We had the cabin, very well equipped, but the staircase would be too steep for a child or older person. Nice size cabin, but no tv. Unfortunately we had very noisy neighbors, so we could not sleep during the night. The bed upstairs needs a new mattress. But it has a nice kitchen with everything but food in it and a nice size bathrooom

I liked this property because the staff was exceptionally kind and the food below in the bar was also great. You get a lot for what you pay for. A great bed, shower, microwave, and coffee machine! It was super great in location, right next to a lot of hiking locations.

Beautiful and comfortable cabin two levels. Didn’t expect to get so nice a place, but happily surprised. The staff was amazingly friendly and kind.

I liked the rustic feel to the place. It had an old saloon vibe where the hotel rooms were above the bar and locals and traveller's made you feel welcome with banter and friendly chatter. I even stopped on the way back to Anchorage for lunch.

Incredibly comfortable bed and blankets. So comfortable, that I rode out the 6.1 Memorial Day earthquake with glee, then totally slept through the 4.? (on the Richter scale) aftershocks. I was also beautifully exhausted from the nearby hiking trails up the mountain, then down by the river. I'm a birder, so there were LOTS to see. Fantastic!! I had a bison brat with onions grilled brown and caramelized the way I like them and they were gracious enough to do that for me. It was salty and delicious!!

Me, because I was probably so distracted by the earthquake that I forgot to leave a tip for the housekeepers. I am mortified and I will mail something.

No frills room that is above a well stocked bar that also has some good cheap eats. The bed is comfortable and the staff are very friendly!

No tv in the room and you can hear the chatter of people in the bar, but not necessarily a bad thing since the bar doesn’t stay open too late.

Was greeted kindly and promptly on arrival, super easy check-in/out. Plenty of hot water! The pooch was welcome. Bar noise was not too bad (I always have earplugs). Although small, private, never saw other guests. Great proximity to Girdwood, mostly fenced in park right across the hwy for the pooch to play ball. In my budget (unlike Girdwood).

It could have been a dash cleaner, found hair that wasn't mine :-I The bed could use an upgrade, felt a little taco-ed.
