This spot was perfect for our family (2 adults and a 5 year old). Very close to everything but removed enough that it was peaceful. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the deck at sunset and had everything we needed. The hosts were so friendly, responded quickly to messages, and accommodating. They checked in a few times to make sure everything was good, but overall gave us lots of privacy. They went out of their way help with our laundry so we didn’t loose any time exploring the area. We would absolutely recommend staying here and wish we could have stayed longer!

Great location, great deck and view, quaint feeling. Host John was a great source of information for area excursions, restaurants, wineries, sightseeing flights, driving day trips, and groceries. Overall perfect experience.

We had booked the cottage but somehow the system allowed it to be double booked. The host was accomodating and gave us the "apartment" at no extra cost. Had we known it was a suite under their house, could hear every movement upstairs and stank of cat urine (huge wet area at front entrance with air purifier going when we arrived), we would have declined. Paihia was great but somewhat ruined by the accommodation.

Our questions got quick responses prior to arrival and John was very welcoming. There is a large deck with a great view. The cottage bedrooms were small, there was no AC and only a small fridge but it had everything we needed. It was quite rainy while we’re were there so the cottage felt damp.

A lovely two-bedroom cottage with a harbour outlook and bush backdrop. All expected amenities. Parking is a bit tight, and the bathroom can stay damp for hours (there is a humidifier), but it's no big deal. Lovely hosts live next door. Would very happily stay here again.

Location is great with views across Pihia out to the Harbour. Easy access to Pihia center and wharf. Ruth was great. She is very friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend her Bach to anyone.

View over Paihia
From the start, prior to our arrival, we had quick responses from John. The cottage is half in the bush (with bird song) and half out with lovely views across to Paihia and the Treaty Grounds, and beyond. The bed was comfortable, the room warm with the heater (we were there in winter), and adequate kitchen facilities for making meals.
John was really helpful with recommendations about places to eat.

Great location for looking around the Bay of Islands. A daytrip to Cape Reinga is easily done and well worth the effort.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Allure cottage.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Allure cottage. It was nice and cosy for the 4 of us, my husband, our 2 sons who are 5 and 4 months old. Loved the big shower, beds were very comfortable and warm. The heaters were turned on for us prior to our arrival which meant that it was nice and warm. Though the cottage was right behind the main house we had our own privacy which was nice. We enjoyed walking down around the back of the house and going on a little 'adventure' as my 5 year old says.
