Great spot to share with family celebrating my parent's 50th anniversary. So much space! Great distance to a lot of pretty spots in the area. Definitely recommend.

The beautiful cabin and property was perfect for our family of 10! We had the best time together! Plenty of things to do at the cabin and plenty of space! I can’t say enough good things about our time there!! Aprille the owner was awesome and so easy to work with. We made lifelong memories and all my kids are ready to go back! If we ever do, we will be looking to rent this property again!

We had a great time in Eagle River. Aprille was a great host and anything we needed or had questions about was taken care of immediately. The pictures do not do this place justice! It’s beautiful, very spacious and perfect for large groups!

A group of families and friends spent some very high quality time at the cabin/chalet. So much room for entertainment as a group yet we found quite time at time in our own very spacious rooms. We would love to come back again tear after year. It exceeds our expectations from the pictures, what a gem!

This is a little bit of a difficult review to write but short term rentals only work if there is honest and valuable feedback for both guests and owners. Hopefully it will serve as both. First, the positives. This cabin is absolutely charming. The layout is great for large families and there are plenty of amenities. The hot tub, firepit, games, space, all of it is there. If you want to build a snowman there's a snowman kit. If you want to snow shoe it's there. The love that is poured into the home is definitely felt and it's got fabulous energy. The living room layout is great and the ambience with the fireplace burning, a movie on and family piled up on the couches is priceless. You can tell the owners really want their guests to feel welcome and at home and they have succeeded in this. Communication and check in was smooth and flawless and always appreciated as a first time visitor to an unknown area. The beds were comfortable and the water was hot! The chalet in the back is great for those that want more privacy or just to have more space. There were even Christmas decorations! All wonderful! Now for the part that can be improved. The house was quite dirty and needs a serious deep clean. Top to bottom, from vents to carpets, it is long overdue for a really good scrubbing. We all were taken aback by it given the price point and cleaning fees and there wasn't one area of the home that didn't need serious attention. We are not neat freaks by any stretch and realize this is a home and not a hotel but this was excessive. The second issue is the deferred maintenance on the home really needs to be addressed. Not one shower door closed properly, showerheads were leaking, floor was cracked in one shower, paint was on the wood ceiling and adjoining walls from DIY painting, dishwasher doesn't work well, cabinets are worn and many crooked, carpet needs to be replaced, etc. It's time to show this sweet home the love it deserves. Because it really is a sweet home but the price point to far too high to have these two pretty major issues not dealt with. We are shocked the previous reviews don't mention these items as they are long standing and not a one off. Likely because the hosts are so great and the house is so charming it is overlooked but we would have appreciated the information given the price point. We hope this helps manage expectations for future guests and is something constructive the owners can use to improve their guests experience.

Wow - what a wonderful time was had by all who travelled up to Eagle River for the Thanksgiving holiday! The Lodge and the Chalet were perfect for our large group, who travelled from the lower 48 (Georgia, to be specific) to spend time with our new grandson as well as the new mommy and daddy. Both sets of grandparents, one great-grandparent, an uncle, and a long-time family friend all stayed in the Lodge. There were plenty of bedrooms so that we were all very comfortable in the Lodge, while the new family mostly spent the night in the Chalet. The new mom and dad were also able to hand over the baby to one of several eager grandparents, so we would take turns watching him while the new parents got some much needed rest. There is lots of space in both places, so even with the number of people we had, there were plenty of spaces to retreat and we never felt close to crowded or in each others way. The location itself was great! We went for a nice winter walk across the street in the woods (only discovering one bear track) and went down to the north Eagle River exit if we wanted to find a place to eat or go grocery shopping. For a couple of days, we ranged out as tourists, making it down to the Nature Center in Portage and then up to Palmer. We also went up to the Baldy Mountain trail head for sunrise on Thanksgiving and had a wonderful view of Denali some 130 miles to the northwest. Finally, we also prepared our Thanksgiving feast in the kitchen in the Lodge. There was everything we needed from crock pots, to spices, to lots of pans and bowls. There was plenty of room on the dining table in the Lodge for our large party. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! You have a great place and did a wonderful job taking care of us and making sure we had everything we needed!

My family loved everything about this property. The location was great for day trips and hiking. The home was spacious, and everyone could both spread out and be together. The log cabin made it feel like a real Alaska adventure. My husband said he has never slept better! The host was responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this home for a stay of any length.

well constructed spacious cabin in a woodsy setting with close access to main roads into Anchorage and nearby towns. all rooms were well designed and spacious and exuded comfort and relaxation in a familial atmosphere. thoughtfully appointed providing all of a guest's needs.

We had a wonderful stay here in the cabin for our first Alaska Family vacation. The accommodations were so perfect and the beds were super comfy. There were 10 of us so we were able to cook for our whole family, relax on the back deck with the fire and even enjoyed the hot tub a couple nights. The Young adults stayed in the Chalet separately and had there own bathroom/shower/kitchen and was also able to wash their clothes so we all werent cramped in the big house fighting for bathrooms. Aprille was super nice and was able to be reached easily if we needed anything. Nice, roomy and cozy cabin was perfect!! Location was good, grocery stores were close by and local restaurants and only 20 mins from Anchorage.

Aprille was our hosts. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The house was in a perfect location to travel into the city but still be away from the hustle and bustle. The house is older but that adds to the charm. We felt very comfortable and safe. Thank you again for opening your home to us. We would def stay here again

Dear Aprille, Our stay was absolutely amazing! It was fully stocked with everything we needed from kid’s playground, kids toys and games to all the seasoning and cookware for amazing meals. Thank you so much for the complimentary bottle of wine! The hot tub was amazing and used lots. The other cabin was very helpful and so cozy and cute. The main cabin was very elegant. The whole house was so spacious that even with a full house of family and friends, we were never really in each other’s face lol. Love the fire pit near the hot tub! Love the game room downstairs! Especially loved the beds! Love the laundry chute! The best part of our whole stay was the privacy that we never have in the city and the well water! Wished there was a sauna lol. There’s nothing that you can do to improve for future guests, it’s absolutely perfect!!

The property is beautiful and accommodated our large group well. We enjoyed the firepit and jacuzzi. Great property and Aprille was always responsive to any of questions, she checked in and was very kind. The inside of the house was very clean upon arrival. Beautiful property.

We had a group of 10 ranging from 15 to 65 years old. This was a great place to spread out and not feel on top of each other. The addition of the chalet is a huge bonus! All basic necessities were taken care of. We had some trouble with the lock code on the chalet one night. We contacted Aprille. She reset the code, and problem solved. We were able to take day trips into Seward and Talkeetna from this location. There are lots of hiking trails around to enjoy in Eagle River and Anchorage. The hot tub came in handy for sore muscles. The Moose's Tooth is a must visit restaurant in Anchorage. We all had a great time and returned home exhausted from all the fun we had!

This is an incredible property worth staying at for your vacation. We loved the house and the yard and it was the perfect distance from Anchorage. Aprille was always quick to respond with information or help.

We loved this cabin and it’s cozy Alaska feel. The kids enjoyed the game room and outdoor area, and the adults enjoyed the warm living space and staying near the fire. Everything we needed at the house was provided, and there were plenty of other nice surprises like dry firewood for the fire pit, games, and more. We liked the location with convenient access to the highway and easy drive to Anchorage. There is a nice grocery store 5 minutes away to stock up on food. There are also some great sites north of Anchorage like Knik Glacier and Talkeetna that this location puts you closer to than the city. We would definitely stay here again based on the hospitality at the property and the feel of the cabin itself.

Everyone of us really enjoyed this home. It's nestled in a quiet area with easy access to town. The log cabin style house had a lovely cozy feel. Comfy beds and plenty of seating. Beautiful.

This was the 2nd time we have stayed at the property. It is perfect for a large group. Aprille was such a good host. I asked asked her for the places go and the best places to eat. She did not disappoint us on her recommendations. We will definitely stay there again!

Not sure I can say enough about this home. We stayed here in 2019 and returned in 2021. We were a large group of adults, teens and small children and the home accommodated all of our needs. The layout is great, with the 4 bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs, allowing for privacy when needed. The open space of the kitchen, dining, and living room downstairs allows for great socializing. The house is very well appointed. We had great weather during our stay, so were able to take advantage of the backyard amenities. And we love the touches of the Alaskan/cabin decor. Thank you Aprille - we had another great stay!

Took a friends and family vacation from Georgia for 8 days 12 people ranging from 14-77. This house was a central location for things we wanted to do. We spent all day traveling and sightseeing and would return home late, cook supper, relax by the fire and in the hot tub for a couple hours...crash and repeat. We did Anchorage, Denali, Whittier, Seward, and the wildlife conservation park. Saw a moose calf pair right in the yard very exciting for us!!! Great sleeping arrangements for many group types. Not far from grocery stores also.

This is an amazing place to stay for your Alaska adventure. Our group was two families with kids 14years-18months. We only staid two nights but are already dreaming about coming back to Alaska and staying in this house the whole time! Great place for families, even with our large group no one was stuck sleeping in the hangout space. Also, great location. Couldn’t ask for more!

This place is absolutely amazing. So many amenities and fantastic decor! We loved staying here and could not have asked for anything more. This was a perfect location for our Alaskan vacation. We even saw 2 moose in the neighborhood!

Aprille is very communicative and easy to reach for questions etc...the property was great- hot tub, yard games, trampoline, foosball, lots of space, access to laundry and close to Fred Meyer and nice drive to Eagle River Nature Center for great hiking and scenery. We’d definitely stay here again!
