”. the next day , I did speak to the lady up front and she was to give a discount on the room being I did not get the king but at check out , I was still charged higher then when I reserved the room. the gentleman the next day did take 50 dollars off. I am not asking for a free room but to receive what was reserved and for the price that I was told would be the full charge.
