This review is from a group of 4 couples who stayed at this property. This house is beautifully appointed with spectacular views of lake and the Remarkables. Open hot jacuzzi in lower garden was a lovely experience looking up into the cool night sky!

Though the kitchen is well-equipped, the oven (one of two) and stove were not working properly till the technician fixed it the following day. Very poor wifi reception in the bedrooms. Master bedroom is awesome but needs blackout curtain to block out the morning sun. Our stay was marred by an unfortunate incidence. The managing agent was not present when we checked out of the property. Later, we received an email from the agent informing us of a heat mark in the centre of the dining table. We have been very careful from the start of our stay and used table mats and place boards. We could not verify the heat mark apart from the picture from the agent. Though we tried to show her pictures of how we protected the table during our meals, the agent proceeded to get a quotation to repair the heat mark. The cost of the repair was NZD 1303.98 for a small heat mark!!! The high price was due to taking the table offsite, chemically cleaning and varnish instead of doing the job on site. A rather extensive and expensive rectification. The agent deducted this amount from the security deposit without any consultation with us. When we disagreed with the exorbitant charge, the agent intimated that the owner can potentially close down the property while the heat mark is repaired and charge the loss of rental to us !!!! What a high-handed way of dealing with the issue !! Future guests should be warned and make sure that the agent is present at the end of stay and handing over of keys.
