Great place to relax after hiking all day.

The Log Inn is very much as described. It seems old. The floors are somewhat uneven and squeaky. But that lens some vintage charm. The layout is as if the house was added on to over years. It would sleep 4 comfortably. 6-8 with no crowding. A nice retreat for a long weekend.

This property is in a perfect location. Easy to walk to Mentone Market and also perfect if you have a pup as the sidewalk is perfect for walks.

We absolutely loved it - everything worked great Air conditioning-cold refrigerator-lots of room for everyone and a big back yard. A great place to stay and Susan was awesome! Thank you so much.

Space was more than adequate for our group of three, including one couple. Bed options worked well, with one king and one queen. Two bathrooms. We enjoyed relaxing in one of several sitting areas. Wood paneled walls were beautiful but did make it somewhat dark. Btw, the property is lovely! We drove down the block and checked out deck on the river, but did not take advantage of this feature, it was just too hot during our visit, plus we were concerned about biting insects. As far as the 4 star instead of 5 for checkin process, when we arrived we couldn’t get the code to work. As it turns out, sometimes the deadbolt sticks so a little extra maneuver is required, or just use another door. Of course, we didn’t know this and had no cell service (Verizon), walked to hardware store a short distance away and used Wi-Fi to call Susan for assistance. It all worked out fine but was a bit of a hassle, especially after a fairly long day driving and desiring happy hour! FYI… once inside we were able to login to Wi-Fi and use phones with no problem at all. Thanks Susan! The Log Inn was comfy and we enjoyed our stay. If you like quaint and vintage then this spot will suit you well!

A great quiet stay in a wonderful neighborhood! The ‘log inn’ looks and feels like it was taken out of an old west or settlers movie. Near many outdoor activities, wonderful local markets and restaurants but not terribly far from modern grocers and fast food if you really have to be boring. The locals are friendly and kind and the parks are great. We really enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed the home, Mentone Market, and Moon lake trading company. The falls were beautiful as was the canyon drive. Visited 1882 antiques and ate at the restaurant in Fort Payne. Host was the best! We’ll be back in the late fall!
