Wonderful stay

We had a great trip to Steamboat Springs! The house was fully equipped and we felt right at home in this cozy mountain house. The location was perfect and it couldn’t have been easier to get to the slopes or in to town. We hope to come back!

Our extended family spent a great week at Berghaus Lodge South over the new year's holiday. The house is beautifully furnished and the bedrooms are gigantic and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with just about any cooking appliance you could ask for and the family room with fireplace and huge TV were great for the college football playoffs. The free purple line bus picks up and drops off literally across the street and at day's end it's no more than a 2-minute ride (we rented a storage cubby from Black Tie for just a few bucks a day and kept our skis and boots there overnight). The house is convenient to a grocery store, drug store, and Walmart for anything that needs to be picked up. It's a duplex but the soundproofing must be great because there was a large group next door and we never heard anyone. Our kids loved the foosball and air hockey tables, and the hot tub was perfect for day's end. The lodging company left a bottle of wine and charcuterie board which was awfully thoughtful but what we really appreciated was when the hot tub wasn't heating up (a tripped breaker, nothing big), we called them and they came out to fix the problem within like 90 minutes. Had a great week (the 3 feet of fresh snow didn't hurt) and would definitely stay again.

We found out the day before our arrival that a National Rental company had cancelled our reservation at another location . We had family arriving from 4 different locations, flight commitments, time off work, and were frantic! We found this beautiful home still available, we were so excited. With Steamboat Lodging you communicate with real people and not computers. They went out of their way to confirm our reservation fast! We were in the next day! Everything was exactly as presented. Home is warm and clean, all the appliances, fireplace, hot tub, kitchen , televisions, and internet work. The bedrooms with private baths provide privacy and comfort. Garage keeps your vehicle protected. The convenience of the Steamboat Lodging shuttle provides door to door convenience to the Mountain, restaurants, Village, and Downtown. We can't help but recommend Berghaus South with the highest ratings.

Great location and home for our large group. Steamboat lodging was very helpful during our stay and quick to respond with any questions. The included steamboat lodging shuttle was very convenient to get us to/from the mountain base and downtown. The only suggestion would be to have a baby gate or two at the house for any groups with small children. The local steam boat baby rental company didn't have any either which was surprising. All in all a great stay and would stay at a steamboat lodging home again.

This was a very nice place to spend an extended weekend with family. It was a beautiful home/duplex and extremely comfortable. It had everything we could ask for in a vacation home. It helped that it rained during our stay and cooled down at night so we were able to open the windows and didn't miss not having AC.

Best place we’ve ever stayed through VRBO. Property Management is super friendly and helpful! House was exactly as advertised! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The property was nice and clean and the pictures were accurate of the place. It was perfect for our group of multiple families with adults and kids. Lots of things to do and enjoy at the property and close by.

We had a wonderful stay in this home with 7 adults. Everyone was comfortable and there was lots of privacy. The kitchen was very well-equipped and we cooked several meals. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location. Peggy was very helpful in planning before our arrival. The shuttle system they have was amazing. Great layout. We had a great time.

Great location, very fast Wi-Fi which was a huge plus. Extremely close to the lifts.

We enjoyed this property and communication with management was excellent. We did run out of hot water multiple times and would have liked a larger washer/dryer. But overall, it was a wonderful place.

This property was absolutely perfect. Very nice staff, clean property, early check in, welcome gifts & wine, game room….and a great location to the mountain and downtown. Can’t say enough about this property.

There is a perfect slope outside for the kids to sled on. The house is also right on the bus routes making getting around very easy.

We were all very comfortable and content despite the age spreads and varied interests. Access to Steamboat Springs shopping and dining and the surrounding outdoor activities was excellent. The only reason for the less than five star rating for location and neighborhood was due to road construction in the immediate and surrounding area, but just a minor annoyance.

We stayed at Berghaus with 12 family members and it was perfect for our family. 3 master bedrooms for the 3 couples and bunk room for the 6 children. Beautiful house and wonderful amenities. The temp was really hot so no air conditioning made it challenging but it all worked out.

It was a very nice home that my family and I enjoyed.

Very nice place, with plenty to do. The management company was very professional and handled our small internet problem promptly on a holiday weekend Sunday.

Great property, just as awesome as it looks in the pictures. hot tub was a life saver after a day on the slopes, location is within 2 minutes of the lifts by car, the porch has incredible views, really can't say enough good things about this. Absolutely enhanced our vacation, would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Berghaus! The location was unbelievable, so convenient,, management was very responsive to our questions. Tons of room for the 10 of us. Loved and used the game room and hot tub. Would def stay here again!

Very beautiful home and comfortably suited the entire family

First I must comment on Steamboat Lodging staff. They were incredible, knowledgeable, friendly, responsive, and overall superb. We also appreciated our welcome gifts and note. The house was just as described and had everything you could need. We needed baby items such as pack and play and booster seat (high chair) which were brand new and perfect- just take a sheet. We did not use shuttle or bus service but they were readily available. We were minutes from slopes with fabulous views. The yard was great to play in and the hot tub very refreshing. We used one of the two washer/dryers daily which was very helpful. The only issue we had was pilot light went out on fireplace and they were literally there in minutes to fix it during a snow squall. 2 car garage was nice as we had 2 cars and great ski storage, with 2 sleds for kids play. The playroom was nice with air hockey and foosball. we did not use poker table but played card games at large dining table. Grocery, pharmacy etc all nearby. You will not go wrong if you use this company and choose this house

Everything was great. My only negative, which at the end did not matter, was that my impression from VRBO was that it was a single family home and not a duplex. Also it would be helpfull if the address was on a mailbox or something on the street. Great times. Thank you.

The layout of this house is perfect for family. The basement walkout level has a bedroom for four children and room for them to play in their own space. There are three master suites on the main and upper level. So everyone had their own space as well as a great gathering area on the main floor. We will definitely book this property again. The property is as beautiful as it shows on the listing.!

My step daughter was getting married in Steamboat on 10/10/20. We choose to stay some extra days for rehearsal dinner, and just hanging out with family. We had such a wonderful stay! The place was just beautiful. We will definitely be back to stay again!!

We are a family of five tall adults and we appreciated the three king beds in 3 of the four guest rooms. Loved having a grill and hot tub! Kitchen is well stocked with every appliance and utensil you could possibly want. Great have a separate wet bar, too. Working through Steamboat vacation rentals was the best company we’ve ever experienced. Great information and very responsive.

The home was set up perfectly for our arrival and is well laid out for a group stay. We particularly liked there were en-suite bathrooms for three of the bedrooms. We had a ton of fun at the house and visiting Steamboat and will definitely return here if we have a larger group again.

We had such a great stay at this amazing property. The house is beautiful and had a great open concept and bedroom setup for 4 couples and some kids. Plenty of parking at the property and a 10 minute drive to downtown. Steamboat Lodging Company was very attentive and helpful.

Really a nice property. Had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms, lots of space in common areas. A well built / well designed property...not cheaply made or furnished like some places we've rented. The only wish we would have would be some type of shade for the porch....the afternoon sun would make it pretty hot on the porch. Some of this was due to temps being higher than normal.

We had a great time at this property! Very clean, great amenities, and super comfortable. Very close to the slopes, groceries and and the city center. The management was responsive and repeatedly told us to reach out if we needed anything. 10/10 Would stay again.

This is a wonderful property. Our group consisted of two adults and 6 kids ages 16 and up. The teenagers loved the basement with the air hockey table, foosball table, poker table and private hot tub. The main level was open with lots of space to eat and relax. The pictures on the website are exactly what you get. The property is close to the Main Street with restaurants and shopping, and it is also within walking distance to grocery stores. It does get warm in the summer without air conditioning, but fans are provided in each bedroom. This property is definitely someplace I recommend staying. We will definitely return and rent Berghaus South again. Thanks for a great stay!!
