Neat little cabin

During our stay, we encountered a plumbing issue with the master bathroom which made it in useable on the first night. The toilet had water backing up and was spilling over. The bathtub had water backing up so we couldn't even use the shower. The next morning, the second bathroom had water gushing all over the floor after flushing the toilet. Besides the plumbing problem, the master bathroom floor wasn't swept/cleaned. There were bugs crawling around in the master bedroom and bathroom. This was a pretty disappointing stay overall. It's a neat small cabin just wish it was cleaned better and didn't have the plumbing problem.

The house was perfect! The location, the proximity to the water (right outside the door!), the layout, the everything. I hope to stay again in the future.

The only issue was that the house was cold for early January. The fireplace cannot be used, so we had to really crank up the thermostats in each room (but on the flipside, it was really nice to have a separate thermostat for each room so we had better control). This is very minor, though.

Beautiful views, great location, rustic clean cabin, great Floorplan /bedrooms on opposite sides.

The couch is old and needs replaced, the dishwasher didn't work, you can't use the garage disposal, the tub in the master room isn't really usable as the hot water runs out, mouse traps around the house, and exposed wires. We have a 4 year old. Also, we had to ask for the BBQ and patio furniture. Can't even use the BBQ because it blows the circuit and then half the house doesn't have power.

Remarkable view, lots of wildlife. Watched harbor seal and heron work in tandem to catch fish right in front of cabin. Close to good restaurants and walking distance on beach to historic lodge for drinks, great food. Wifi did not work when we arrived, but pretty good response to problem and fixed within 1 1/2 hours.

Carpets badly soiled; the couch cover was so dirty we called and asked it to be replaced, so a blanket was taken off of bed in back room and put over couch; front deck spongy from moisture and moss buildup between boards...rotted in places and peeled badly. One of main windows in living had badly broken seal with lots of condensation inside so, no view there. We have been in alot of rentals on water, this was worst one.

I liked the private ocean view and access to the beach.

The online pictures of the cabin look completely different from what it really looks like inside. The maid did a horrible job. It was not clean. The living room was the worst. The sofa looked disgusting, there was bits of food and other gross stuff all over it. We chose to sit on the two red chairs as that was our only option. The living room carpet was in the same gross condition as the sofa. I would never recommend this cabin to anyone. It didn't feel enjoyable or relaxing there with how grimy everything was kept. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable.

Spotless, well stocked, towels, all the needed kitchen accessories, pots pans dishes soaps cleaners EVERYTHING!!! Games, books music. Just awesome!!! Right on the beach. Easy walk to Captain Whidbey's. Short hop to town parks museums stores and restaurants. Those red chairs were the most comfortable ever!!! The pictures and art hanging on the walls was exceptional!

Not use to a pillow top mattress. :-) Couldnt figure how to get music to work. ??? Enjoyed the Roku and the channels offered. Thanks!
