It’s located perfectly away from Palermo (which felt busy) and only a 20 minutes away from a local beach. To be honest, we didn’t really want to leave the villa as it’s so peaceful and quiet. Monica (the host) was very friendly and welcoming and accommodated me and my son by putting us to a different room closer to the swimming pool, it was very sweet!

The only thing I felt was a downside is that there is no little fridge in the room and neither we were allowed to use the fridge in the house. If you are travelling with a child it can be a bit inconvenient having to go out every time you want fresh food. Because it was quite warm already in April the good we’d buy wouldn’t last till the next morning. That’s just something to keep in mind - stock up on snacks:)

Monica and Marco are wonderful hosts. The house is a splendid environment and you feel like private guests. It is an oasis after a stressful tourist tour in Palermo. Our landlords gave us lots of useful advises, made reservations, organized private transportation and spoiled us with a special and delicious international breakfast. Eine wunderschöne Villa, im sizilianischen Still, sehr geschmackvoll und außergewöhnlich eingerichtet. Mit Pool in einem schönen Garten. Monika ist eine tolle Gastgeberin! Sehr nett. Sie bereitet gutes Frühstück, (fragt nach Wünschen), total schön gedeckt! Die Zimmer sind groß, hell und schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber, das Bad auch sehr groß und sauber Die Betten sind sehr bequem, mit zwei Kissen für jeden. Im Flur steht ein Wasserkocher mit Tee. in der Nähe (zu Fuß nicht weit) gibt es ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Ich habe die Zeit bei Monika genossen. Agnieszka

Superb Hostess Monica, well informed on all the region, The main hose is amazingly rich with antiques , she went out of her way to introduce us to some of the unique requests we made!! Very good linen in the rooms and very safe.

House is amazing!!! Owner Monica is absolutely terrific, true Italian lady, stylish, warm, gentle and veru helpful. She made my vacation better. Hope to come back, soon.

The house and gardens were beautiful and well looked after. Monica was a very attentive and helpful host. Breakfast was very good. Proximity to the airport and great for exploring Palermo and the west of Sicily.

Breakfast was a little pricey. Although you can walk into Mondello (this was not a problem for us), a car is advisable.

We spent one night in Monica's beautiful house and throughly enjoyed every second of it. The house was tastefully decorated and made us feel as if we were staying in a mansion. The bathroom was splendid - very clean and spacious. The views from the windows were spectacular, as you could see the mountains and the palm trees at the same time which made for a surreal landscape. Monica waited for us although we arrived at 11pm at the property and served us a beer and some chips, which we really appreciated. She also kindly offered me some make-up remover as I didn't have any with me on the night we arrived. The next morning she left biscuits, brioches, eggs and coffee for us to have for breakfast, although breakfast was not included, so this was a very nice extra. We then headed outside with our coffees and breakfast and relaxed by the pool reading a book. The pool was fantastic and we were the only ones using it. Monica's dog, Balu, was also a very nice extra - he was adorable and very gentle. We stayed at the property until around 12pm and then left to explore Palermo, but if we had more time to spend in Sicily we would have happily stayed even longer at the property as it is exquisite.

The pillows were a bit too hard but otherwise everything was great!

This is a wonderful spot in Mondello! Quiet, spacious, with the use of a swimming pool, a beautiful modern kitchen and a garden area. This villa is just grandiose and Monica the perfect hostess!

The interior design was very stylish and it matched perfectly with the architectural design.

We arrived very late but our host kindly agreed to prepare us a home cooked meal for a very reasonable price. This was genuinely up there with the best food we ate in Sicily! Delicious, filling 3 courses which she pre arranged with us(note: make sure you are ready with cash for this) She picked out a delicious wine to accompany the meal and her sweet dog joined us and was a true gentleman. The house was so beautiful with selected pieces of art and furniture unlike anything we saw for the rest of our trip. Typically Sicilian but highly curated for furniture and art buffs. It was clean and comfortable. We woke to a beautiful pool and a lovely swim. The beach was a fairly short walk and our host showed us where to get some delicious beach snacks. She was very helpful.

Beautiful pool and garden and a lovely dog which is kind of sitting the house :) ! The villa itself looks wonderful and has such a great and special atmosphere!

You should know that you cannot lock your own room, only the main door to the Villa when you leave it. Our room was very small and the small lights on the night stand didn't work, so we had to use the big (way too) lightning lamp.

Very beautiful, luxury and cozy living. We felt like home. The hostess Monica was wonderful, prepared a delicious breakfast for us. we will definetly go back. Katrin ja Allan

Monika is a very good host, she helped with everything we needed. Breakfasts tailored to our preferences. Comfortable house and room, climatically furnished. Peace and quiet needed to relax :)

Beautiful beautiful beautiful you need to visit to believe it …..Monica’s Villa is only about 10 mins to the center of Palermo by car, 4 mins to the beaches, 2 mins to some amazing restaurants. Everything is so easy. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable 🙏😊

Perfect house with beautifull dog ;)

We had a great holiday, however there were a number of things that tainted our experience. The location is in walking distance to restaurants and approx. 25/30mins to Mondello sea front, however the streets surrounding the house are dark and have multiple dogs that continue to bark throughout the day and night (often waking us up early each morning). We received a kind message from Monica ahead of arriving offering us dinner on the first night, however this was not provided. Neither were the breakfasts suggested in the description. Marco, her son, greeted us and was extremely welcoming. However he text me the following morning asking for 100 euros for taxes (when these were meant to be 42)- after calling booking.com to confirm – we received a message to apologise. Unfortunately this wasn’t the end of money requests. Mid-week we received a message from Monica saying she was coming round to collect money for energy consumption. Again this wasn’t listed and when calling booking.com – they confirmed we did not owe any more money. Both times we did invite Monica to the property to discuss and she did not turn up – leaving us hanging. We then began to receive messages about air conditioning use and asking us to turn it off. It is not stated that air conditioning was limited and were using modestly so this was frustrating to receive and another dampener on our holiday. If you are wondering how they knew we were using air con – it turns out that Monica and her son live next door. At no point is this mentioned in the description or upon meeting but it is an odd situation feeling watched. A few points about the house – we were told the pool boy comes every morning at 6am – he only came twice in our week. The pool does get green and a lot of leafs, wasps, flys in the pool over night so it is needed. When we chased for the pool boy to attend – he turned up late at 945am which meant we couldn’t go in the pool until 12pm as it takes 2 hours for the chemicals to settle.
