This property is well situated for visiting Halifax and much of the south shore area. It's located in a private, quiet neighbourhood. The cottage is cozy and the host is more than helpful. A very enjoyable stay!

We loved this vrob in Peggys Cove. The beach is perfect for kids to play and swim. The cottage is modern and roomy. Close to everthing we wanted to explore this time in Nova Scotia 💕 Great hosts and a great time had at Saint Margarets Bay!

Comfortable stay in a great location very convenient for trips to Halifax, Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg. Friendly and readily available host. Really loved Shaw’s Landing restaurant nearby, as well as treats from White Sail. Was lucky to be there during the annual Peggy’s Cove Festival of the Arts. Note the small beach is not private and on nice days will be visited by others.

My husband and I stayed for a week along with my parents and two young children. The views from the whole front of the cottage were amazing, you are literally steps from the water. My son (a huge nature enthusiast) was over the moon about the crabs and starfish he found. The cottage was immaculate and we arrived to a welcome basket of yummy foods, much appreciated after driving for 11 hrs! The location was excellent and allowed us easy access to Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, Lunenberg and others along the south shore. A perfect family getaway ❤️

This was our second visit to this lovely cottage, first was 6 years ago. A perfect location, with great proximity to Peggy's Cove, Halifax, and of course, Ryer's Lobster! My husband , myself and our two poodles had a lovely stay in this well equipped, very clean ‘summer home’. Well located for picking up a few incidentals at the grocery stores. Our adult kids stayed the last night and we had a fire on the beach. A welcome basket was left for us brimming with all sorts of goodies. Only downside is that once booked it is 100% non refundable which presents quite a risk if you book 9 months in advance 😉

Bathroom door handle difficult to open, requires maintenance also door handle on front bayside bedroom. Label of different types of refuse bags would be helpful. Update guest instruction binder for better presentation. TV channel listing would be helpful. Magnificent view. Thought adjoining roads would be noisy but no traffic so very quiet and relaxing environment. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loved this little gem by the ocean! Had everything we needed. Nearby restaurants and grocery shopping, short drive to Halifax. Great hosts!

This cottage is right on the waterfront, with a great little beach perfect for swimming and beautiful views of St Margaret's Bay all day long. Although it doesn't look too big from the outside, there is plenty of space within, with a large living room/kitchen/dining room and three bedrooms and plenty of mod cons, including washer, dryer, dishwasher, tv and wi-fi. The place is very well looked-after. It's also in a very handy location, with a quick drive to the shops at Upper Tantallon and downtown Halifax just 30 minutes away. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay on the South Shore.

This super clean cottage had all of the amenities of home! So comfortable and such an amazing location! Quiet little bay on the ocean that is exactly as is pictured! There was even a lovely welcome basket on our arrival! Responses to any questions were timely, helpful and friendly! We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. It was great to have a dishwasher and washer dryer. Beautiful views of St. Margaret's Bay. Quiet area many great blue herons and eagles. The cottage is handy for day trips Peggy's Cove is close by and Halifax is within an hour and not much further to Lunenburg. We highly recommend this cottage it is the complete package.

The house was perfect for us, so calm and peaceful and easy access for day trips around NS. We were welcomed with a big basket of wine, cheese, and snacks. The location shown on the VRBO map is a little off, but Nick guided us there over the phone when we arrived . Highly recommend this place!

Great cottage in the perfect location

We had a great week (Aug. 19 -26, 2017) relaxing and doing a little sight seeing. Centrally located between Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg; it's a great place to stay for doing day trips to most of what's to see in Nova Scotia. The view from the deck and most of the cottage is superb - a great spot to relax and enjoy a beer or watch the fog roll in! Nick, the owner, was easy to reach regarding instructions etc and had a small gift basket waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage was clean and stocked with all the necessities (utensils, pots, towels, linens, spices and condiments). We had four in our party, but there is room for six in three bedrooms. Our only glitch we realized during our stay was the one bathroom. You'll have to be a very close or well organized family of six to negotiate the bathroom effectively. The cottage is one level and easily accessible, a big plus for my wife's parents who joined us on this trip. I would highly recommend this cottage for a family of four, especially with small children. The single level, open floor plan and small cove and beach right outside your door would offer hours of entertainment for the kids. All in all a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our week in Nova Scotia!

This cottage was very clean upon arrival. There is plenty of room and all the household supplies you would need. The view is so beautiful. We saw cloudy days, sunny days, early morning and sunsets. All gorgeous.

We spent a wonderful week at this cottage. The views of the water are incredible and the property is located close to shopping, Halifax, Peggy's Cove and anywhere else you want to go. My husband and I, son, daughter-in-law, grandson and dog had a wonderful time here. The place is very clean and well equipped. We saw lots of deer! We will definitely plan to rent this spot again.

We couldn't have found a more charming place on the ocean in a very convenient location close to Halifax and Peggy's Cove! We were able to relax while helping our daughter move into Dalhousie University. The gift basket left for us was an unexpected treat, we were able to eat and refresh before heading out for groceries (only 10 minute drive from the cottage). We enjoyed meeting the friendly neighbours and having campfires on the beach. The highlights were the wildlife and quiet nights listening to the ocean waves and watching the sunsets. The bonus was the White Sails Bakery down the road with plenty of gluten free treats and Montreal smoked meat sandwiches. We will definitely be planning a trip back!
