We love the house on Prime Hook and the beach is so nice to walk on. The wild birds are fun to watch. May is a good time to visit before the crowds come to the beach.

My husband and I booked this home as a last minute get away after learning our senior dog has cancer and wouldn’t be with us much longer. He always loved the water and sand so we wanted to take him away before he declined. The host was super quick to respond when I was having trouble with Vrbo booking and made everything super simple. The house was beautiful and clean and everything on one level was the best. It also had a fenced in area so we didn’t have to worry about leashing for potty breaks each time. The home is just steps from super private primehook beach. The waves were very gentle and our dogs loved playing in the water. We walked on the beach several times a day and barely saw anyone else at all. The home had all the kitchen necessities needed during our stay. We would love to come back again.

We had a relaxing week at 9195 Shore Road. The Delaware bay beach is steps from the door. We spent a couple of days at Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge which is amazing. A couple of suggestions: warmer blankets are needed for a stay this time of year. We’d also suggest that extra toilet paper, paper towel, and lightbulbs be available.

the place is nice and allows dogs for a fee which is reasonable. the location is great; it's nice and quite just us and the beach and some neighbors who also keep to themselves. inside is mostly clean. the flies are bad and there is a warning note in the house; after a day, we became really sharp swatters. we also got bit pretty bad, probably because of the hiking we did on trails. we enjoyed the stay; our dog stone really loved it. we also loved just visiting other beaches during the day, and the surrounding state parks. we were looking for a low-key quite time at the beach and we found it here.

Phenomenal location. This was our first (and will not be our last) visit to the amazing Prime Hook location. All of the North Carolina beaches feel without the long drive. The beach is literally steps out the door. The dogs and the kid had a phenomenal time. No stress about massive waves or rip currents. Everything in the house was also nice. They really do a great job of up keeping the property. It was easy to find and easy to get to. We really liked the big open room feel and then bedrooms in the back. The house is stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and even foil and plastic wrap. We loved our stay and can’t wait to be back.

This is a very well appointed beach cottage! Very comfy, cozy with a wonderful outdoor shower!

New deck was nice but could not really enjoy it because of the infestation of fly’s and mosquitoes this year. We also noticed dog hair on our socks. ( we did not bring a dog). All in all it was nice. Our Second time renting out this location. Thank You Terry😎

We enjoyed our visit to Terry's property. We were sorry to see the beach was not usable due to a storm. We did enjoy the walks in the neighborhood and the bird reserve. Wish there had been a screen on the door to keep the flys at bay but we worked around them and used the fly swatters a lot.

We had a wonderful time. Relaxing on the deck and beach walks. Took a couple trips to nearby hiking destinations with the pup.

Very enjoyable

The cottage was so nice. The weather was awful most of our stay, yet we still had a great time. We had everything we needed and it was wonderful to just step through the gate and onto the beach. We really enjoyed the bay beach -- so many interesting birds and relatively few people. I especially enjoyed sitting in the the lifeguard chair and just watching the water, the birds, the clouds.

Great getaway for 2 adults and one small dog. We enjoyed many walks on the beach!

For us, simplicity works. Seahorse Cottage is comfortable, out of the way, unpretentious, and ideal for spending quiet time. Love it off season and noticed lots of rabbits at dusk. Has a new deck and outdoor shower, open patio so has a wider view. No more upper deck, but we didn’t really miss it.

Property does set low and you don’t have a good view of the water from the screened in porch or deck, but you are still waterfront which is perfect. Property was generally clean, could use a good deep cleaning with many cobwebs throughout the interior and spiders inside and out, but it’s an older waterfront home. Would recommend for a single family as the location and neighbors are all wonderful.

Everything was as shown. Terry is a great host and responded immediately for two minor requests. The beach and neighbors are lovely. I highly recommend if you a looking for a beach retreat from the crowds. The beach access is right at your fingertips. My sister and I highly recommend. We will be back. Tammy and Dawn
