Truly the only positive here is the staff and the view. Thank you GianCarlos in the bar, Thaw in the bar, Joselyn in the bar, Pedro at dinner, Jose at breakfast, Cameron on the boat, Nicole in the restaurant, the whole crew at the Hangover Bar, Jason with the conch diving, Jerome the tennis pro, Evelyn (our favorite) in the restaurant, Victor our butler, and Ashanti with the electric bikes. Other than that, it was a huge disappointment.

Food was awful. No, let me be more specific, it's inedible. Horrible! Requests for food/drinks were not honored (even though sent months ahead of time). Room smells like sewage. AC stopped working in 100 degree weather. No glass bottom kayak as advertised. Left at airport for 2+ hours on arrival (stuck in a room where the employees are coming and going and the resort would not answer our calls for help). Ran out of drinks at the bars (Jameson and Corona). Outlets next to bed not working to charge phones. Rain showers spray all over the bathroom floor which is a real PIA to clean up each day. Very limited toiletries. The beaches are full of rocks and this makes them hard to enjoy without pool shoes (which they did not sell on property). They advertise fishing at the resort but do not have the correct equipment to fish with (clear liters). The restaurants do not have AC and truly it is miserable to sit in the 100 degree plus temps. The also advertise diving, but do not have tanks. Be careful, you will be diving 25 ft plus with no air. It's dangerous for even the best divers. We spoke to a few employees who explained to us that the work environment has become "toxic" since the new owners took over. So very sad to hear this; as truly they are the only positive the resort has.

Hidden gem, a paradise you must visit once in a life time. Location was perfect and staff were very personal not pretentious, especially loved our butler, Winston, he is truly genuine and trying everything to make your island life luxurious and enjoyable. Definitely worth going back.

We traveled from west coast so flight time to getting to PLS was long but no complaints for ambergris cay.

The fact that you had your own golf cart to explore the island and nothing was off limits.

we got a tour and noticed in some of the larger villa’s there were telescopes but not in the beach front rooms.

I cannot say enough good things about this resort! My husband and I stayed there for the last few days of our honeymoon. First, the staff was top notch. We have stayed at several all inclusive resorts and always loved the staff, but the staff at Ambergris was exceptional. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and a delight to talk to:) Our villa was beautiful. It was clean and the view was spectacular. We loved our private pool! The ocean was the turquoise and clear and looked like something out of a movie. We received complimentary massages that were amazing and we took the sunset cruise and had lunch on a private island. Our last night at the resort, the staff surprised us with a special dinner. I couldn't have been more touched! Speaking of dinner....the food was amazing! Every meal we had was top notch! I could not recommend this resort enough. Our only regret is that we did not stay there longer!

everything about this vacation was wonderful! the privacy, the amenities, the peace and quiet, the food, and most of all, the staff that went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely awesome. There are so many fun and included activities and your butler schedules them all for you, you just need to show up! We did a sunset cruise, a picnic on a private island with snorkeling, water tubing, whale watching, massAges every day, floating tiki bar excursion, etc

there’s very little not to like! if anything, I would say it’s missing larger accommodations for family of 4, like a real 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom suites.

Hidden gem! If you want to relax and get away from the hustle bustle, this is the place. We absolutely loved everything about this place.

Easier and faster access to drinks if you’re at your villa but again not a big deal because they will bring you drinks through room service.
