The bungalow is in a quiet, rural location. It has everything you could need, I've never had such a well equipped kitchen. The beds are comfortable, the garden is lovely and Malcolm is on hand next door to provide produce from his garden and give any help that you need. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in this area of Lincolnshire.

We had a wonderful stay in this very spacious accomodation in the Wolds. Malcolm, who lives next door is charming, and as previous guest have said, grows the most delicious tomatoes. The pears and apples are also lovely.
You will find everything you could posssibly need in this property, witha bonus being the large American Style fridge. We visited Lincoln, the coast and Gunby Hall (National Trust) and also had a very relaxing time in the home.
We hope to revisit this property as we have lots of things yet to see. We will have to hope it is available when next we vist the UK.

Very comfort, clean, well equipped and lots of extras. A lovely welcome pack on arrival. It was a pleasure to meet Malcolm who brought us home grown raspberries and tomatoes. Altogether a very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend this property.

Very clean, great WiFi, squirrels in the garden. You'll find a recordplayer and lots of Jim Reeves records. Owner Malcolm will make you feel welcome. Trips to Lincoln, the Lancaster, antiques, is all in the neighbourhood. We had a wonderful time.

A lovely place.
The bungalow was nice and roomy and well maintained and clean. It has a large garden.The owner lives next door so check in was easy and he was very welcoming and helpful. The village was quite small but this suited us fine and it was only a 10 minute drive to the nearest town with shops and restaurants. The village has just a village hall, church and pub 10 minutes walk away and is well-located for day trips around Lincolnshire

Fabulous property
Great location to explore Lincolnshire. Host Malcolm was friendly, helpful and available if needed. We had a brilliant week visiting Lincoln (Cathedral outstanding) and small Lincolnshire towns. Louth was our favourite - with its market and lots of foodie places. Also many pubs for lunch within easy distance. Recommended.

Relaxing Time
This was one of the best holiday homes we have been to. It was very well equipped with everything you need for a great holiday. It’s a lovely bungalow and Malcolm was a wonderful host. We will certainly go again.

A peaceful retreat
We had a lovely, relaxing and peaceful stay in Mon Abri. We recharged the batteries and enjoyed getting away from it all. The host was on hand to help with any queries but we had all the amenities we needed. Thank you again.

Idyllic property in a tranquil setting
The property is well equipped and exceptionally clean. The pretty well maintained garden is lovely to sit in, with just the noise of the birds, and occasional "moo" in the distance from a Cow! The owners provided bread, milk, butter and a Plum loaf, along with produce from their garden, which we were able to pick. We had some lovely runner beans, cucumber and courgette. The property although down a quiet lane, is well situated for visiting many places in this stunning county. This is our second stay at Mon Abri, and we would thoroughly recommend it.

Rural idyll

Excellent family break
Had a great week at this beautiful cottage set in a quiet village setting surrounded by open fields. Owners were very welcoming and friendly and the garden vegetables were a highlight of our stay. Would not hesitate to return in future.

Wonderful stay
We very much enjoyed our stay at Mon Abri. Jill and Malcolm were lovely hosts, providing excellent communication before our break and making us feel very welcome on our arrival. The house had everything we needed to enjoy a very comfortable stay and the super weather that we had gave us many opportunities to enjoy the beautiful garden. Highly recommended. Mon Abri was above and beyond our expectations. Malcolm and Jill are both lovely hosts, very helpful, informative and friendly. Everything you needed was provided, lovely and clean with a beautiful garden. Would not hesitate to come again or recommend.

August stay
Had a wonderful week staying at this property. Very spacious and a lovely big well looked after garden. The hosts were excellent and resolved any queries straight away. The location was quiet, peaceful and there was a children’s park at the end of the road which was perfect for our 4 year old and our friends 9 year old to play in. We visited quite a lot of Lincolnshire towns and seaside resorts most of which were within 40mins of the house. In the local area we tried a number pubs for lunch or dinner all of which were very nice, there was also a fantastic bakery in Horncastle which was 5mins drive away. Had a great stay and will definitely consider visiting again.

A great ‘home from home’
We enjoyed a very relaxing week at Mon Abri. Peaceful, quiet, spacious and comfortable. Malcolm showed us round his adjoining garden and said we could help ourselves to any of the produce. It wasn’t possible to resist the offer after tasting his tomatoes.

Beautiful quiet hideaway
A warm welcome from Malcolm with much produce from his garden awaited us when we arrived at this beautiful well equipped bungalow. Set in a quiet position on the edge of a small village it had magnificent gardens where we were able to sit peacefully. Central for touring the area not forgetting Horncastle itself which has many lovely walks. Would definitely recommend and will return when we are next in the area.

A great escape
The perfect location to explore the countryside and within easy reach of Lincoln. The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Surrounded by the most beautiful garden, it is a wonderful escape. Malcolm, the owner, could not be more welcoming and helpful. We can’t wait to go back.

Good accommodation in a quiet peaceful setting
Mon Abri is situated in a quiet lane next to the owners house. The accommodation is spacious, well equipped in a peaceful setting, but not far from the main roads into Lincoln, the coast and the Wolds. We were greeted by Malcolm who showed us round and had left us milk, eggs, tomatoes etc, and made sure during our stay that everything was okay, which it was. We had never been to this area before, but are so glad we have found this part of England as there is so much to see and do. We will definitely return and would have no hesitation in booking a stay at Mon Abri.

Very good. Almost like home from home .
We were met by Malcolm a wonderful host fresh eggs straight from chickens were
provided together with milk,butter,bread and plum loaf a lovely touch. The bungalow is nice and comfortable and the gardens are beautiful we very much enjoyed our stay.

The Perfect Place
We had a great week in the wolds,and back each night to the bungalow.

A beautiful bungalow in stunning gardens. A real home from home.
This lovely bungalow has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable home from home. The owner lives next door and is available if needed, but not intrusive. The village is ideally situated for visiting the town, villages and attractions of Lincolnshire. A welcome pack is provided, along with a lovely hand arranged vase of fresh flowers. In 40 years of cottage holidays this was one of the best.

Home from Home
The house is lovely, warm and cosy and has everything you could possibly need. Malcolm is a good host only knocking on the door if he had something to give us, it was home grown sweetcorn and sweet it was. We would highly recommend this cosy Home from Home.

The perfect little house, set in an idyllic location
Mon Abri was the perfect cottage to host our small family (2 adults + 3 young kids) for a one week stay in Lincolnshire.
It's just far enough from the main roads to be peaceful and tranquil, but still accessible to enable us to explore the area at our leisure. The property itself is nicely presented, with ample accommodation. It boasts an impressive garden, with an additional vegetable garden at the rear overlooking beautiful fields.
The cottage has all the mod cons needed, including high speed BT Broadband, and the landlord (who lives next door) is an extremely nice and helpful chap. He even gave us plenty of homegrown veggies to take home.
We will definitely be coming back!
