Beautiful home, great location!

We loved this home! There was plenty of room for everyone, a well stocked and functional kitchen. The Bake Shop is walking distance for the house if you want some fresh sour dough bread and homemade jam! We are looking forward to returning!

Lovely home

Great location, great accommodations and so well stocked. We had 6 adults, enjoyed a meal at the home with an evening in the Hot Tub and a fire in the fireplace! We all give this home a 5 star!

This was a perfect place to stay. It was in the middle of everything and a walk away from great dining and incredible scenery. We were a fairly quick drive to Anchorage and very close to amazing recreation, helicopter ride to glaciers and ATVing. It was fabulous. Tammi was always quick to respond with questions. I would recommend this place to stay as the most beautiful and centralized area to stay. Thank you again!!!

I rented this house for the grooms men and their partners from out of town. They had a great time and were very comfortable and happy to stay in this house. The hot tub was a big hit also.

The property was as advertised, actually even better than the pictures showed. We were walking distance to the Girdwood Brewery (great beer) and some restaurants (Jack Sprat was wonderful). Our street was very quiet. It has a very well stocked kitchen and a wonderful hot tub. Thanks for sharing this property with us!

Had a great time here. Got to see some black bears hanging around outside one morning which was great for the kiddos. Centrally located to the ski resort, tram system up to the mountain top, great trails, and is 45 minutes closer to Kenai than Anchorage. Alaska Wildlife Center is also close. Property was clean, with a lot of the stuff you need to make dinner at the house. Tammie was responsive to any messages. All in all, had a great time here.

Right next to a bike shop if you’re interested in renting bikes and exploring the area! The cabin was perfect and very clean! The kitchen was stocked with all the supplies you need to cook and eat. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back again.

This cabin was a true treasure! It made the experience feel like home in our favorite place. It was fully stocked, we brought all the things and it literally had anything we missed and then some. Even a sound machine for my 1 year old to sleep with all the comforts. We had a blast playing Alaskan trivia and all the kids games. The mud room was a dream for after bike rides and hikes. The kitchen and family dining table were perfect for our family and we made memories that we will forever treasure in our happy place.

Do not trust property management, they will keep your deposit. My adult children and I were there for three nights. We washed all dishes we took out all trash and we followed every direction outlined for check out. Instructions ask us to hang up dirty linens and I get half the deposit taken because the towels were too dirty and or stained??!! I was told that the hot tub needed to be drained and cleaned when everyone who got in the hot tub showered first. I Challenged this because I had personally checked things before we left and I was told that the refrigerator smelled like fish. The irony is we never cooked any seafood at all. The house is nothing exceptional and clearly the management cannot be trusted. There are many other places to stay in Girdwood that will offer a better experience. I have stayed all over the world and take pride in being a responsible guest. I have had 53 rentals in the past 11 years and never have I felt treated unfairly until now.

What a great place for family fun. There was plenty of room and sleeping options for a large family. Loved the sound system and speaker options, even in the bathroom! The large deck was a delightful place for a morning cup of coffee. A very well stocked kitchen made cooking meals easy. The location was great for the Cirque Series mountain run.

This cabin was a great find. It was clean, filled with amenities, and in a great location. I'm so glad we stayed in Girdwood instead of Anchorage for our trip.

We chose the hottest week in 100 years to travel to Alaska but we really enjoyed our stay here! They had box fans for us which the other rentals we got did not. Plenty of room in this big home and you really couldn’t be closer to the base of the mountain. Would stay here again.

My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Alpine Haus in Girdwood! It is in fantastic location, walking distance to Alyeska Resort, restaurants and trails. The cabin itself is lovely and is the best stocked VRBO we have rented. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could need to cook a good meal. There were so many games to help keep my kids off electronics. The beds were so comfortable and the blackout shades/drapes helped on these long summer days. The hot tub and gorgeous view were a great way to start and end the day! I wish we could also rent it in ski season - it seems just perfect to access the slopes! The communication with the owner was valuable and helpful both before and during the stay. They clearly love their home, and I am grateful they are willing to share it with others! We would absolutely recommend this home to others! (Future renters should know that the market in Girdwood is small, so if you have specific culinary needs, stock up in Anchorage before heading to the house.)

The cabin was very clean and in an excellent location. It was in the middle of our tours in Anchorage, Seward, and Whittier. I wish it had more of a Mountain View. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay.

I can't say enough nice things about this beautiful log home where my family stayed for a week. Everyone simply loved it! It had the ambiance of a rustic cabin, yet it was clean, updated, had a well stocked kitchen and all other supplies and was in great condition all around. There were plenty of comfortable beds, a handsome dining table and cozy lounge chairs. The younger generation (young adults) especially loved the hot tub, and we all enjoyed the great sound system. And yes, there were bears in the neighborhood, making it a complete Alaska experience! The owners were friendly, honest and handled the rental arrangements professionally. We would all go back there in a heartbeat if we ever have another opportunity to visit Alaska!

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Girdwood and the VRBO was incredible. It easily sleeps 8 and the kitchen is to die for. Because the weather was gorgeous and it stays light so late in the evening my family and I spent hours out on the deck looking at the beautiful lush green landscape. The vrbo is just a 5 minute walk to a wonderful breakfast and lunch place called The Bake Shop where we ate breakfast every morning. This home has all the amenities including a large hot tub on the deck. If renters have children, there is a lower area with a tv, bunk beds, and lots of games. Wonderful family home which is also just minutes from the ski lifts. We can’t say enough about this vrbo and would love to come back and stay longer! Oh yes, while sitting on the deck one afternoon we saw a bear sauntering across the street! Truly Alaska!

My husband and I spent a week in June in this cabin and had a great time. The cabin was spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. We were there to day hike in the surrounding mountains and lounge in the cabin after, and the set up was perfect for our plans. Several trails started only a block away, others were a short drive. The hot tub was wonderful after a long hike. And the kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner for cozy nights in. The internet worked and we had no problem figuring out how to sign into our own Netlix and Pandora accounts to use the cabin's entertainment system.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It was beautiful, immaculate and had everything we could ever need for our large party of varied ages. When I say clean, it looked like they even dusted the inside cabinets before we came...being a rental owner myself I was shocked at how clean this place was kept! If you are looking in the Girdwood area for a rental, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Jenny was awesome to work with too!

Excellent Location The house was great. We easily accommodated the 7 members of our family. The house is well stocked and the Washer & Dryer was a plus. The place provided us the perfect location to travel to various locations and we had an experience we will never forget. Thanks

This house is awesome! We reviewed many houses and were fortunate that it came available. We were a family of 11 and it very much accommodated us. This is very much their family home and the owners have everything you will need. Any questions or issues Jenny and her husband were just a phone call away. The hot tub was just a welcome after long days of hiking. Loved the community, so much to do. Can't recommend this house enough!

The property was just as described, very comfortable. The location is so convenient, makes a great hub for trips to Seward, Prince William Sound & the airport for a day at Brooks Lodge. Did a lot of awesome hiking in the immediate area & when we were through, there were plenty of restaurants to enjoy. So glad we chose Girdwood as a base & our hand crafted cabin "home-away-from-home"
