Cancelled reservation due to pool being closed

The pool was closed and the hallway carpets were filthy, so we cancelled our reservations and went somewhere else.

I liked the location and the renovations of the property. It is a very nice style, but very incomplete.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay. Our room was not very clean. I had just showered when I noticed the hairs in the sheets. It would have been okay (these things can happen), but when we brought it to the front desk’s attention, they did not offer another room or even to bring us replacement bedding. The agent even seemed to be upset with me for asking. We were required to go down and get it ourselves. But that was not all… The floors and carpet inside the room were sticky. We had to place towels on the floor of the shower and bathroom to walk around barefoot. The carpet in the hallway was very stained and sticky, but we chalked it up to renovations still being in process. Besides the cleanliness and disposition of the front desk agent, there was the environment. A threatening man, who actually turned out to be a guest, was not removed from the premises. I had to learn from other guests to be on guard instead of the hotel security.

Breakfast was served later than I was willing to wait. No way on God's green earth would I have ate the food since there was NO HOT WATER! THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A SECOND. No way to wash the equipment or utensils unless cold water was used. Do you use cold water to wash dishes? No showers for me. I would absolutely not recommend walking anywhere in this building without shoes on. everything is sticky. Did I mention there was NO HOT WATER?

Uh, NO HOT WATER AND THE FLOORS WERE STICKY! My shoes stuck to the carpet in the hallways. Huge stains everywhere. the tile entryway floors were sticky and NO HOT WATER!!!!!! If I wanted to go primitive camping, it would have been cheaper. At least in the woods, the floor isn't sticky and I could boil water to get cleaned off.

Shower needed to be more cleaner, hair on the walls. It appeared to have blood stains on the sofa chair.
