Das Frühstück war es nicht Wert, da man man so lange auf sein Kaffee warten musste und das Essen wurde noch nicht mal serviert.

İnanılmaz güzel bir otel. Hiç bukadar iyi olmasını beklemiyordum. Konum müthiş. Tam nanjing roadın the bund şeridine yakın ve merkezde. Metroya ulaşım çok kolay. East nanjing road durağına 3 dk yürüme mesafesi (line 2 ve line 10), oda manzaram şehir manzarası ile otelin en güzel odasıydı 1105. Tüm gezi ve iş yorgunluğunu atıp keyif yapabileceğimiz küveti manzaraya karşı inanılmaz güzeldi. Otel çalışanlarının yardım severliği ve hizmet anlayışı çok kibardı. Kahvaltısıda iyiydi. Özellikle rooftop kısmında ve en üst katında şehir manzarası gece 10 da ışıklar kapanmadan izlenmeli. Mükemmeldi.

Beautiful property in an excellent location just minutes away from The Bund. Everything about The Shanghai EDITION was impeccable — service was great start to finish, with the manager being on the ground, to attentive staff all round; decor was also tasteful and amenities aplenty. I am already planning my next visit!

I found the property itself great BUT the huge drawback was the staff. I had emailed the property prior to my arrival to ask for a room on a high floor. No response from them and at check in was given a low floor room. I did manage to negotiate a room change BUT felt like someone should have responded to my request via email in the first place (especially at this price point). I really found everything difficult as a guest. I tried to order room service at 10:30pm and was told that the kitchen staff had gone home. After some further calls to the front desk I was told I could go upstairs to the bar and order food but would have to bring it down to my room myself. I did this but once upstairs was told the kitchen was closed. At 11pm in a 5 star hotel I couldn’t believe not even a late night menu option was available. I also decided to extend my trip by one night and this even proved difficult. Some of the bar staff on the roof really did make the stay enjoyable but the overall experience from the hotel staff left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied as a customer. I’m returning to Shanghai this weekend but won’t be staying at The Edition. I’d prefer to spend my money in a hotel that makes all their guests feel welcome (even the foreign ones).

I’m glad to say the service tried their best to make our stay great and they got succeed . We are deeply grateful to the managers , Eddie and Frank , who were truly courteous and could solve any problem. Despite the mistake which happened to us during our check in , the service and the managers did their work very well and coped with all our desires. The hotel is very different from any others which you have seen before , but this speciality makes it distinctive on the Chinese hotel market . Must visit the roof top bar with a view and enjoy the odor of toiletries 😍 I will definitely come back again 😀

The bathroom is narrow and doesn’t have a window , which is strange for the level of this hotel .

Very spacious and cosy room, very kind and helpful staff who took time to provide a birthday cake and flowers for my partner, free of charge. i appreciate it a lot. awesome breakfast, with a lot of choice for local or foreign guests.

lack of information about what items are included and not included in the price. for instance the food and drinks in mini bar. there is no book to inform, it's regretable. also we had to call to get a tooth brush and tooth past, the minimum usually in a 5 starts hotel of this kind. i understand it's to be more environmental friendly, but i think there are other areas to save energy/water etc rather than this one.
