Great location very spacious room for Amsterdam the host was fantastic with good advice on the area. Easy to get to from train which was explained very well by the host. The stairs are steep but you have to expect that where it is ,it was not an issue for us. host was there to help you with your luggage. Apartment had everything you needed plus extras definitely would recommend this place thanks for a great stay

The location was perfect. Beautiful apartment.

The property's central location and view of the Singel canal were the main positive features for us. There was a decent supermarket about five minutes walk away and a good number of cafes and restaurants nearby. The walk with luggage from Amsterdam Centraal station took about 20 minutes.

For the price we paid (829 euros for 4 nights), we were seriously disappointed with the facilities, Despite its curious 'b&b' label, we knew in advance it did not provide breakfast but the self-catering offer was limited to a microwave, a toaster and a kettle. There was a fully installed cooker but bizarrely this had been disconnected. The shower/toilet area was absolutely tiny and somehow a double bed had been squeezed into what was quite obviously just a single room. There was no circulation space either side of the bed and one of the two overhead lights did not work. There were some French windows overlooking a dingy internal courtyard area but no curtains or blinds so adjoining properties could see right into the apartment at night time - private it was not! There were always quite a lot of people milling around the canal side so outside noise nuisance was a problem and the internal sound-proofing from other apartments was also poor. The access to this second floor property was by means of an extremely narrow and steep stairway (not uncommon in old Dutch properties) but anyone with any kind of mobility issues would have found it near impossible to reach the apartment - it would have been helpful if this very basic access issue had been flagged up in the original advertisement. Overall, we felt this was an amateurish operation that failed to live up to acceptable standards of provision, especially given the hefty cost of the rental. We would not go back or recommend this apartment.

The property was in a great location with lots of shops, cafes, coffee shops and restaurants nearby. We loved sitting at our large living room window looking down at a canal and bridge as the city woke up..the people watching was excellent. Even though the apartment was close to the hustle and bustle of the city it was quiet.

The very steep narrow stairs were a challenge but our host carried our heavy luggage up to our 2nd floor apartment. It was prohibited to use the gas cooker due to government regulations so we couldn’t cook in the apartment. The bathroom was tiny but I believe that is typical of buildings here.

Location was excellent, facilities were great and the views were amazing too.

Our check in wasn’t good. We had to wait about an hour for someone to greet us, but when Chris did he was very polite happy and nice. Water pressure wasn’t fantastic but acceptable.

This 1 bed apartment has all the facilities you will require for your stay with lovely views over one of the many canals. The host was extremely friendly offering numerous ideas for thigs to do in the city. We would definitely stay here again.

The flat was spacious, bed was comfortable. And as advertised, there was no elevator and the stairs were as expected. Our host graciously took care of our luggage both at check in and checkout (at 6 am in the morning). He also arranged for the taxi to take us to the airport and waited with us to make sure we got into the right one.

There was nothing to not like. Everything was as we expected - all part of the experience in another country.

The location was ideal and made accessing the city a breeze. The apartment itself was spacious, well equipped and clean. Kris was a fantastic host and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Even better… we didn’t realise we were staying right next to a famous cookie shop. If you stay here I cannot recommend enough being in the queue early to taste them!

location!location!location Chris was a great host. super, friendly, helpful and attentive. The apartment is very comfortable and perfect for the 2 of us. we were in the heart of the city center where sights and food sources are readily available.

The stairs are very narrow and steep, so be careful if you have a heavy suitcase (this was detailed in the description, but were quite surprised by just how steep they were when we got there!).

The staircase was a bit steep. However the owner helped us to move the luggages downstairs.

Owner was friendly and welcoming, accommodating a change in the check-in time and leaving bags. Apartment was in a great location, with a large bed and lovely furnishings.

Stairs are steep, though 99% of places in Amsterdam will have this issue! Views are gorgeous.

excellent location on the Singel, looking out on to the canal, as the name suggests. we were very warmly welcomed by our helpful host and given lots of useful information about places to visit and eat. the apartment was warm and spacious and well equipped, with a fridge and kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine. although there was a gas hob, local authority regulations meant it couldn’t be used, but that was not a problem as there are plenty of places to eat nearby and further afield. we will definitely return, and stay longer next time.

Not a problem for us, but do be aware that, as a canal house, there is a very steep narrow staircase up to the apartment.

The location is outstanding and the accommodation is spacious. The host was very helpful, providing advice and recommendations. There was a very minor problem with the heating settings in the apartment and when we texted him he appeared immediately and reset the thermostat.

We have no significant criticisms and nothing in the apartment affected our enjoyment of it. The absence of any space to the side of the bed was a minor inconvenience, as was the lack of a wardrobe, but the compensations elsewhere in the apartment more than made up for these. When we return to Amsterdam, we'll definitely stay here again.

the only negative is the steep stairs which are a common feature of many older properties in Amsterdam however our host was very obliging in carrying our cases up and down.

The flat was perfectly located on a beautiful canal that was not too busy but close enough to all the sights and a tram stop just around the corner. It was spotless and very comfortable.

Central location, easy access to all tourist destinations. Quiet in the apartment. Spacious with a heated floor in the bathroom, which was wonderful, especially as it was -2 degrees outside while visiting all the tourist sites. So lovely to come back to a cosy apartment, and have a shower with a warm floor😀. Lovely view over canal. Host very helpful and informative.

The host was amazing! He was lovely and greeted us as we checked in. As a local he gave us a map and talked us through the area and the best spots to visit (also gave us some stroopwafels). As young first time travellers he was amazing and this B&B was perfect. The location was superb making it easy to navigate around Amsterdam. The bedroom being at the back made is super quiet and cozy, we slept amazingly. The interior was beautiful and traditional, we felt at home! We will definitely be coming back!!!!

The location is good and easily accessible to transport and to get around on foot. Host was communicative and assisted with baggage in and out of the unit.

The stairway is very narrow and step and difficult to pass. If you have any mobility issues I would reconsider. The host carried out suitcases up and down which was highly appreciated
