Everything was great except the sugar ants

This is the second time we stayed at this location and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Very comfortable, clean and nice setting for our family.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The home was perfect for our family of six. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Great location just steps to the beach and only a few minutes walk to the main part of town and all the restaurants! Would definitely stay here again!

Great spot! Clean spacious and great location. We noticed the sharp railing as described in other review and the manager fixed it by 2nd night.

This was a great place in a very good location just a block from the beach.

Beautiful rental close to the beach. My family and I enjoyed our stay. Was unaware of it being a duplex and an upper unit. Was a little concerning with our smaller grandchildren and the noise the neighbors on the bottom floor may hear. Upstairs loft room was beautiful spiral staircase was a little tricky but we made it work. Property was very clean.

Spent 3 great nights with our daughters and their guys. Moved, sadly, from Salem, Oregon to Iowa 4 years ago; have seen our daughters once in the past 2 years so we took a 3-week long road trip out to see them and our grandchildren and great-granddaughter. We've desired a beach trip with a bonfire for many years and we were happily able to achieve that! This home is set up pretty nicely but furniture apparently is seldom moved as lots of dirt was under the couches. Also, we found a newer I-phone shoved down in one couch. We notified the management of this and also left a note near the phone for the cleaning staff so hopefully it was returned to the correct owner. The winding iron staircase was a challenge to navigate and the joint between 2 railings had a sharp edge to it that we often caught our hands on; management was notified of this and a note was also placed on the railing about it. Location of the home was good; very little traffic.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The home was perfect for our family of six. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and we even found roasting sticks to use for s’mores on the beach! Great location just steps to the beach and only a few minutes walk to the main part of town and all the restaurants! Only complaint is that there were only a couple of channels on the TV, but that’s minor. Would definitely stay here again!

I had family visiting from Minnesota. We Had a wonderful time. The location was perfect for our three small children. We didn’t need to use the car the entire time we were there, as everything was in easy walking distance for our 4 and 8 year old. Great property.

We had a great time!! So close to the beach… plenty of room for our large family… we had the best time! We were able to walk almost everywhere we needed to during our visit!

This house was conveniently located near downtown Seaside. We would highly recommended to other people traveling to the area and want to stay close to the water and Seaside.

The location was excellent. Close to a safe sand play area for older children. And Walking distance to the boardwalk. There are no batteries in three of the smoke detectors in the downstairs bedrooms and the hallway.

WONDERFUL location - view of the ocean, and quick access to the Promenade, beach, and all of the wonderful downtown areas! The kitchen is narrow, but very well stocked, and the décor and the furnishings in the main living areas are very nice; it is extremely comfortable. The table is large enough to accommodate 8 for a dinner and is great for playing cards or other games. It was wonderful to find a Keurig in addition to the regular coffee pot. Some things to keep in mind, which may affect our future decision to stay here, would be the following: 1) The presence of both a pole and a spiral staircase in the living/dining area somewhat restrict movement and the number of people who can use the space comfortably. 2) The mattresses in the room with the bunkbeds, as has been noted previously, are sagging and unsupportive; it felt like you were laying directly on the metal frame. The floor was decidedly more comfortable. 3) The "queen” bed is actually a queen size mattress on a king-sized frame. The means that there is 5” of wood sticking out all around the bed – many bruised shins! The mattress was comfortable, though. 4) The spiral staircase to the loft is a bit loose, as noted by others. It is also very narrow, making it difficult to drag a suitcase up the stairs. 5) The spiral staircase is in the living area – something should be put on the edges as it is a huge head-banging hazard when walking past it. 6) The “2 full baths” as stated in the description, were not what we expected. The loft bathroom contains a giant whirlpool tub with a hand-held sprayer, but no real shower or way to take a shower. We all had to share the main level bathroom, which was very inconvenient. 7) The loft bathroom contains only a pedestal sink, with no place to put toiletries. Not very convenient for trying to do makeup or shave. And it is so small that only one person at a time can access this bathroom. 8) The king size bed sits up on a high pedestal in the loft, and is difficult for someone who is short or has knee or back issues to climb into. One of our group had to use a stool to get into the bed. 9) Bring your own Kleenex. 11) With a huge cleaning fee and multiple "administrative fees", it seems a bit tacky to leave an envelope for tips. Tips are to reward for exceptional service – it is an expectation that when you rent someplace, it is already clean!

Was able to snag this property last minute for a getaway to the coast with our 2 young grandsons. It was perfect!! The location could not be better. It’s a 1 minute walk to the beach! The set up of the house is wonderful! I especially loved the upstairs loft room. It’s a lovely and quiet sanctuary with a view of the ocean. The call air coming in through the windows made it so nice! The boys loved the big room with the bunk beds. As previous reviews stated, the mattresses are in need of updating, but the kids didn’t complain. We had plenty of hot water and the kitchen was nicely stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice property. We enjoyed using the deck and soaker tub. Past reviews about needing a family sized fry pan, ants in the kitchen and a terribly sagging bottom bunkbed mattress I assumed would have been dealt with by the time we rented, but they have not been.

This house has a great location with being a short walk to the beach and a short walk to downtown Seaside. It was so easy to explore the area. The house was clean and we loved being able to see the ocean from the upstairs as well as living room area. The house was well furnished and even had games for the kids to play.

Over all it was good however, the dishwasher was still full from the prior guests, and the coffee pot also still had coffee in it from the prior guests. I do realize it’s the beach however there was sand in one of the beds.

Great location on quiet street and superb access to the beach and promenade. While the property was clean some of the glassware/dishes needed to be cleaned before use. Recommend including a list of basic amenities such as coffeemaker, crockpot, hair dryer, etc. so guests can plan ahead and know what to bring vs what’s is available/provided. Thanks for having us!

This is a great home with a cozy yet spacious space!Pros:Location, location, location!!Lots of space to spread out while making it easy to be together. The beach is an easy walk, even for the under-exercised. Many kitchen items to make this your weekend home! Sooooo much closet space!! Convenient to the promenade and downtown.HUGE dining/craft table. Loved the Ottoman that ninjas as a divided table!!The tub just outside the master bedroom is divine!! Cons:Trying to set up early check in took too many communications. We're very appreciative of the eventual accommodation. Upon arrival to obtain the necessary keys and paperwork, the office was not informed of the early arrival and was not welcoming or hospitable. It felt very much like an inconvenience. Upon arrival, the home was great with 2 exceptions: there were dishes in the dishwasher and barely enough tp for 1 night. There wasn't any indication of whether or not the fireplace was ready to use or not (was the flue open or not??)The bottom bunk mattress needs to be replaced.The queen bedroom bed is uber squeaky; and I was alone in there. The location of the trash and recycling totes need to be made clear.The spiral staircase needs tightening.While we knew there were downstairs tenants, the floor/ceiling must have been Very thin as there were knocks on the ceiling/floor when there were 2 adult women having a quiet talk in one of the bedrooms (admittedly in the wee hours of the morning). We were also asked by the downstairs tenants, at 10 am , to tone down a show we were watching on the one and only TV in the living room. Synopsis...there's only 1 TV in the whole home...and we had to move it to the master bedroom, so as not to be disruptive.Last point: as someone who owns her own housekeeping business, I don't feel that, with such a high housekeeping charge, tenants should be required to do as much as is divulged in the instructions (revealed at check-in, not in the ad) before check out under duress of more fees. If those are the expectations, a later checkout needs to be included.

This home is in the perfect location in Seaside, literally steps from the promenade that stretches down the length of the downtown. It is on one end so you don't have the crazy crowds but an easy walk puts you in the middle of everything. There is beach access steps from the front door as an added bonus. The only thing to pay special attention too is that while it is a 2 bathroom home, the master has only a tub (no shower). Not a huge deal for us as there was only 4 in our group but something to consider. There is some general maintenance issues that I would address if the home was mine (slow shower drain, sugar ants in the kitchen, needs new skillets as the non-stick coating is gone, cookware that was put away with chunks of burnt on food, etc.) but overall it was a great property for us. I just washed all dishes we used before we used them. I would happily rent this home again but I will bring my own cookware next time.

The property was perfect for my family and I. The location right off the Prom gave us easy access to the beach and center of town with peace and quiet away from the crowds. The unit was well stocked and had everything we needed and more. You could tell the owners and property management company took great care of the home. Looking forward to our next stay!

The house was as described online. Very clean and well stocked. We had trouble with the latch on the sliding glass door. The screen was separated from the frame on the same door at arrival. The dishwasher wouldn’t dissolve the powdered dishwashing soap. The dial on the washing machine was tricky. We enjoyed our stay very much. Would recommend it.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home! Walking distance to almost everywhere. Very cozy and clean. Sliding glass door isn’t locking and washing machine knob very hard to turn. Easy fixes, just wanted you to be aware of it. We will definitely stay again!
