Moore’s Mill does not disappoint! This was our second time staying in the cabin and we already have plans to book again. The views and atmosphere are unbeatable. We only live an hour away, but you feel like you are in a whole different world when you are out on the porch. Stephanie has thought of everything to make your stay feel like home. We loved kayaking down to the falls and swimming in the river right off the dock. We made homemade ice cream with the ice cream maker in the kitchen and made a roast one day in the crockpot. 10/10 and absolutely recommend.

We had such a great visit!! The property was immaculate and very well-stocked. Being right on the river with a canoe and 2 kayaks was fantastic for our group of 3 adults and my 2 grandsons ages 6 and 10. There was swimming, paddling, fishing, and rocking on the porch. Nighttime games and fun. Very well-stocked kitchen for our group that enjoys cooking. Mentone is a great little town - lots of art galleries - and we enjoyed the Blueberry Festival at Blueberry Falls Farm. Wildflower Cafe is a must. Great food and the music was fabulous.

We stayed in Mentone Moore's Mill for three nights over the Fourth of July while waiting to pick up our son from camp, and it was the most wonderful getaway. Everything was lovely. From the moment we walked in the house, we felt like a guest, not a renter. The owner had contacted us through vrbo with all the important details of the area and of the house, which is fully stocked with all the appliances you might need, plus a few nice extra touches like cooking spray, extra toilet paper, basic spices, for example, that are not typically included with a vrbo rental, causing you to pack an entire half of your car with all the "extras" you need for a few days of vacation. The home had such a warm, lived in, feeling that made us feel like we were "coming home" and not just staying for a few days. The views of the river were unparalleled. Our family enjoyed the board games, kayaking and canoeing, swimming in the river, fishing, and sitting on the deck overlooking the river in the rocking chairs playing cards. We were so relaxed. While in town, we enjoyed the Henagar Potato Festival about 20 minutes away in Henagar, AL, for the Fourth of July festivities. We went over to Little River Canyon and saw the waterfall and played in the river above it. We had some good meals at Wildflower Cafe and The Hatter Cafe and had ice cream cones and sandwiches at the Mentone Market and villages in town. Everything about our quick trip was exactly what we needed and we will definitely be back!

The word “cabin” conjures up a certain rough edge… and this home is anything but rough! The features and facilities are beautifully upscale and made us feel very comfortable and at home in the space. Stephanie has gone above and beyond typical rental hospitality, and has graciously and generously provided so many personal touches. I will recommend this opportunity to all my friends & family. Being on the mountain gave us a wonderful reprieve from the summer heat, and the water overview from the peaceful porch was so very pleasant. We didn’t have time to take advantage of cannonballing off the dock and we look forward to coming again for a longer visit. I know it will be even more gorgeous in the Fall and Spring with the lovely tree canopies, and masses of rhododendrens. Hope you get there to enjoy this treasure.

This is a great property to rent right on the river very clean and great instructions. The owner was very nice and communicated well We were so happy with our stay hope to stay there again next year.

My parents and I stayed here for a family reunion we were attending that was nearby at De Soto Lodge. And we absolutely loved this place. My Mom said 100 times how much she loved it and told everyone at the reunion about it because we had a whole house to ourselves with a beautiful view of the water. It has everything you could possibly need. It's very quiet and peaceful. It's close enough to stores if you do need anything. I wish we could've stayed longer. Would highly recommend to anyone!

This house and location on the river is the best! Beautiful and peaceful, always so clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. Best host too!

This house had everything we could think of and even things were couldn’t think of. Comfy beds with plenty of space in each room. Lots of little extra welcoming touches. We loved the big bird feeder and seeing a few species of birds. Some of the ladies really enjoyed the library as well. Very close to the park - we enjoyed hiking and kayaking at Desoto. Can’t think of anything to make this a better place to stay.. it has it all.
