Lovely property, and waterfront home

This cottage was everything we were looking for! We rented the boat house as well and it was ideal for our daughter and her fiancé. The cottage is private, bright, clean and perfect for enjoying the South Shore! Highlights were the bald eagles, seals, dolphins and the best views of the night skies. We loved our stay.

This was our first family trip with our adult children. There was more than enough room for all 4 couples. The wifi was great and allowed the 2 who had to work stay connected. Good central location to explore the area on easy day trips. Huge deck with great seating to enjoy ocean views all day long! Super comfy beds!

Loved this quiet and beautiful place. The view is magnificent. Close to Lunenberg, Mahone Bay and Peggy’s Cove. Would return for sure.

Beautiful, quiet and scenic get away

Loved the location. There was lots to see and do. Everyone enjoyed watching the seals, bald eagles, king fishers and the elusive dolphins. We will be back.

Our family re-united for a wonderful week at the East Chester cottage. The home was spacious and clean and easily accommodated our group. The deck overlooking the ocean offered outstanding views and lots of room for family to gather. It was great to have the boathouse as an extra space. We would definitely return to this property again.

We had a wonderful stay at the lovely Otter Point beach house. Our family had a fantastic time at this stunning rental. The home and location were perfect. Our family had a great vacation. We would definitely stay at this home again.

The property was very well maintained, clean and had all that we needed. The only down side was no air conditioning as it was quite humid the week we were there and had a hard time escaping that. Over all a great property we would stay again.

Great location on a quiet bay and central for exploring the South Shore. The home is well maintained and clean with comfortable beds and lots of space for a family get together. Wonderful place to relax.

A little piece of heaven
Three generations of adults and this house was perfect. Mom has issues with stairs so having a room on the first floor was a must. We stayed late June so weather was just starting to warm up but still a nice get away. Not that you ever need to leave as the view of the bay is beautiful but if you do your just over half hour car ride to most popular destinations. We had a few adventures to Peggy Cove, Halifax Harbour and a lovely day of golf at Bluenose in Luinenburg

Fabulous view, lovely cottage
The cottage was spacious and clean. We stayed for a week with our two adult children. The view from the front deck was fabulous from morning to night, especially for sunsets.
There was a small rocky beach, but it wasn't easily accessible.
It was a short 10-minute drive to Chester for groceries, and there was lots to see and do along the coast (Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Peggy's Cove).
We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, amazing property
The house is extremely comfortable, with all the amenities you need to make your stay enjoyable. Check-in was dead easy, the welcome book provided all the information you needed, the electric fireplace was a welcome offering on cool November days, and all the beds were very comfortable (queen bed on main level, king and 2 queens on 2nd level, king in bunkhouse). We celebrated our mom 80th birthday and our parents 59th wedding anniversary - a wonderful week we won’t soon forget.

Nice house for some rest and relaxation, house is not far from Chester, we found some great places to eat out.
If you like to watch the birdlife by the sea this is a good place to do that.

Great family vacation spot
This property was perfect for our family of 6 adults and one teen. Our adult son fished off the dock for hours each day. We swam off the dock and rented kayaks for the week. The property was well laid out, plenty of room for us to spread out. Great location, close to nice beaches, restaurants and the towns of Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg.

Perfect get away spot
Great spot. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is amazing.
The three bedroom share a bathroom upstairs which worked out fine for our family.

Lovely Chester Home
The home and boathouse were super for our family of two boys, parents and grandparents with visits from friends. The ocean water was unseasonably warm and the deck very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped, only thing missing is a big pot. Lots of wildlife including otters.

Beautiful waterfront property
This was such a spectacular setting. Storm watching, beautiful sunsets and seeing the sun glisten off the water, was certainly relaxing. The house was well equipped with all the kitchen needs required, games for relaxation and plenty of space to have some alone time. We rented both the main house and the boat house for a work retreat and it definitely was well suited to our needs. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Property!
A girl's trip, first time to Nova Scotia for all of us. House was wonderful. Paul was prompt to answee all of our questions. Many quaint little towns to visit. Loved listening to the water and watching for the high and low tides each day.
House was quiet, comfy, clean and perfect for us. Leaves changed to their full beauty each day we were there. Loved the many hiking trails.

A true vacation
This property is well advertised. It’s is accurate and in fact, we were impressed with the amount of kitchen utensils, etc. it’s only about 10 minutes’ drive into beautiful Chester, where there is a large grocery store, liquor store, fabulous pubs and cafes etc. it’s an ideal location to tour the South Shore of Nova Scotia, and coming back to relax on the very large western-facing deck in those comfy Adirondack chairs, is perfect. We survived Hurricane Dorian while there, losing power for a few days, but were well taken care of by the property manager and we got very creative with meals on the gas BBQ. The addition of the Boat House cottage was ideal for guests wanting a little privacy from the main house.

Perfect for a large group
We had a wonderful stay. The house comfortably accommodated our group of 8 adults with room to spare! The house is bright and rooms are large. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck. A lovely location on the water with beautiful views.

Otter Point -- Oak Island jump off
Our group had a really nice time at Otter Point. We had 6 adults -- 2 60ish brothers and 4 adult children (millennials, 2 singles and a newywed couple. The house worked out great, having 4 BRs and 2 BAs in the main house, plus the boat house "apartment." Really perfect. The views were great and it was a short drive to Chester and Oak Island. We also visited Halifax, Halls Harbour, Ludenburg and Victoria Park in Truro. VRBO has opened up a great way to vacation and this is a perfect example.

Charming and beautiful!
We had such a lovely time on Otter Point! The house was warm and inviting, well appointed and very comfortable! We cooked some yummy meals with local seafood and shared them on the deck overlooking the pristine water and shoreline. The town of Chester is charming and is centrally located to exploring all of the South Shore and sallying further afield. The people are extremely friendly, and we even were invited to a neighbor's house for a glass of wine! The shops, especially the linen shop with cafe were fun to visit. We tried some of the restaurants- the Focsle, the Stretch and the golf course and all were delicious and worth repeat visits. The whole trip was relaxing and memorable!

Wonderful week for a family birthday!
The cottage was in a such beautiful location. We all enjoyed the large deck, boat house and the stunning sun sets. A great deal of thought has gone into what a vacationer would need or want during a stay at Otter Point; made our stay so easy..
We ranged in age from 5 month to 71 and all had a wonderful time.

Wonderful House at Otter Point on Chester Bay
We spent a week at this waterfront home in mid July. Our grown children joined us for a memorable week. The location is perfect for day trip exploring much of Nova Scotia. We cooked many meals at home and the kitchen is adequately stocked for meal prep, dining al fresco, having cocktails and watching the fog roll in made for a vacation we will talk about for years to come. Bedrooms were all comfortable, just note that the three upstairs bedrooms all share one beautifully remodeled bathroom. We didn't spend time in the water as it was still too chilly but we just enjoyed sitting on the porch, overlooking the bay.

Loved the place....wish we had booked the boathouse as well. Ideally placed for Chester and other destinations on the Lighthouse Route.

Wonderful, relaxing vacation
We celebrated our 15 year anniversary at your beautiful house on the South Shore. We were able to relax, unplug and unwind while still enjoying the creature comforts of your wonderful home. We spent many peaceful moments sitting on the deck watching the birds fly over the glistening water. What a view! It was sad to leave so soon but we will be back!
